Beyonders World's
Chapter 20: A different path

Kevin did not rush after successfully completing the Heretic Undead Castle earlier, he moved while finishing the fine ruins or dungeons in the Prehistoric Black Tomb region, especially to increase the amount of wealth so that he could be safe.

In addition, he was very surprised to find that Akane and Chitose had different attitudes. More precisely, the relationship between the two of them somehow became even tighter, and a romantic atmosphere almost emerged whenever there was free time.

But, Kevin was amazed by the results they had obtained during this one week, even they had completely not used the Starlight Crystallization he had given, it shows their determination to strengthen themselves.

Starting from the stats to the Ability both of them had undergone many major changes, and the strength they possessed had already exceeded the standards of Transmigrators in the Beginner Region. Moreover, they experienced something that made the doubts of their actions disappear.

At first, Akane and Chitose have doubts about killing their fellow humans, even after learning that they committed an unforgivable crime, they both still tremble when they are about to kill him. But, the auras of the two of them had changed a lot, and that was probably due to them successfully completing a dungeon suggested by him.

“By the way Kevin-san, where are we going now?” Akane asked as the surroundings started to get weird.

Right now, before Kevin wanted to continue his steps, he would give a good present to both of them. But, Akane and Chitose began to feel goosebumps and discomfort with this situation, even much more sinister than they could face.

“Oh? you don't want the gift I'm giving you? then let's go back.” Kevin stopped with a faint smile on his face.

“No! we were just wondering where Kevin-san would take us, instead of us rejecting the reward!” Chitose protested with a frown.

Kevin simply blinked his eyes with a mysterious smile on his face, he flicked his finger gently in the air, and a golden white flame appeared above his index finger.

“You will know the answer yourself.”

Swoss!!

The tongue of fire shot forward with an enormous amount, it burned the pile of spiked black roots that covered the path, the blaze was so hot that Akane and Chitose had to take a few steps back and cover their faces.

The blazing flames quickly burned the entire thorny black root, leaving behind a trail of black ash before a path appeared, extremely dark and filled with the sound of crows constantly letting out sounds.

“Let's follow me, of course if you have the courage.” Kevin stepped forward without turning.

Akane and Chitose stared at each other in confusion, before deciding to follow Kevin's steps.

The extremely quiet and calm path made the fear that appeared in their hearts disappear, instead now being replaced by an inexplicable sadness, plus they feel familiar with the situation of the road they are on, and the direction they are headed as if they have seen it before.

“Is this the way to a place similar to a grave, right?” Akane opened her mouth after noticing the surrounding situation.

“K-Cemetery?” Chitose gasped in shock and put on a frightened face.

“It's true it's a grave, but what will see is different, let's hurry.” Kevin answered it simply without telling further details.

In addition to being his last stop, Kevin remembered that there was something good for Akane, so he wanted to present a secret 'Ability' stored there.

It didn't take long, the three of them reached the grave. But, the grave in question was not in accordance with the expectations of Akane or Chitose, rather this was a tomb for thousands of old swords that were plugged into the ground like tombstones, and always appears a unique energy in bright black.

“Is this the graveyard of swords that often appear in anime and manga?” Chitose calmed down a little because the grave that was inside her mind did not materialize.

Kevin nodded lightly with a faint smile on his face. “That's right, also this is my last stop at Prehistoric Black Tomb. So, before I go for the affair, there are some things you need to get first.”

“Ah .. well then, we will come with.” Akane took the decision to follow Kevin's lead, and Chitose nodded in agreement in return.

Due to their not-so-large size, they arrived at a coffin made of stone, a broken sword engraving that had a unique meaning, and an old sword that stuck vertically.

Kevin did not delay the work, he quickly searched around the coffin immediately without caring for Akane and Chitose's surprised expression. They both think that they are required to do respect, but expectations are not in accordance with reality.

“Ah! already can, it turns out the location has not changed after all these years I did not take that route.” Kevin took out a purple Pill that emitted a purplish black mist, and there was an extremely powerful as well as gripping aura emanating.

Akane caught it quickly, but her face became a little frowning after paying a good look at it. “This ... what is this, Kevin-san? it feels like I'm dealing with something very powerful and intimidating.”

“That is Demonic Soul Pill, combine it with your Personal Abilities {Dagger Art}. I won't tell you what will come up, but if you dare to make a decision, then take that Ability, because I can assure you that it is very powerful,” said Kevin with a light gaze without any issue.

Akane feels strange, but she believes that Kevin does not intend to harm her, maybe what she means is that there is a risk or a painful process when getting the Ability in question

“B-What about me?” Chitose asked with sparkling eyes.

What's wrong with her? but well, this girl is planning to obtain that Ability, so I have to give something good. Perhaps, a Magic Orb and a collection of high-level Magic Spells.

Kevin handed over a book and an Orb that was as big as his hand as a nineteen-year-old woman, he didn't really expect that Chitose would be happy or make a good reaction. But, he changed his mind after seeing Chitose's eyes sparkling with pleasure, and he seemed to want to jump because he was happy.

“No... Why do I look like a father giving gifts to his children?” Kevin felt awkward looking at the delighted expression that emanated from Akane and Chitose's faces.

He immediately shook his head gently without thinking about it anymore. “Alright, you guys enjoy your time first, it's up to you to do what, but keep a good grasp of Starlight Crystallization, maybe this will be a little long, because I will deal with old friends.”

“Good! we understand.” Akane and Chitose nodded in agreement simultaneously.

Kevin nodded lightly, he took out a paper containing a pattern to open the Prehistoric Black Tomb exit, and immediately handed it to the two of them.

He began to explain what they needed to do, because he did not know exactly how long he had to spend in that place, but he has to trust Akane and Chitose to do some important things. Surely the reward given by him was his payment, if they managed to do his duty which he gave well, then he would give something good.

“All right we understand, excuse me.” Akane lowered her head politely as a form of respect.

The two of them immediately left without turning around, but Kevin knew that there was reluctance from their actions. After all, even though the time the three of them spent was quite short, but a small bond was formed between the three of them.

“Hah ... it feels a lot harder than when it was a game, but I don't want to be immersed in this kind of atmosphere.” Kevin let out a long sigh while staring at the coffin, and immediately took out a key.

[The Key of Eternal Hell]

Rank: Unknown

Type: Lock

Description: A key that becomes the entry into the world of Eternal Hell.

Simple without any extra excess, but only two words have made Kevin's hair stand up. There was a reason why he was pacing all over the Beginner Territory, forgetting the presence of his wife who might be looking for him.

He had realized the cruel reality that would await in the future, especially after realizing that it was not only him who became a Transmigrator, so there was a high possibility of many unexpected variables appearing, where it will affect the knowledge and information he knows about the Beyonders game so useless.

“Then from that, I will take this risk to gain strength! great power is enough to overcome all kinds of affairs that will arise later, so let's just start, the main step for my power path.” Kevin immediately turned the key into empty air in front of him.

Dritt!

[You've used The Key of Eternal Hell!]

There appeared a reddish spark before him, a gust of strong wind that gave off a frightening feeling, as well as a terrifying shadow that was filled with deadly fire monsters.

A few seconds later, a small gate made of iron appeared, where there were patterns and carvings that were very foreign, but also gave a threatening feeling.

[Do you want to enter the world of Eternal Hell?]

Kevin touched the gate with a wry smile, but he immediately showed a confident look. “There is no such thing as free food in this world, so of course my answer is, Yes!”
