Manda got rid of the raw fish from his name. Even though he knew that most of the dishes were made from a thinly sliced mixture of raw seafood, he did not like it and tended to remove the food mixture from his name.
"Ck. If you don't want to be eaten, you better give it to me. Namasu itself is made from raw seafood. So you can't get rid of all those raw fish slices from your namas." said Ipeh as he picked up the raw fish slices that Manda deliberately set aside from her bowl.
Manda who saw the action of removing the raw ikam slices from her bowl only snorted in annoyance.
"We Malays tend not to eat food like this. Honestly, my tongue is not used to raw food." - Manda.
"That depends on each taste. Indeed, during my stay in Malaysia my own mother never even made cuisine like this. But. if according to my tongue Namasu itself is good enough to eat." commented Ipeh. Unlike the Manda who tend not to like the cuisine that there is raw fish Ipeh even the opposite.
Manda threw his breath out harshly after that he turned to his orange juice drink to relieve his annoyance at the lunch menu this time which did not match his tongue.
Ipeh sees the annoyance of his cognate friend Ipeh intending to comfort him by deliberately giving his dessert rations to Manda.
"You better try this one. I'm sure you'll like it." Ipeh thrusts his plate towards Manda. On the plate offered by Ipeh there is a dessert that resembles a square-shaped jelli.
Manda who saw the dessert was curious about the name of the food offered by Ipeh. While pointing towards the plate, Manda asked like this to Ipeh. "Can you tell me what the name of this food is? To be honest with me this food looks more or less like ordinary jelli pieces that only have a slightly thick size." he asked curiously quite high.
Ipeh glanced at the dessert and immediately answered the question from his friend. "Okay, my friend's name is Yokan. Yokan is a dessert in the form of thick jellies made from red bean paste, agar, and sugar. Yokan also often contains green tea powder, chopped chestnuts, sweet beans or other ingredients mixed in jelli." replied Ipeh while explaining a little information about the dessert to Manda.
Manda who was satisfied to hear the answer from Ipeh intends to immediately try the jelli. Manda also immediately flipped a fork and cut the small jelli and immediately put the piece of jelly into his small mouth.
Seeing Manda who had eaten the dessert it made Ipeh quite curious about the reaction to be given by Manda.
After seeing Manda finish a piece of jelly, Ipeh immediately raised a question about how the taste of the jellie according to Manda.
"How does it feel? I kind of hope that you like it enough." asked Ipeh expectantly.
"Ah..oh that, I think quite good for my mouth." replied Manda while having the jelli in her mouth.
Ipeh felt grateful that Manda did not give a bad comment for this one dish.
"By the way the taste of this jelly is like having a lot of water content in it." said Manda who was still busy chewing his Yokannya.
"That's because the Yokan I gave you is a Mizu Yokan type which means that Yokan uses more water in its making. So naturally when eating Yokan Mizu type will feel more watery." explained Ipeh.
Ipeh took a breath before answering a question from Manda. "Yokan there are two types, namely Neri Yokan and Mizu Yokan. Neri Yokan has a sticky texture, because it is made with less water. While Mizu Yokan, the texture is not too sticky, because it is made with enough water" replied Ipeh.
Manda rounded his mouth shaped like the letter O. "Oo. By the way Ipeh turns out your knowledge of food is quite good as well." praise Manda.
Ipeh showed a distinctive grin his lumping horse was full of pride. "obvious. Prospective food culinary tour guides certainly must have extensive knowledge about food" he said full of pride.
Manda frowned. To be honest he still felt a little confused by the ideals intended by his friend. Because in the article he has never heard the term culinary tour guide food that he knows is just a tour guide only. Because of the curiosity that Manda wanted to ask again but before Manda threw the question to Ipeh, Ipeh himself had first answered a question that had not even been thrown by him.
With a finger swaying to and fro Ipeh said this to Manda. "Ou. Dear Manda before you ask that question, I'm pretty sure you'll want to ask me, right?"
Manda just nodded and then looked at Ipeh with a confused face.
Ipeh smiled at the reaction of his friend who looked confused like that. With full confidence Ipeh immediately gave the answer. "This profession is still or even almost unrecognized by some people but make no mistake in Vietnam itself there is a Street Eats Hanoi founded by Australian immigrants named Mark Lowerson and foodblogger His name was Van Cong Tu. Just so you know Manda in Indonesia itself, a culinary tour was run by the community of Jalansutra and Hungerranger." he replied full of pride.
Manda was amazed when she heard it. "Ou then what are the requirements that need to be mastered to do this profession?"
"The requirement to master to become a culinary tour guide is to have a broad insight for the area to be explored. After that you should also be able to get permission to go to the kitchen where you will visit food processing as a form of your service to tourists, of course, tourists will get their own satisfaction when they are able to see firsthand the processing of the food they eat. And besides that the latter is very important because a culinary tour guide is very important to have extensive knowledge about various culinary histories. Diligent reading books and routinely looking for information about various culinary will add to the treasure in filling out a more attractive tour." explained Ipeh at length.
