First Night

Tests..

I scream in shock. The drizzle woke me up. I turned to the left, the bonfire that Mas Rimba ignited is dead. Then I turned my face to the right.

Oh God.

Mas Rimba shivered in the cold.

"The Jungle!!" My screams call his name.

The man flinched. With a moaning sound coming out from his lips.

"Mas Jungle. Please wake up!!" Pekiku panic. My eyes are already glazed. What happened to Mas Rimba?

What am I supposed to do now?

I saw a dry spot protected by trees.

"The Jungle!! Let's get up first. We need to move quickly to that tree over there." I pulled out Mas Rimba's hand until he sat down.

Thank goodness he was conscious. Although I know, the man is still shivering. I hope it's not hypothermia.

Mas Rimba put his hand on my shoulder and then with all my might I dragged the body of Mas Rimba to the drier area that I had seen because it was shaded by lush trees.

After Mas Rimba leaned against a tree. I ran to get the stuff we found.

Mas Rimba looked at me with a worried look.

"I'm sorry I took your shit."

"Don't think of it first Mas, the important thing is we have to think about how to keep Mas Rimba alive." I said with a serious look. Especially after I observed, Mas Rimba's lips were already quivering and blue.

"To-long help me undress."

I widen my eyes. Why take off my shirt? I frowned not understanding Mas Rimba's request.

"My body is wet."

Ah. it turns out so. Now I'm starting to understand. Wet clothes will make people who are cold worse.

Deftly, I helped Mas Rimba pull his black shirt over the head.

"Now, you too." Mas Rimba pointed at the blue sweater I was wearing.

"Nonone. I'm cold too, Mom." I crossed my arms in front of my chest in disagreement.

Anyway, the clothes are wet there. Why make sure other people undress too?

Her pale face made me unbearable. I finally opened the only layer attached to my body. Because I did not wear miniset because it was wet, my upper body was immediately plastered in front of Mas Rimba's face.

Ouch. It feels so shameful.

"Mas, I'm ashamed."

Without responding to my words, Mas Rimba had already grabbed me to sit on his lap.

The 35-year-old man who is also my best friend's brother hugged me very tightly. My blood rippled as I felt our skin coming into direct contact. This was the first time I had ever been close to a guy like this. But it's an emergency. I shouldn't have thought of anything else.

Mas Rimba's hand stroked my back up below. It creates a feeling of warmth that I have never felt before. Maybe this is what Mas Rimba needs to get back warm.

"Have you gone, my dear?" I asked while keeping my face away. Since then Mas Rimba rubbed his face on my chest.

"Hm. That's fine." He answered briefly, then tightened our arms back. I can only resign myself to being a human blanket for this one man.

I wonder what time it is. Really, I hope the sun comes up soon, so we're out of this awkward situation. And I hope Mas Rimba is not cold anymore. Unknowingly my tears melted. I can't imagine our lives going forward if we keep getting stranded here.

"The sun has risen." A whisper tickled my ear.

"Hoam..." I yawned wide.

"Well, sleep." Mas Rimba smiled tilted towards me which I replied with a snort.

"Who was I to sleep less last night?"

"My fault." Mas Rimba said kalem. Ugh... Could make me come here.

"Thank you one more time. You've saved my life twice." Rimba kissed the back of my hand unexpectedly. Geez mas.. early in the morning why has made the heart of a girl want to explode gini anyway?

"What the hell, we should help each other. We're just the two of us. I don't want Mas Rimba to leave me alone here." I replied without daring to look into his eyes. Last night was a traumatic experience after the plane crash. I'm really worried something's going on with Mas Rimba.

"Thank you, Vi." Mas Rimba embraced me gently. Oh yes last night Mas Rimba immediately told me to get back dressed when his consciousness had returned. And the man also quickly searched the branches of the tree and made a bonfire once again.

Mas Rimba gave a faint smile to me.

The kind of smile I'd never get before the accident.

I smiled back and leaned my head on Mas Rimba's shoulder while watching the golden light slowly rise.

We finally got warm.
