Between Maghrib and Isya

Between Maghrib and Isya
Ramadan in Pesantren

The month of Rajab and Sya’ban has been passed, now Muslims rejoice to welcome the arrival of a glorious month, a holy month, a month better than a thousand months, and the, every month that does good will double its reward. Especially in the month of Ramadan.

There is something different about Ramadan this time. Ramadan this time I am not with my family, I still have to be faithful in the pesantren until the end of Ramadan. And this is my first Ramadan without my father. Usually sahur, open and clean with father and mother, this time must be with a friend of the cottage friend.

“Li, usually activities if the month of Ramadan is what?”, ask me when I get out of the mosque after performing the first pre-dawn prayers.

“ as usual anyway but like school hours in the accelerated 15 minutes of his return, njai also accelerated 10 minutes of his return, he said, later we will open together in the mosque and then perform maghrib prayer together but it runs out back to the room, usually there is a salary, well the schedule is changed to the cleanest used up commonly called tadarusan. That's it anyway. But usually every 17th Ramadan there are activities like that. I guarantee that fasting in ponpes will not feel hungry or thirsty. Definitely more exciting”, explained Lili

“oh gotu”, say me

This Ramadan I have been giving so much thanks. I don't want Ramadan this time in vain. I want to see my reward, more self-introspection, improved attitude and more.

It does not feel like we have entered the 16th day of Ramadan, tomorrow is the 17th day of Ramadan. As said by Lili yesterday that on the 17th day of Ramadan there will be activities. After the prayer teraweh abah Faiz conveyed some information for the activities on the 17th day of Ramadan.

“Assalamu’alaikum warahmatulli wabarakatuh. Whatoffer everything? Abah hopes that all will remain healthy and remain enthusiastic in undergoing his fast service. Must remain resistant to lust, lust here is not only resistant to hunger and thirst, but also keep the talk, attitude and most importantly keep the view. Beware you who akhwat see the brother or vice versa. Hayooo who does not take care of the eyes.well, there is something you want to convey. It doesn't feel like we've been fasting for 16 days. Tomorrow night we enter the 17th night of Ramadan. As we know that in the 17th of Ramadan is the day on which the Qur’an is revealed through the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Nuzulul Qur’an. So tomorrow night we will hold sholawatan, recite the holy verse of the Qur’an and the last one we will eat tumpeng together. Abah hope all students can follow the activities tomorrow. Well that's all I said, hopefully we stay healthy and can follow the activities tomorrow. Aamiin Aamiin to Rabbal Alamin. Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatulli wabarakatuh”, explained Abah Faiz with a little joke.

“Wa’alaikumsalam warahmatulli wabarakatuh”, jama’ah reply simultaneously

“ih ayuukk, so do not limp so it must be crushed tuh body. Oh yes, this is in the kitchen canteen, you do not want to wash your eyes?”, woo Lily

“hah? Come on if so”, if Dita who arrived was excited

“Assalamu’alaikum umi”, say I when entering the house umi

“Wa’alaikumsalam, uh Nara, what's up Nara?”, asked abah who sat on the living room sofa

“tadi said Lily I called the same umi bah”, answer me

“oh, his umi is in the kitchen, enter Nara”, pinta abah

“good bah. Excuse bah”

“eh Nara has arrived. This umi want help, please help umi yes make tumpeng for the event later tonight. Nara is not busy, right?”, asked umi

“not really umi, even Nara is happy if told to help. Here umi, what can Nara help?”

“Nara peeled potatoes aja yes, later the potatoes want to be made chili chips as a complementary menu aja”

“oh. Usually if the event is like this menu what is umi?”

“ada chicken opor, urap, sambal tempe sama tahu. But this umi want to add potato chips to make it more steady”

“waahh really good like umi. Nara has never participated in gini” kayak activities

“iya darling. You will try ya”

“normally umi herself who worked this all?”

“not, usually the same other santri as well. But this time because there is you, your own child, so do not papa right if you ask helpi”

“gak papa dong umi. Nara is very happy to be able to help us. Nara is kangen with mama”

“oh yes, if you want to call your mom you don't papa darling. Let umi love hp you”

“iya umi, aja” later

I haven't called my mom in a week. Not because I don't want to, it's just that I'm so busy with activities in this pesantren until I don't have time to call mama. I also hesitate to ask my phone to umi at night. Forgive Nara ma.

“umi, here are the potatoes. Want to cut kayak where umi?”, ask me when I have finished peeling potatoes

“biarin aja there Nara, ntar let umi the potongi. Can you please take pandan leaves with orange leaves in the backyard?. Umi want to make banana compote also so use pandan leaves let it smelli”

“can umi. Bentar ya umi let Nara take first”, say me before going to the backyard

“aduuhh I do not know which pandan” leaves, if I am confused looking for pandan leaves

“antum is working on what?”, says someone

“this I again sonorous pandan leaves, but I do not know which pandan” leaves, I replied without seeing who the person who asked it

Degs…

“Astaghfirulllah”, I'm surprised

“why? How do you feel about ghosts?”, asked the person

“e..no papa. I was surprised to see you”, I replied while looking down

“antum was loud again what?”

“i I was told umi take pandan leaves and orange leaves. But I don't know which pandan leaves hehehe”

“you yourself reached here?”, ask me confused

“oh yes, I initially met umi in the kitchen to give you brown sugar that you asked to buy earlier, continue to tell me to make a sonorous antum help pandanus leaves and orange leaves, and, because umi forgot to tell you her place”, explained A’a Fachri

“oh gitu”

“the place is not here. Ayuuk come with me”, pinta A’a Fachri

“you're Umi's niece huh? The one from Surabaya?”, asked again while walking to where the pandan leaves are located

“iya”, answer me briefly

“aduuhh where pandan leaves and orange leaves are located. How long will my heart beat?”, I say in my heart

“ini. That's pandan leaves. Well let me take the orange leaves, because the orange leaves there durinya”, pinta A’a Fachri

“thank you A’a”, say me

“waahh A’a Fachri just knew it was like his attitude. I am getting more and more ni”, I feel in my heart

After taking some pandan leaves and helped A’a Fachri take the orange leaves, we went back to the house Umi Henny.

After weeding all the dishes with Umi, finally the breaking time arrived. All the santri and the ustadzah ate the food that was in front of them. After that we performed maghrib prayer. After performing the maghrib prayer, we cleaned up the former.

After that we perform Islamic prayers because the time of prayer isya and teraweh has arrived.

The prayer has been performed. As Faiz said last night, that tonight will be held Nuzul Qur’an as a warning of the descent of the Qur’an.

Abah Faiz said a few words as an opening. Next followed by the recitation of the holy verse of the Qur’an, sholawatan and dhikr together. After that speech by ustadz Syahrul.

The Qur'an is the great miracle that Allah gave to the Prophet. A guide for all humans. Good news to all who believe. So the descent of the Qur'an is an important event that will not be timeless.

Through the Angel Gabriel, the Quran as a revelation was revealed by Allah to the Prophet Muhammad SAW which was at that time located in Jabal Nur, Cave of Hira. At that time the Prophet was 40 years, 6 months, 8 days according to the year of Qamariyah.

The beginning of the Quran begins with the first 5 verses from Surat Al 'Alaq. This event is called Nuzulul Quran..

al-alaq's Epistle verses 1-5

"Read with (called) the name of your Lord who created,"

"He has created man from a clot of blood."

"Read, and your Lord is the Most High,"

"The one who teaches (man) with a pen"

"He teaches man what he does not know."

Regarding the Quran, Allah said in QS. Al-Baqarah verse 185 which reads:

It means: "The month of Ramadan is (the month) in which the Quran is revealed, as a guide for man and explanations of the guidance and the distinction (between the true and the false). And whosoever of you is in that month, then be content. And whoever is sick or on the way (he does not fast), then (must replace it), as many days as he leaves, on other days. Allah wants ease for you, and does not want hardship for you. Let you measure up the number and exalt God for His guidance which is given to you, that you may be thankful."

Please note that the night of Nuzulul Qur'an has many privileges as a major event in Islamic history. The first privilege is the appointment of Prophet Muhammad SAW as an Apostle and received the first revelation in Ramadan, precisely on the night of Nuzul Qur'an

After Mr. Ustadz Syahrul delivered his speech, the last event was to cut the tumpeng and eat together.

“God, what a wonderful togetherness. It was so warm when felt. Thank you Rabbi, You have sent down the Qur’an in the glorious moon, You give light to your beloved people with the descent of this Qur’an as a light, as a guide, as a guide, as proof of your affection. Thank you Rabbi”

"Then read the holy verse of the Qur'an at least 1 verse every day so that you get a reward"

"The Qur'an can change your life"
