CHASING ILLUSIONS

CHASING ILLUSIONS
17. Bagaskara Again

...“Unfortunately, the closer we get to the day, the more often we are met accidentally, and the more we are trapped in feelings that might be called love.”...

The streets are dense with smoke that billows up, is a familiar sight found during the day in the city of Jakarta. However, this did not deter Anindya from going to the city library at all. The girl who got the title as a sweet woman continued to step her feet towards a building located on the side of the city park. As usual, the building looks empty.

“Sepi again. Huft. It's worth the literacy rate in Indonesia is very low, the library is quiet like this,” Anindya grumbled when he arrived in front of the building.

After checking her phone that had sounded because of the campus group, the girl immediately stepped into the library. Anindya's eyes scanned every corner of the white-decorated room. The girl forgot the last time she entered this room. Huft, busyness is sometimes annoying.

As if awakened from her daydream, Anindya walked towards the bookshelf featuring her lineup of favorite novels. The girl smiled wryly when she found one of the novels she was after. Without a second thought, the girl immediately pulled the novel off the shelf.

“Aduh!” anindya complained when she felt her back hit something. Shortly after, the girl turned her body. For a second, two seconds, Anindya was silent to see who was behind her.

“You again, you again, why the hell do you always show up in front of me and bump into me?” anindya grumbled at the man who was still cengo behind her.

“Sucks once so male.” Hearing him, the man who was none other than Bagaskara glared. It could be, this sweet girl in front of him grumbled when the girl herself hit him.

“Don't look at me like that!” anindya said with a tone of judes.

Bagaskara grew increasingly clueless with the girl before him. Ever since they knew her until now, it was only the first time she saw the girl grumbling like this, even when the man helped her with the final task, Anindya looked calm and calm, as usual. It was very different from today, the girl who hit him, but the girl was also grumbling. Huft, unsettling.

“Heh, you didn't hear me, Bagaskara?!” Anindya's voice made Bagaskara's consciousness return. The man was breathing rough.

“I heard, Anin. I'm sorry to have stood behind you,” said Bagaskara sincerely.

Anindya just nodded. Then, without speaking again, the girl went towards the direction of the book lending place. This, of course, made Bagaskara gawk. Not like Anindya usually like this. Huft, stop. Maybe he really is a guest.

Bagaskara again threw his breath rough. Rather than dizzy thinking of the strange Anindya this time, the man decided to continue his goal of coming to the city library. Yes, looking for a book of poetry from a famous poet that he had long sought.

“Huft, hot once.” The sweet girl flicked her hands to the face, aiming to reduce the sultry taste. However, nil. The sun seems to be fierce this afternoon. So ferocious, the AC that was in the cafe where Anindya was sitting now seemed to be dysfunctional.

“Excuse me, Miss. This is the order,” said Chandra while presenting ice cappucino that Anindya had ordered.

“Hus! Quiet, Chandra. Don't bother me, I'm overheating,” Anindya replied while sipping her ice cappuccino.

Chandra scrunched his forehead. Something was different from Anindya. Usually, this girl always answered his words kindly. But this time it was different. The girl was very strict and thought that she was bothering the girl.

“You're fine, Nin?” ask Chandra gently.

“Iya. I'm kind. Already, continue your work. I don't want you to lose your job just because of me,” Anindya replied.

Anindya let out a rough breath. Lately the mood of the girl is quite messy. In fact, he was not in the midst of the arrival of guests like Chandra and Bagaskara had in mind.

Again, and again. Anindya threw her breath rough. His hands began to focus on opening the book he had borrowed from the library earlier. A moment later, the girl had focused on the novel belonging to the famous writer who became her foster. In fact, the girl did not realize that Bagaskara was sitting in front of her.

Bagaskara. His eyes were watching Anindya who was focusing on the book before him. Bagaskara is not hypocritical, men are amazed at the beauty of Anindya. Thick eyebrows, plump eyelashes, white skin, thin lips, and charming dimples. What a perfect blend. Coupled with the intelligence and potential that the girl had. Had Bagaskara not remembered that Anindya was a cafe waitress, she would have surely courted the girl.

“Bagaskara!” call Anindya.

“Ah, have you finished reading the book, Nin?”

“Already. From earlier on,” replied Anindya while sipping her cappucino.

Bagaskara. “From earlier? That means ...”

“Iya. I realized when you looked at me earlier, Bagaskara. I've even called you repeatedly, but you didn't answer,” Anindya said.

Bagaskara. His face must have been flushed like a boiled crab from enduring embarrassment. Damnit damnit! For the next time, Anindya came back to see him for watching the girl.

“A-I ... did not mean .. em ....” Bagaskara's words were cut short as Anindya shook her laughter. I don't know, Bagaskara's red face is so cute in Anindya's eyes.

“Shut up, Nin. No need to laugh at me like that!” bagaskara sebal.

“Hahaha! I'm sorry, Bagaskara. But, your face is very funny to me,” Anindya said in between her laughter.

Bagaskara pursed her lips. This made Anindya even more anxious towards the man. Either demon from which had possessed the girl until she dared to direct her hand to pinch Bagaskara's cheek. This of course makes Bagaskara gaped. Again, and again. Anindya made her heart beat fast.

“Ups, I'm sorry, Bagaskara. I'm release,” Anindya said.

“Nothing, Miss Sweet.” That was all Bagaskara could say in the midst of his heart beating. However, the simple greeting accompanied by that special call managed to make Anindya's heart pound as well.

A line was imprinted on Anindya's face. Bagaskara always managed to make him happy, even with simple things. In fact, the mood that had been bad, now became better just because of Bagaskara. On the other hand, Bagaskara was stunned with Anindya's smile. Admittedly or not, the girl always has a charm that can make her captivated.

“Very sweet.” The sentence just escaped from Bagaskara's mouth.

Anindya. Did he not hear wrong? A man with a background like Bagaskara praised her as a sweet girl, but she was just a cafe waitress.

“You didn't lie, Bagaskara?”

“Of course not, Miss. You are so sweet,” praise Bagaskara again.

Anindya blushed in shame. It felt like there were thousands of butterflies tickling his stomach. His heart was pounding hard enough and his breathing was choked. Really, Bagaskara always managed to make him lose control of himself.
