The Oedi Church located at the foot of the Alaska Snow Mountains is one of 19 large churches on the mainland that worship the Creator. The church is built of ivory white marble. In front of the church are 24 marble columns in the shape of two people hugging. The columns are full of carvings of praise to the Creator and His followers.
An angel statue stood on top of the church, the wings on its back emitting a soft milky white light and enveloping the entire church.
The construction of the Oedi Church took 16 years. On the day the construction was completed, thousands of horn trumpets sounded in the sky, flower petals fell like rain, white light landed. A winged angel looms amid the holy light and blesses the church with ‘welcome angel’. Since then, the Oedi Church has always been shrouded in holy light and has been the only church among the 19 churches God has demonstrated its wonders, other than the Church of Great Light where the Pope resides.
Brunn, the 55-year-old cardinal, closed the book ‘Safety Prayers and ended the evening prayer. The white-clothed choir stepped back, but the high-pitched and solemn hymn still resounded. Staring at the fire on the altar, Brunn felt annoyed and agitated for no reason.
When the moon turned crescent, Brunn finally found the source of his frustration, the new nun Wella who came to church today. With a classic pretty face, a small pointed nose, and sculptured lips, the woman exuded a holy aura. His movements revealed a faint curve behind his white clothes that seemed to be in front of Brunn's eyes.
“Angel,” murmured Brunn. He felt his mouth dry but could not find any water. He cursed in a low voice, then stood up and walked out of the church.
The nun of Wella grew up at the Pope's side and no one knew of her origin. This was the first time he had walked out of the Great Light Church in the past 17 years.
Under the white neck of Wella, not even a white robe could hide the slightest movement from her chest. The rise and fall of Wella's chest imprinted on Brunn's mind and burned his nerves. For the first time, Brunn wishes he was a thief so he could …. Brunn smiled wryly. Any thief could not fight a level 16 Great Light nun. Brunn had been building in the church for over 40 years, but he was only a level 13 Great Light monk. God is truly loving.
He looked up to look at the moon and found that the moon tonight was red. Brunn was astonished and his vision suddenly darkened. The holy light of the church is gone.
Darkness is one of the things Brunn hates most. He suppressed his panic and prayed in a low voice, his hand moved making complicated symbols and was about to cast ‘Holy Light Technique’ level three. In addition to getting rid of demons, this technique also serves as a temporary illumination.
A hand, rather, a black skeleton with magic symbols touched Brunn's throat silently from behind. The skeleton's index finger clawed, then Brunn had no more chance to cast his Sacred Light Technique.
A soldier in full armor stood next to Brunn's corpse. His armor was black, his skeleton hand was holding a long sword that lit up black flames. After he swung the sword, the skeleton soldiers came out of the darkness and charged towards the Great Light Church. An undead knight riding a fiery skeleton horse came out of the darkness and entered the knight camp on both sides of the church.
“What is this?! The guard! The guards! Quickly wake up!”
The noise woke the church knights. There are 400 knights in Oedi Church. The trained knights immediately put on their armor, then some stood guard in front of the camp to hold the skeleton soldiers, the rest prepared weapons. The pastor began to read the prayer.
Under the dim light of the church hallowed, Wella did not show any expression when looking at the necromancer that was in front.
The Necromancer was wearing a black robe, white flames burning in his eyes.
“I am Rodriguez, the necromancer you have been looking for for 300 years.” Rodriguez's voice rang out in Wella's mind.
Wella was surprised. Her power as a level 16 Great Light nun was already close to half that of God. It could be that this necromancer broke through his spiritual defense and telepathized with it. Doesn't that mean the necromancer's spiritual power is so strong that it can control Wella? Just thinking of the name of the strongest necromancer, Rodriguez, any thought would be tarnished by his crimes.
“Let's see the real identity of the nun.” Rodriguez's voice rang out in Wella's mind again. The eyes of the necromancer were fiery, a cold spiritual wave invaded Wella's mind then exploded. Wella groaned, blood coming out from the corner of her lips. Then, one by one the spiritual attacks exploded in Wella's mind.
Wella staggers and is shocked by Rodriguez's power. “Why can a demon of this magnitude escape the eyes of the Father?” Along with another spiritual attack, a power burst forth from Wella's soul, a song of spiritual praise rang out again in the church, a holy light shot out from Wella's body and dispelled the spiritual attack from Rodriguez, a pair of pure-golden white wings opened from Wella's back. Under the holy power, Wella soared into the air, her eyes had completely turned silvery-white.
“On behalf of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I will eliminate this demon.” Wella's voice still pampered the ears, but there was not the slightest emotion. As he recited the prayer, hundreds of balls of holy light condensed around him.
Rodriguez chuckled in a low voice. “I think you're just an ordinary angel, it turns out the Angel of Middle Light. It seems your God does not bless you.”
A large circle appeared on the back floor of Wella, then black flames soared. In the middle of the void circle appeared a huge dragon skull. The skeleton dragon looked at the Angel of Light, then it came out from the middle of the circle. Two-thirds of the church hall had been occupied by a large skeleton dragon.
Wella, who had recovered the form of the fight, should not be afraid of the skeleton dragon; the strongest undead creature. However, this skeleton dragon was different. Ordinary skeleton dragons were not this big, at most only two-thirds of the skeleton dragons in front of him. Then, the skeletons were dark ash and covered in dust and cobwebs due to sleeping all year round. This skeleton dragon was dark in color, faint spells occasionally appearing on his bones. Wella's anxiety is getting stronger. As the Angel of Light, he should be able to fight against two skeleton dragons. Why is he afraid?
“Eh, it seems like I have never heard of the skeleton dragon being called.”
Wella kept wings, her white robe flew, the hymn reached its highest note. He unleashed the strongest magic of the Angel of Light; the Guardians of the Angel of Light, a round milky white ball protecting him.
“I told you that God does not bless you.” The cold voice of the necromancer was again heard in Wella's mind. The wings of the skeleton dragon moved, looking upwards, a soundless roar spreading rapidly. Outside the church, the knights and priests, who attacked the undead who tried to enter the church, were badly injured. Some of the weaker knights vomited blood and fell to the floor. Wella's retaining wall was struck down a few steps back.
“Dragon mountains alone can not stand, if dragon breath ...” Wella did not have time to think, turned around and wanted to run away. At this time, the dragon's breath arrived. The retaining wall of Wella disappeared and appeared. A dazzling strong light and a hurricane suddenly swept through everything in the church.
When everything calmed down, Wella had been embedded in the half-empty church wall, her white robe torn off and exposed her skin filled with traces of blood. After the typhoon stopped, Wella's body fell to the floor and left a trail of blood on the wall.
“Huh, you are undoubtedly indeed the Angel of Light, only the skin was injured after receiving the breath of Artestegra the demon dragon. But your divine power is drained, right?”
Wella spewed out a mouthful of blood, painstakingly pulled out her torn robe to cover the ********* that was exposed, then said, “You must know that all your deeds today have not escaped the eyes of the Father. Even if you are stronger than me, you cannot fight against the king of the gods. Uhuk, uhuk .. let alone the light of judgment will soon come down. You hide also can not be separated from the fate of purification.”
“It seems you don't know what I want yet. As a necromancer, my strength has already reached the limit of this world. The light of any judgment will not land on me. God will not allow the forces that threaten him to emerge. I've been in hiding for 300 years and three want to do it again. My cute Light Angel, give your soul to me now.”
“What?! Nah! No!!” Wella suddenly screamed, no longer as holy as the Angel of Light. The Necromancer cast a spell and the bones of his left arm turned into ashes again. After the spell was recited, Cardinal Brunn entered from outside the church. Her usual well-preserved face was now purplish in color. The wound in the throat made him bleed out, the flesh that looked pale in color. Brunn looked at Wella, his gaze focused on Wella's slender white thigh that was filled with blood and bruises. Under the influence of necromancers, Brunn's lust during life became thousands of times stronger. The Cardinal roared like a wild beast, then rushed towards the Angel of Light.
In some of the mysterious palaces on the mainland, some people woke up from a deep sleep and looked towards the church. Everyone in Puth Harbor woke up from a nightmare. Some people came out of the house and were astonished to find that the night sky had turned into a dark blood red color. The church that is usually seen though from afar disappears. The earth is shaking slowly.
The cardinal's heavy breath that was like a ferocious beast resounded in the church. The golden altar creaked as if it was not powerfully holding the weight on it. Outside the church, a white cloud quickly rose and floated towards the church. The blood cloud that enveloped the church compressed into the sky above the church, but it still survived. An angry voice rang out from the wisp of white clouds, then a holy light fell through the clouds. The dead bodies in front of the church began to burn under the holy light. Screams of suffering were heard everywhere.
The Necromancer continued to cast spells, his bones cracked, the flames in his eyes grew even more burning as he stared at the moving body above the altar. Together with a loud roar, seeds scattered on Wella's body.
Wella's mentality finally shattered right then and there. The eyes of the necromancer, whose body was left half, sparkled. Skull exploded. A small person, who was transparent yet entangled by the black aura, came out. The necromancer opened his mouth and spewed out a pearl. An intricate magic layer floated around the pearl.
“Will I see where you can run under this Pearl Soul Artifact! Hahaha!”
The Angel of Light was transparent sucked by the pearl. The Necromancer looked at the soul that was confined within the pearl, then laughed. Then, his remaining bones also exploded, a black aura penetrating into the pearl.
The white sky in the sky shot out a green flame of tosca, the blood cloud had burned out, the Port of Puth was shone down like daylight. The townspeople stood on the street and watched the strange phenomenon in fear.
The spiritual chant again sounded in the clouds, white light falling from the sky. The church covered in light started to burn. The black aura disappeared within the flames.
In the year 682 of the sacred calendar, the Oedi Church was annulled by the undead. The strongest necromancer, Rodriguez, is struck down by the light of judgment, annihilated by an angry God. The Oedi Church, known as the brilliant church, was burned to the ground by purgatory.
