05. Daddy's charred face

In the courtyard where Leo used to practice swords, Leo, Alex, and his father were ready with the sword they were carrying. I casually started a training he had not done for a week with his two children.

"alright! We start the exercise." Father say.

With the strategy that Leo and Alex have prepared they prepare with Alex in front and Leo in behind as support.

Seeing the position of his son, the father began to suspect the strategy to be used by them. But he did not think too far and would only judge their attacks.

Alex instantly opened the attack by swinging the vertical sword towards father and was only held back with his sword. But I did not expect that Alex would also attack with a kick to the belly of the father causing the father to retreat one step.

Then Alex again attacked with the same movement but not fended off by the father. Instead of just dodging and attacking Alex. By Alex the attack the father was detained despite not being able to hold it too long due to the difference in strength.

Unexpectedly Leo who from earlier observed also attacked the father's stomach but can be easily avoided.

"your attacks are too predictable!" Father say.

Then Leo began to cast fire magic and pointed it at the face of the father at close range. As a result, his attack hit the target, causing the father to lose balance due to an unexpected attack.

Alex quickly attacked his father's leg and knocked him down. Then Leo swiftly jumped and occupied his father and hit his father's face which looked charred because of his fire magic.

"thud.. Buk.. Bukk.." sound of Leo's punch.

"haha.. We won!" Said Leo.

Seeing his sister's behavior made Alex laugh. "hahaha."

"hey! That's cheating! Since when can you use magic?" ask the father who is still lying occupied by Leo.

"since I left!" answer leo.

"Huh? Since we went to your mother's house?" ask me to make sure.

Leo simply nodded and confirmed his father's words. Then I easily got up and picked up Leo.

I watched Leo closely. He was surprised by Leo's statement. Even he thinks Leo should not have awakened magical powers. But you can easily feel the flow of which is in the body of Leo.

The mother who had been watching their training came closer to inspect Leo's body. All you feel is a fairly small mana capacity because Leo does hide his true strength very well.

Then the mother hugged Leo and said, "it turns out this mother's son is a witch."

But the father asked the mother about the case faced by Leo. Because witches will usually awaken their power when they are 8 - 10 years old.

"Why is Leo able to awaken magical abilities at an age that isn't even 5 yet?"Father say.

" Maybe because Leo is talented. So he can awaken his magic power early." replied the mother.

Hearing his parents' conversation, Leo just smiled as if he did not understand what they were talking about. But in fact, he was very familiar with what mom and dad mentioned.

The next days are fixed with ordinary activities. But Leo also added one activity that is practicing magic with his mother. Although not a high-level witch, his mother Leo is still included in a talented witch.

With a considerable knowledge of magic, Leo was given a simple teaching by the mother. Leo followed with enthusiasm even though he understood more than his mother.

6 Years later.

Leo, who was 10 years old, was about to go on an adventure with his father's acquaintance party. He who should have entered the academy early decided not to come because he was not the heir.

Now Leo and his parents are waiting for the arrival of the party that will bring Leo. Dad was very excited because long enough also they did not meet with old friends father while being a soldier.

While Leo can't wait to see what kind of party members he will follow later.

"that's where they come. Haha.. Still with the same horse-drawn carriage." Said the father who noticed an approaching horse carriage.

A simple horse carriage looks made of metal throughout the train. And the big black horse pulled him.

" because the horse is big! The one being pulled is definitely heavy!" muttered Leo.

The horse-drawn carriage stopped right in the courtyard of the Donovan family's house. Get out 4 different people.

"Yes! Donovans! Long time no see!" Say one of the party members.

"Jack! Long time no see. Looks like you're still single! Hahahaha.." replied the father who followed everyone's laughter.

"Damn you!" then Jack looked at Leo. "so this is the kid you want to leave?" he looked at Leo's face.

According to Leo, Jack is the kind of person who gets along easily. With a small muscular body shape and handsome face even though Leo is more handsome makes him look like a reliable captain. Or more like people who often become the laughingstock of party members.

"Hello. My name is Leonardo Donovan." Leo introduced himself.

"ah yes! I'm Jeremi. The others used to call me Jack. Hello to you." Jack said as he extended his right hand with his trademark smile.

Leo accepted Jack's handshake and smiled back. Then two other members who were women approached introduced themselves.

" hi Leo! I'm Elena! And this is Sylf! He's from the elves!" Elena.

" Hey Elena. Hi Sylf." Said Leo who was quite surprised when he realized that there were members of this party who came from the elf race.

Suddenly Sylf approached and immediately hugged Leo very tightly!" Kyaaa... The cute! "

Sylf hugged Leo very tightly especially Leo's head was between the twin mountains belonging to Sylf which is arguably large makes Leo almost out of breath.

Leo rebelled and tried to let go of Sylf's embrace. And finally managed to escape.

Then the last member is worn by Jack.

"Ah that's Brock. He could only say the word Ho.. Although he was big and his face was scary, he was the kindest person among all the party members." Jack introduced Brock.

The finished Brock immediately raised his hand and said" Ho.. "

Leo followed what Brock did.

" we'll go in first! Why don't you stay here all night? " Say father.

" we'd better get back on our way because we still have a mission to do. " Said Jack.

" But I've cooked a special fish head soup!" Say mother.

Hearing what the mother cooked, Jack, Elena, and Sylf seemed to know the pleasure of mother's cooking. It seems that they have also eaten mother's cuisine which Leo himself thinks is very good with spices that are quite limited in this world.

" Ehemm. If it's fish head soup, it looks like the mission can still wait." Said Jack while scratching the back head that did not itch.
