Chapter 11

Aisyah frowned as she was astonished by her daughter. Airin said that he had met Damar and lived together on the bank of the river not far from the market. But for real he could not see what Airin was seeing at the time.

"Please... " Shouted Airin running away trying to dodge the black shadow figure that was chasing her.

"Please... " His shout again continued to run nonstop.

"Where are you going? You can't run anymore. Wherever you go, we will meet you" said the black shadow which is not clear its true form. The shadow continued to chase Airin.

Airin continued and continued to run through the dark dense forest without anyone there. His legs had tired of running to avoid being caught by the shadow that kept chasing him earlier.

"Please... " Shouted Airin again until at the end he fell because his feet were tripped by the tree roots that he passed.

Airin cried fearfully inching backwards from that shadow.

"Who are y'all? What do you want from me?" Airin said in a frightened cry.

"We just want you. You should come with us. We have waited for this moment for a long time. And now comes the time for you to be ours" said the shadow was trying to hold Airin's hand.

"No, I don't want to go with you. I don't know you guys. Take me off.... Please" Shouted Airin.

Instantly the hand grip of the black shadow into the hand of Airin was released as the arrow passed in front of his two. That made them shocked.

Airin saw who was trying to help him.

"Damar" said her mouth full of happiness.

"You again, why are you always bothering us"

"I never disturbed you. You are the one who always bothers the girl" said Damar casually.

"He's ours, it's only natural he's back with us" the shadow chief said.

"No, he shouldn't be with you. He has blood from our tribe. So you don't expect you guys to get it. I won't let that happen" Damar said again.

"Bad you. Attack him" said the shadow chief, ordering his three men to attack Damar.

There was a fight between them. Damar attacked the shadow with his crossbow in a row.

Airin who witnessed a fight between them also tried to hide behind a tree.

"Jeez Damar" Her inner being was full of fear.

The black shadow had attacked Damar with his sword. However, Damar managed to dodge the attack. The black shadow army is no match. He could easily defeat the shadow and the shadow escaped.

"Thank you Damar" said Airin out of hiding.

"Who are they Damar. Why do they always bother me?" Ask Airin to Damar.

"They are the Orx that are trying to take you"

"Captured me? For what and why?"

"Because you have mixed blood. That's what makes them want to take you. They will be the sacrifices to strengthen the power of their king. If that happens, then they will rule this world" Damar told Airin.

"Well you're back. It is time for you to return to your realm" said Damar when he heard the sound of roosters crowing. It signifies the day is already dawn and the time Airin woke up from his sleep.

Damar also left Airin who was still dumbfounded because he did not understand what Damar meant.

"Wait room" Shouted Airin trying to stop Damar. But Damar did not pay attention to it. The young man continued to walk forward ignoring the call from Airin.

Airin's trying to catch up to Damar. However, Damar disappeared behind the thick fog ahead there.

"What did Damar mean?" Inner Airin again.

"Darling, are you awake?" Said Aisyah seeing her only wayang princess sitting on her bed.

"Yes buk"

Airin simply replied with a smile to her mother.
