Chasing Rainbows

First Night

Tom comes out of the bathroom and finds Renata already beginning to scatter on the sofa. Renata immediately approached Tom and accused Tom of nudging many times.

"I'm really sorry to know you, Tom" said Renata, making Tom step back from Renata's presence.

"You really ruined my life, ruined my dreams, my career, and everything. You're mean! You're so mean to me, Tom!" Renata hit Tom in the chest.

Tom didn't pull Renata's punch on his chest, but Tom turned on his phone to record Renata's action. "Don't tell me you're filming me for conspiring with Zella, your crazy niece." Renata shouts while trying to banish Tom who is filming him.

Tom kept himself recording Renata's confession tonight.

"I really hate your family, especially Zella. I hate him so much. He was very cunning to me Tom. He's making me not warty now and having to marry a lousy old man like you." I'm Renata and make Tom very hurt.

"Then what did you really want all this time? What's your goal, Renata?" ask Tom in a raucous tone of voice. Again he had to be disappointed because a woman he loved sincerely turned out to be not in accordance with what he expected.

"Ha ha ha ha." Renata laughed and then sobbed. "I failed to make Zella wretch, I failed to get my Pahlavi, you don't know how much I loved Levi from a long time ago until I let myself go in bui. I really craved it. He was the man I loved so much after Azel so many times refused my love."

"You don't know how I threatened your crazy niece if I thwarted our marriage? And I don't love you very much, even I'm disgusted to be with an old man like you, Tom. I don't want this wedding." cried Renata who then spewed out her entrails on the floor of the hotel room.

Tom pulled Renata straight to the bed. Now Renata lay on the bed and almost closed his eyes.

Renata immediately fell unconscious, while Tom now sits limp. His heart ached deeply after learning Renata's statement despite being drunk.

Tom PoV

I really did not expect, Renata apparently did not love me at all after her relationship with me all this time. She was in a relationship with me just to get her revenge on Zella, which is certainly no match for her.

I was hurt by the woman I loved. I regret not listening to Zella and more following Renata's crazy desires. Even now I have nothing left.

Tom grabbed her hair and shouted loudly. "Why can't I get the love I hoped for?" screeched Tom while leaning his body against the wall.

Even Zella still cares about me by asking Renata to love me, although now my feelings are bland because of her statement on the first night of my marriage to Renata.

I also couldn't possibly divorce Renata because the stakes were my own family. I don't want to embarrass my family. I really owe them.

Tom rubbed his face rough, he called the hotel cleaning service to clean up Renata's vomit marks and rested his very tired body. Without waiting for long, his eyes closed.
