Bento: The Real Bright Star
Surah Introduction to Bed Betrand

~ Author's POV ~

That night, after Betrand awoke from his sleep, he again tried to close his eyes.

But for some reason, his eyes were extremely difficult to enter the dream world.

A few minutes had passed, but he was just flipping through his body.

Betrand became concerned, wanting to fall asleep. But his eyes seemed to be unable to compromise.

Because he could not stand it anymore, Betrand finally decided to go to his brother's room.

Coincidentally, their rooms were also close to each other.

Slowly Betrand opened the door of his room. Before he came out, he made sure his mother's father wasn't there. All that for the sake of no more commotion.

After he made sure things were safe. Betrand then walked outside sneaking towards his sister's room.

He opened the doorknob of Aulia's room slowly, but it turned out that the brother's room light was dead.

"Well, my sister is asleep" said Betrand slowly.

Even so, he kept the lights on and approached his sleeping brother.

"Sister... Brother!" betrand said softly while shaking Aulia's body.

"Emm.." suddenly, Aulia opened her eyes and she saw her sister was already nearby.

"Lho... Betrand, why haven't you slept yet, Grandpa?" said Aulia while trying to maximize her eyesight.

"I can't sleep, Brother!" betrand replied with a frown.

"Hmmm..." Aulia immediately woke up.

"Sister.I sleep here, yes.Bareng Brother!" betrand said slowly.

"Yes, I can do it, honey. Now go to sleep, yeah!" reply Aulia while stroking her sister's hair.

"Betrand can't sleep, all right?" aulia asked while kissing Betrand's cheek.

"I can't," Betrand replied visibly worriedly.

Aulia also thought hard how her sister could fall asleep.

He told Betrand to make his sleeping position as comfortable as possible, and Betrand was told to do breathing exercises.

A few seconds later...

Aulia tried the Quran while stroking Betrand's hand. All of that to make his sister fall asleep quickly.

"Allaahu laaaaa ilaaha illaa huwal hayyul qoyyum. Laa ta'khuzuhuu sinatuw wa laa nauum. Lahuu maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil-ard, man zal lazii yasfau 'indaahuuuu illa bi iznih, ya'lamu maa baina aidiihim wa maa kholfahum...."

Aulia saw Betrand and she fell asleep.

Only with the melodious voice of Aulia and the effect of the Qur'an as a lullaby relaxation made Betrand finally fall into a deep sleep.

Yep...

Indeed, listening to the Qur'an before going to sleep has many benefits. Not only makes it easier for us to sleep, but also able to make the head becomes fresh, then the brain and nerves become more alive because it is reactivated by the readings of the Qur'an.

"Well... Betrand's asleep. Sleep well, baby!" aulia said softly while kissing Betrand's cheek and then she wrapped her sister affectionately.

After that, he turned off the lights. And back to the bed. He only turned on the sleeping lights because Betrand did not like it if he slept in a state of lights not on.

Aulia quietly placed her head on the pillow. Before he went to sleep, he looked at the face of his sister who was sleeping. The memory of the quarrel between him and his parents some time ago was again recorded clearly in his memory.

Aulia slowly changed her sleeping position while staring at the ceiling of her room. At first he looked at Betrand.

Oh my...

Betrand lived for 11 years, but he had never had the affection of Mother and Father. In fact, I who was only 1 year adrift with her had to take care of her from childhood until this moment, Aulia's inner being while looking at her sister's face.

"Lord...

Strengthen me...

I want to see my sister grow up to be a successful person.

Although only through my guidance and upbringing," whispered Aulia softly while holding her sister's cheek gently.

Yep..

Only do'a and hope for her sister is what Aulia always keeps and she keeps in her heart. He always believed that someday Betrand would be a successful person even though his sister only grew through guidance, upbringing, and affection from him.
