Be marooned

Be marooned
A Nightmare's

Blurbs:

Violet did not expect the study tour trip to Australia which she was very much looking forward to ended in disaster. The plane they were traveling on lost contact and crashed in the waters of Papua. Fortunately Violet survived even though she had to be stranded with Mas Rimba, her best friend's brother who was still single at the age of 35 years.

How did Violet and Rimba survive on this island out of nowhere?

Part 1: A Newsletter

“VIO!! Wake up!” Half conscious I woke up from sleep. My ears caught the panicked sounds that made me instantly open my eyes. My best friend Aurora took my hand and her sister was strong. I can feel his palms already wet with sweat.

“It looks like this plane is going down, Vi.” Aurora looked at me with tears already flowing. Coinciding with that, I felt the fuselage we were riding suddenly swooping down over the waters. I'm guessing the pilot's captain is trying to make an emergency landing at sea. Unfortunately in the fast time left wing, right where my seat was broken and made us all scream in fear because it was directly faced with the high seas.

“Quick wear life vest!” Excruciate. Aurora is awakened by panic. The flight attendants were swiftly helping the passengers at the front and back wearing this yellow safety device.

“Vi..

“Quick change of seat with Mas. You use his vest.” Knowing something was wrong with the safety device of the younger brother, Rimba quickly moved to the middle and gave his vest to the younger brother. Seeing also the side window of Violet had been released immediately made the air hit hard into the plane.

"Sister!!! Aurora's scared!"

"You hold my hand strong."

I don't want to hold my best friend's brother's hand firmly.

"Yes God... Am I going to die today?" I closed my eyes tightly and in a split second I felt the darkness that struck.

My seat and Aurora's brother were blown out of the open sea.

***

"Ungh...." I groan weakly. It felt like my body was crumbling all over.

"Ohuk.." I coughed.

I taste the salt in my tongue. Sea water?

Suddenly the memories of the nightmare hit me again. Yep. I am currently a victim of a plane crash while studying on a tour of Australia.

I forced my eyes open. Glare. The scorching sunlight immediately stung my eyes, making me blind for a moment.

"Sa-kit." My friend tried to sit. Until I realized a human being - exactly a grown man was hugging me tightly.

Oh gosh. Mas Rimba's.

I checked his nose immediately. Warm.

"Thank God." It was a miracle we both managed to survive, especially with a blow so fast that our seats just slipped away. Like my brother's favorite lego game.

Remembering that I panicked. How are my parents and brother now? They must be worried.

Ah. But I can think about that later. For now I have to survive. With Mas Rimba who seems to need immediate help.

I observed the condition of Mas Rimba who was still breathing intermittently through his mouth.

Is he having trouble breathing?

Despite the pain, I am grateful that my body is not lacking. Even with Mas Rimba, my best friend's brother.

I tried to correct Mas Rimba's position to be supine. Then remember the PMR lesson on P3K.

First, make sure the condition of the victim.

I patted Rimba's cheek. Ensuring awareness. His hand moved to grab my hand that was still patting his cheek.

Ah, he's still conscious.

Second, Eh.. What the hell is the second one?

Suddenly I was blank. What next?

Uh, CPR. I see Rimba still having trouble breathing. I have to help.

I straightened the man's head and then raised his chin.

This is okay, am I giving artificial breath?

I stick my mouth with hers. Then start giving him artificial breath.

Mas Rimba's lips are full and supple. It tastes really good.

Gosh darn. My mind. It's an emergency, Violet!!!

It could be thinking of dirty things at this crucial time.

When I was about to give an artificial breath for the fourth time, a large palm held my forehead.

"Enough." Mas Rimba looked at me with a pale look. His condition is worse than mine. Of course, given the time of the accident, he gave Aurora his life vest.

Aw, Aurora. I hope that girl is safe too.

"Huh. huh.. huh.." Mas Rimba regulate his breathing that is still not regular. It seemed like he was still in shock after being tossed about in the ocean for some hours until he ended up stranded on this inexplicably-disputed island. With me. His sister's best friend whom he loved the most. How not, a month before departure he had prepared a ticket to be able to follow his sister study tour for fear of his sister being bullied by guys while away from him. In short, Mas Rimba is siscon. Possessive with his sister.

"We survived?" Mas Rimba mumbled, but I heard it.

"Where's my sister?" Tanya Mas Rimba looked panicked.

I shook my head slowly. Honestly, I think too.

"So we're the only two stranded here?" He seemed to have remembered that it was our seat that was thrown into the sea. We were separated from Aurora and our school troupe.

"Yes, it's just the two of us who are stranded. But we have to survive." I tried to be optimistic, to hide my fears.

Rimba sat up. His big hand grabbed me into his warm embrace.

"We must have survived and returned to Surabaya." Bisik Mas Rimba while outlining his embrace.
