7 Years later, everything is back to normal. Everyone lives quietly, going about their daily activities without any distractions.
In the afternoon, on Tuesday, a child with his right eye blindfolded walked into the house full of joy. The child was the son of William and Isabelle. His name is Ace.
He was impressed neatly with his school uniform, walking happily, looking around. Step by step he went through with a smile greeting everyone he met.
Upon arrival at home, Ace knocked on the door and opened it, looking at his mother sitting in a chair by the window of his house while weaving a dark purple cloth. He walked to his mother's right side.........
"Mother, ." said Ace while hugging his mother.
"My son.... How was your day at school, son?." said his mother with a smile on her face.
"I have a lot of friends, they like me, but"." said Ace with a smile, and deliberately stopped with a face down.
"But why my son?" asked his mother.
Ace walked towards the mirror in his house. Trying to reach a mirror that is higher than his body. Staring at his face with blindfolded eyes.
"Many of my friends have asked me why I use blindfold" while wiping the blindfold.
He stopped talking. Staring at the blindfold he was using, it occurred to him to try to open a little blindfold from the bottom side near his nose. He tried to open it slowly....
"Ace.
Slightly surprised, Ace took off a touch of his hand on the blinfold, posed as if he were preening in front of a mirror, rubbed his face, and then turned to his mother's gaze. He ran slowly, towards the chair where his mother was weaving cloth. Putting a thin smile on his face, ask his mother.
"Mom, why am I using this blindfold?, my feelings, my eyes are fine." Ace said confidently.
His mother was silent for a while, looking at Ace's sweet face, thinking of the right words to answer Ace's question.
"Hmm... son, you have a privilege in your right eye, therefore it needs a protector so that its privilege remains awake. I want you to keep keeping that blindfold out of your eyes.".
Looking at each other, Ace and his mother smiled sweetly. Hugging each other lovingly.
"Mom.. always knows how to make me smile" Ace said, hugging his mother. Shortly afterwards, the door opened, signaling Ace's father's return from work. His father's tiredness was just lost when he saw Ace and his mother were hugging. A small smile flashed on his father's lips. Ace and his mother turned to the door, looking at his father who was already standing holding a briefcase. Later then....
"Dad...!!" said Ace as he walked to his father, hugging and stroking his face on his father's shirt.
"My son." said his father, hugging Ace with a happy smile.
"Dad, let's hurry to the lake" said Ace excitedly.
"Yes my son, I'm looking forward to this as well.". Ace and his father would go to a lake in a forest to catch fish.
After that they got ready and rushed off to the lake.
On arrival at the lake everything was fine. It looks like a beautiful lake, surrounded by large rocks, light gray, slightly moist soil, and a dense and beautiful pine forest. They choose a place on the rock that is low enough, flat on the top, and comfortable to be used as a place to rest. He carried a fish trap by his father, heading into a lake that reached the end of his father's neck.
Ace at that time was just amazed by the beautiful scenery there. He walked here and there, looking around the surroundings that are still very natural. He quoted the small rocks there, playing by themselves near the big rock where they rested.
The breeze blowing, the piercing cold of the lake water, as well as every edge of the lake that was still filled with mystery, did not make his father turn away in the slightest.
After setting a trap, his father sat on the rock while waiting for the trapped fish, while Ace played around the lake not far from the rock.
Hours passed and his father fell asleep on the stone. Ace who was playing happily, while looking around the lake, suddenly fell silent. He was shocked when he saw a shadow of a child waving his hand, like he was inviting him...
"come here.. come here.. come with me." said the passing vaguely. Ace kept looking at the shadow. Shortly after, his body felt stiff, his mouth seemed unable to say a word, standing rigidly by the edge of the lake.
He felt the energy flowing throughout his body. His gaze slowly began to blur, his body goosebumps violently. He could not hear any sound but the shadow of the little boy whose voice was getting clearer and clearer. "come here. come with me".
Slowly he did not wake up. His body felt stiff, while his legs that continued to move by themselves, stepped towards the call of the shadow.
The shadow continued to take him, directing itself into a very dense forest, where the sunlight did not penetrate the leaves of towering trees.
A few moments later,....
Bruuukkkk. Without a second thought he descended into the lake, lifted a fish trap that weighed almost 10kg, and dragged it to the edge of the lake.
While opening the trap, it dawned on him that Ace was no longer nearby. He looked in all directions, but did not see Ace. With panic peaking, he ran around, shouting his son's name. Looking towards the lake, behind the rocks, wherever he tried to search, but did not find his only child. He continued to search until he was almost frustrated.
How surprised he was, while expressing gratitude in his heart, because at that time the soil conditions were quite moist, so that there were footprints Ace headed into the pine forest. Worryingly, he ran into the forest shouting his son's name,... Ace.... Ace......
While following the footprints, his father ran through the forest. He continued to run until the sky was almost dark. Hours passed, but not to find the end point of the footprints that are long enough to make anyone lazy to move. Without getting tired, he continued to search, calling his son, until the throat felt dry.
Shortly thereafter, the footprints came to a halt in front of a large, dark cave, with water dripping from it. Fear....??? .....??? horrified ???... ignored all that by him.
Slowly he moved his foot inside. Dark as night accompanied by the noise of bats hanging. Light a match. The light bounced off every wall of the cave, almost illuminating the entire passage. At the sight of him, the wall paintings were extremely horrifying, almost closing along the walls of the cave.
shortly thereafter....
"Ace!!!" cried his father.
Ace, who was unconscious at the time, was suddenly shocked and confused as to why he could be there. Ace ran to his father.
"What are you doing here?" said the father in a loud and worried tone as he hugged Ace,
"A... A. akuu." said Ace terkatah.
Due to the noise by him, it caused the swarm of bats to fly out of the cave.
"Let's get out of here." carried Ace tightly, ran out, headed back towards the lake.
Ace, who was confused at the time, thought only of a small black shadow waving at him, ignoring all his father's words.
When they reached the lake, they decided to return home for fear of unwanted things.
to be continued.....
