"Where are you going?" alisha asked, frowning as Adnan turned his car not towards their house but to another place.
"Close somewhere first" Adnan replied without looking back where Alisha was because she was still focusing on the streets.
After getting an answer like that, Alisha went back to being silent like before even this time she chose to close her eyes, not wanting to know where Adnan would take her, because she did not care other than that she was also still upset with her husband, especially Adnan did not say anything since then. He needs an explanation, he hopes Adnan will apologize to him and explain everything without exception. Though if in thought Adnan did not know why he left the house, ah let the important thing he needed an explanation. I want Adnan to know if it's not the reason he escaped. Selfish indeed.
"Dear awake, has arrived." Adnan touched the cheek of Alisha who fell asleep soundly in the back seat, even until he opened the back door Alisha was still asleep completely not disturbed.
Alisha blinked her eyes, then she let out a long sigh preparing to descend without wanting to know if they had reached where? After he got out of the car, his forehead shriveled around which turned out not to be in his yard, even though this place was not a foreign place to him, but why did Adnan take him to this place? Even her husband had never taken her to this place before. Just now he was about to open the car door, but Adnan first grabbed his wrist.
"We stopped by here for a while, I want to tell you something," said Adnan, understanding Alisha's confusion.
"Don't be long, I miss Cantika," said cynical Alisha, trying to get her hand out of Adnan's grasp but to no avail.
Adnan kept bringing him into that place which was nothing but a park. Invite him to sit in a chair under a shady tree, a chair that he used to sit when bored at home or when lazy to gather with his friends. Ah, he remembered that time, looking far away when he was still innocent, while fighting over toys with his twin brother.
His daydreams grew perfect when he saw some children wearing elementary school clothes, imagining a time when he was their age. But he realized, it was still too early and why did the school children wearing red white uniforms play in the park? Do they truant, if it means education today is very concerning. He shook his head when he thought of the children ahead.
"Why?" adnan asked in surprise when he found Alisha shaking her head while looking at the children in red white uniforms in front of them.
Alisha shook her head again, this time Adnan knew if it was the answer to her question earlier.
"I know what made you angry until you left the house," Adnan turned to Alisha who was still staring straight at the children in the red white uniform. He changed his position to face Alisha, grabbed one of Alisha's hands and held it, no rejection from his wife. But Alisha remained unmoved, unresponsive to her words or her touch.
"I want to tell you a little bit, before explaining this misunderstanding," Adnan's remark suddenly made Alisha shift her focus and fix herself with a wrinkled forehead.
"Listen to my story first, after that you can protest or whatever, want to be angry also I do not matter," Adnan first spoke before Alisha launched a protest.
Without waiting for approval from Alisha, Adnan began to tell me something, "As I told him before, what my life was like before in the orphanage and after in the orphanage, but there's a part I've never told you,"
Alisha silently listened, waiting for the continuation of her husband's speech.
"Before meeting Angkasa and coming with him, I often come to this place because I think here the most comfortable place to be alone, besides not many who visit here is also cool, cool, unlike now there are many visitors, especially after this park was renovated," Adnan looked around, it was very different atmosphere in this place now.
"Formerly, after school I always stop by here, sometimes just hanging out while enjoying the beautiful atmosphere of this place, sometimes also doing assignments from school, all I do alone without any friends. But, my calm was suddenly disturbed, when one day a little girl came without excuse, initially shy but finally shameless," Adnan smiled at how adorable the little girl was.
Alisha looked away, recalling her memories with someone in this place. But she did not think at all if what her husband told her was him.
"At first I was upset, but over time it was funny too, especially when he always gave me food and food to eat, spent all his provisions, forced me to eat everything and it was not free, he said, because after eating I had to listen to him tell me a long story, ranging from telling his brother to his friends at school,"
Alisha's chest suddenly shook violently, but she was not sure what she thought of the little girl, choosing to return to Adnan's story without asking or protesting.
"We even had time to capture the moment here, before I left, because after that I followed Mother to Bandung," implied disappointment in the eyes of Adnan, "I even often come to this place, "I even often come to this place, after I returned to Jakarta, but never once met the girl, maybe because I only have old photos and it is not clear what she is now, must have changed," Adnan suddenly grabbed the wallet in his pants pocket. Taking a piece of the photo, just about to hand the photo to Alisha, his wife first hugged him, shedding tears. I don't know why, it makes him panic.
"Why are you crying? Did I say something hurt you?" asked Adnan confused, he returned Alisha's embrace.
Alisha shook her head, "I was crying happily," she said, releasing her arms, looking at her husband's meaningful eyes. Then re-embraced Adnan, making her husband even more confused.
"You know Mas? If it turns out that destiny has united us for a long time," said Alisha, now she looks back at her husband's eyes, smiling sweetly at Adnan who looks confused.
"Without showing the photo, I know where the little girl is now, she misses you too, hoping to meet her little prince" he added.
Adnan was surprised to hear Alisha say, "Where is the girl now? Do you know him? I would love to meet him" said Adnan, "Don't misunderstand me first" he said again when he found Alisha with a gloomy face.
"Seriously you don't know the girl Mas?" alisha asked as she shook her head, "This is beyond perishing. Very bad, to not recognize his own wife," he added while pursing his lips.
Adnan was surprised, "I mean?" ask her to be more convincing what she hears.
Alisha nodded, smiling meaningfully. After that it is now Adnan's turn to embrace himself tightly, peeking at the top of his head many times, until his hair is messy. Then switch to peeling all over his face without exception, he became embarrassed himself because it became the spectacle material of the people around them including children in red white uniforms.
"Udah Mas, ashamed to know. Look, the little ones are watching too" Alisha tries to break away.
Adnan also stopped his activities, "Let's go home, tell me everything at home," he said as he grabbed Alisha's hand.
