Lies for the Lies

"You've been busy lately, there's no time for me" Anja said. If he's been trying to suppress his feelings for the past week, this time he can't. Anja decided to speak up. As soon as the bell went home, Anja immediately approached Dira to her classroom before the girl left.

One step faster makes Anja can meet with Dira. The girl was shocked by Anja's presence near the classroom door, waiting for the teacher to come out.

"Sorry, Yes. I have extra work, so I'm more busy" replied Dira feeling bad. Actually not all of his words are lies, because indeed Dira now gets additional work. She teaches Mika every day after school to catch up.

Mika also went to school. Almost every day we come in. Inevitably, Josh also ends up attending school every day, though in his heart may hold back his annoyance.

"What work?" urged Anja to pay attention to the look on Dira's face, it looks like the girl does not dare to look at him.

"Teaching les. Yes, Ja, I go first" said Dira carrying her bag and immediately left. Anja's hand catches Dira's wrist which simultaneously stops the girl's steps.

"I'm taking it," he walked beside Dira. The girl's flirting, how's this? If Anja takes her, then Mika?

Every afternoon Mika would wait for him at the intersection of school, away from the direction of the students coming home. They will choose a place to study. Usually the cafe learns. Where children stop to learn and easy to order snacks.

And usually Mika who will take Dira to work in the afternoon. Dira keeps thinking about Mika who must be waiting for him at this time, while walking on Anja's side with a downturn.

At least he had to tell Mika so that the man went straight to the cafe to study, meet there, so that Anja does not suspect.

Well Mika, even though, well, with the situation forced, want to understand the situation of Dira who is still dating Anja. He did not want to make it difficult for Dira to argue that she had to decide on her boyfriend.

"Where are the lessons?" ask Anja in the middle of the trip. He was silent, thinking of the right answer. I could only look at my helmet-covered hair from behind.

"It should be near the house, but he said today he is not tutoring. So, we go straight to work" Dira replied in the end.

He had informed Mika with a message. Saying that today they do not need to go for lessons because they have to replace his friend who repeatedly replaced him yesterday.

The message had not been read by Mika, but Dira was convinced that the message was enough to explain to the man not to wait for her at the study cafe again.

"Udah up," great-grandson Dira slowly, down from the big Anja motorbike. "Thank you for being ushered in" he said curling a smile on his lips that added to the girl's beauty.

"Well done, I'm home. Do not go home late and be careful on the road. When you get home, don't forget to tell me," Anja's message as a parent gives advice to her child before separating.

"Yes, Ja. Thanks much. I'm back there" said Anja patting the man on the shoulder.

Until Anja is no longer visible, only then did Dira enter the cafe as well as the bakery where she worked. His mind continued to be disturbed by Mika's figure. Until this second, Dira's message was not read by the man, whether where he was. Though one day, Dira had seen her heading to the cafeteria with Josh during the second break.

***

"Welcome," greeted Dira kindly to her first customer. An apron dance was already coiled around her waist after Dira changed into a uniform.

"You want to order some vanilla ice cream, right, Mommy?" ask the woman friendly. It seems that his age is not far from Dira.

"Oh, there, Ma'am," Dira replied with a smile and observed his customers. Dira's gaze was instead attracted to the little girl who was beside the woman.

"Dinda wants that message too, Mother," said the little boy pointing to a cup cake shaped bear.

"Yes, I may" he answered smiling gently.

Dira took their orders, despite occasionally stealing glances at the woman's face. Something is strange. Clearly her eyes indicated she had just cried.

They took a seat near the window, in order to see outside, cars and passing people.

"Mother, when do we see Papa again? Why are you mad and gone, Bun?" babbling the boy played Elsa's doll that had been in her arms ever since.

"Later, papa must come," the woman replied smiling again. Before long she opened the bag, watching her phone.

Dira came to deliver the food to see the woman's face was getting more and more lame. Very clear anxiety. Guess what a problem there must be.

"Sir," he said stopping Dira's intention to turn around. Seen the woman approached Dira, a little invite Dira to walk a little further than the little boy.

The four-year-old girl is still playing while enjoying her ice cream.

"Sorry, ma'am, I'm going to the ATM for a minute, can I leave my daughter here?" ask the woman a little nervous.

Dira was a little confused at the woman's request, but in the end nodded as well.

"I won't be long" he said, then returned to his seat.

"Dinda, Mommy go for a while, go to the ATM. You're here first" he said, kissing the top of the boy's head long and full of sadness. Dira, who was there when the woman was saying goodbye to her daughter, could guess the other way around the woman but did not want to question her.

Dira tries to think positive, maybe go away for just a moment.

The girl was very calm, sitting on her stool while looking at Dira. The tail of his eyes continued to follow where Dira was moving. She knew her mother had left her to Dira, and because for two hours the mother had not returned, the only person Dinda trusted to look after her was Dira.

"Would you like some orange juice?" tanya Dira came to Dinda. Ever since looking restlessly at the door, the mother did not come.

A promise that's only a moment, we've been for hours. Where did that woman go? What bad thing happened to the woman so she couldn't go back to the cafe?

Dinda nodded, then Dira thrust out the juice that didn't take long was up. Satisfied, Dinda finally fell asleep on the sofa.

Dinda who felt pity took her sweater and enveloped the small body. Dira's panic grew more pronounced that he was going home from work, but the woman had not yet arrived.

What about this little boy? He could not have left it at the cafe!

"You want to go home? Come on, cave inter," Mika's voice from behind her shoulder made Dira able to smile in relief.
