"Whose house is this?"

David stopped his car in front of a house not far from the highway.

"Come down, you'll know later"

Aileen turned down, her eyes looking at the door of the house that opened from the inside. He saw Essie coming out with Enrica's hand.

"Essie??" muttered.

The little boy looked at Aileen, then ran quickly towards her.

"Aunty?" Essie ran towards Aileen.

"Darling??, , how are you?" Aileen could not hide her beaming face when she met Essie again. The woman turned to look at David, not expecting David to take her to see Essie.

"I told you you'd get as many as you want" David stroked his head and landed a kiss there.

The man then glanced at Ius who was standing beside Enrica. They looked as if they were talking about something.

David tapped his finger at the table in the garden, occasionally glancing at Ius who was sitting on the opposite chair.

"Sorry, 'PresDir shouldn't have brought Miss Aileen here. You can contact me to bring Essie to your house, so you don't have to bother" her voice was held back as David stared intently at her.

"Are you the one giving the order now??" his voice sounded low, yet terrible in Ius' ears.

Ius cleared his throat, trying to neutralize his fear.

"Sorry PresDir, , regarding Essie, everything is not as easy as we imagine, Essie has two guardians" Ius bowed, he did not dare to look at David.

"Raina's ex-husband?? and me??" he said trying to guess.

"No!, , according to what I know Raina had signed a child custody handover letter to Felix before. She's Raina's Husband's sister"

"Don't Raina appoint me as her guardian?"

"He's looking for investors??" David closed the map in his hand. He looked at Ius before the edge of his eyes saw Aileen's shadow walking towards him.

"Whatever he needs, call him when he's back in Paris" David returns the map to Ius.

"Next we discussed in the office" he added.

Ius lowered his head before leaving David alone in the back garden.

Instantly the dark aura that had enveloped his face disappeared as Aileen got closer. David smiled with a cheerful face.

"Come here" David said as he gently patted his thigh, asking Aileen to sit there.

The woman obeyed her husband's wishes. Aileen was sitting on her lap.

"Why didn't you tell me in advance if you wanted to take me to see Essie?"

"Why?" David keeps Aleen's haircut behind the ear.

"You don't like it?"

"No! it wasn't like that" Aileen raised her face towards David.

"If you tell me early, I can prepare something for her"

"Ai listen to me," David wrapped his arms around Aileen's body.

"Did you like that little girl so much?" he stared fixedly at Aileen, waiting for a definite answer from her mouth.

"Why should I be angry?" David grabs Aileen's chin, forcing the woman back to face him.

"So what do you want if Essie stays with us?"

Aileen was made gaping by the question David asked her.

Aileen had yet to answer her question, but David could guess just by looking at Aileen's extremely happy countenance.

"Creally?, , you let Essie stay with us??" his eyes twinkled like a child who had just gotten all his desires.

"Want to?" David reassured once again.

"You want, , I really want, I want her to stay with us" Aileen hugged her husband tightly, in gratitude for allowing Essie to stay with them.

Aileen instantly let go of her embrace.

"But what?" his face looks serious.

"But it's not free" David then kissed his lips.

"You mean?" Aileen scrunched her eyes.

"Later in the night you have to pay me more" she asked, then kissed Aileen's chest, leaned her head there and held her arms.

Aileen smiled her hand gently stroking David's head affectionately.

"Thank you"

" For what?" David looked up at Aileen.

"Everything, , all your kindness to me" Aileen kissed her forehead, then gently stroked her hair.

"You deserve it Ai" David smiled, then buried his face in Aileen's chest, deliberately moving his head to tickle her, until the woman laughed amusedly for a moment.

"Aunty?" shouted Essie who was running from the inside.

Aileen stood up from David's lap. He bent both knees to wait for Essie to welcome his embrace.

David smiled at the happy hue on Aileen's face, her happiness was far more important than anything in the world to David.

"Listen to Auntie dear, , soon you will come along with Auntie and also Om, , you want?" Aileen tidied up Essie's long, blonde hair to look back.

"really??" Essie responded with the sweetest smile.

David pulled his body back trying to calm himself down. Taking a deep breath to relieve his claustrophobic chest. If the man dies, then David must find Felix, as custody falls into his hands.

"Aunty??" Essie wrapped his arms around Aileen's thigh. The woman stood leaning over Essie's head in her arms.

"Are you ready to go down the street??" Aileen held the little girl's hand.

"Yes" A wide smile adorned his face. It was as if I could not wait to spend some time with Aileen.

"Essie???" the heavy voice of a man from the side, instantly made the two people turn their eyes towards him.
