The Brown Envelope

Four years later,

Both of those tiny eyes were still closed. Chickens, birds, alarms, anything in the world is incapable of waking the boy. Atherio Park still loves his pillow. The success of the Park family is in danger if Atherio continues to fall asleep. Her little face showed a silly expression while sleeping.

The door to his room was knocked. Instead of waking up, Atherio rolled up his entire body with a blanket wherever possible.

The knock on the door again sounded, Atherio had absolutely no intention of waking up.

"Atherio Park's?  You don't want to wake up?" the little girl shouted from outside the room. No other and no it is not Atherina. The door was opened violently, followed by a vexation on Atherina's sweet face.

He looked at his sister who was still wrapped in a blanket. Atherina hurried over to her sister's big bed. He shook Atherio's body brutally but looked ridiculous. "Atherio, it's your first day, right?"

"Five more minutes" said Atherio. Atherina was so upset, she jumped up and threw her body down to crush Atherio. "Ireon!" Atherina banged her head against Atherio's.

"Two more minutes" said Atherio. Atherina started counting while folding one by one her fingers with a funny expression. "Your time is up, wake up!" Atherina pulled the blanket away and Atherio tried to defend it.

"Five more minutes," murmured Atherio. Atherina frowned, "Why is it growing?" Atherina grumbling.

With the rest of her frustration, Atherina uncovers the blanket that locked her sister away. "You're 8 years old, you should have built yourself. Or do you want me to wake you up?" Ask Atherina.

Atherio immediately rose. He knew his father's anger was more terrible than the rage of the masses. "I'm awake, Brother." Atherio immediately put on a bright face. Atherina smiled, "I'm waiting at the dinner table." Atherina patted her sister's round cheek then passed.

"Hurry up!"

After Atherina came out of her room, Atherio yawned widely and entered the bathroom.

Meanwhile, Atherina sat waiting at the dining table. Both of his hands were busy smearing bread with jam. Atherio was ready with his uniform, he sat down next to his brother and would take bread on the plate. But Atherina took her plate from Atherio.

"Wash your hand" asked Atherina. "I took a shower, brother, so my hands are clean." Atherina gave the code not to dispute it. Atherio sighed then obeyed his brother's orders. He washed his hands in the sink.

Atherio sat down next to his sister and showed her palm to Atherina. The girl scanned Atherio's hands carefully then she nodded. They ate breakfast cheerfully.

"Sister, this afternoon I'm going to play football on the field. I need you to watch, it's a class match." Atherina nodded. "Yes, I'll watch." Atherio looked excited.

After breakfast, they both go to the same school with a private driver.

Atherio looked at his older brother who was watching the streets. "Sister, you're not home?" Atherio's questioning caused Atherina's attention to be distracted by him.

"So, dad's in the room." Atherina looked back at the streets. "Wae?" Atherina looked at her sister again. He was waiting for Atherio's answer.

"I heard you're going to Singapore, is that true?" Atherio asked as he looked at Atherina with a look of anxious expectation.

"Emm. yes." Atherina seemed to be hesitant with her own answer. Atherio was surprised, "Yeee!!!" Atherio exclaimed in spirit making Atherina flustered.

"Why are you happy? I thought you'd be sad because I'd be far away." Atherina still looked at Atherio in astonishment. "No father means no coercion." Atherio heaved a sigh of relief while riding on his feet like an adult.

Atherina smiled faintly, "There is still me," Atherina said as she pinched Atherio's cheek. Atherio let out a heavy sigh, "But it's okay, Big Brother won't hit me if he's angry." Atherio smiled sweetly making Atherina's expression cheering.

Lately, Park has been tougher on Atherio. Park will be angry or hit Atherio if he does not comply or break the rules set by Park.

Atherio who is not a submissive child now, he will continue to argue. The more he gets punishment from Park, the more naughty he gets. Atherina should always watch and advise her sister, because Atherio will only understand and will only listen to Atherina's words.

Atherina felt Park was much more ruthless towards Atherio. During Park's time educating Atherina, Park never once hit or scolded Atherina even though Atherina often made unintentional mistakes.

His position is only an adopted child.

Atherio drew his face closer to his dreamy older brother. "Sister?" Atherina nodded and looked. He was shocked because Atherio's face was close to him. Atherina immediately rolled back her face.

Atherio returned to his normal seat. "Sometimes I'm thinking, does that father really love me?" Atherio muttered, but Atherina heard it.

"Of course he loves you, he loves you very much" Atherina said quickly.

If not, he won't take me home. She even told me to swear that I will always protect you with my own life, Atherina built while remembering the memories of 4 years ago.

"If he did, he wouldn't beat me just because I'm telling the truth." Atherio pouted in annoyance. "That's because you're talking too much, Rio." Atherina pinched Atherio's cheek.

"Oh, sick sister!" Atherio pulled his brother's hand from his cheek.

They arrived at the school area. The two brothers soon entered the school. "Sister, this afternoon came to the field, yes." Atherio waved his hand before entering the classroom. Atherina nodded with a smile and waved her hand as well.

Atherina continued her steps towards her class. Atherina's expression looked serious. He brought an envelope from his jacket pocket.

"Atherina, today I will give you an important mission." Park gives A faded brown envelope to Atherina. Atherina received the envelope, behind Atherina was a man whose age was not much different from Carlos.

"Give this envelope to his son Hitoshi Yamamoto" Park said.

"Kenji Yamamoto" murmured Atherina.

"Hitoshi is a yakuza that is quite influential in Japan. He had been working together for quite a while with Mr. Park, but I don't know what made him dare to break the rules of the transaction" the man said.

"Uncle Ji Hoo knew him?" Atherina turned to the man who turned out to be named Ji Hoo.

"Tomorrow afternoon you will be picked up by Ji Hoo near the City Library." Park moved from her seat to Atherina. Park rubbed Atherina's hair gently, "I trust you all."

Park patted Ji Hoo's shoulder then passed.

Atherina's move came to a halt, "This afternoon, I have to leave but Atherio. How'this?" Atherina breathed a heavy sigh.

The school bell rang, Atherina immediately put the envelope in her jacket pocket and entered the classroom.

Hours of lessons begin. The first hour of the day was mathematics. Atherina did not pay attention to the teacher, she noticed a boy sitting on the front bench.

"Miss Park?" Atherina was startled, she immediately paid attention to the blackboard. "Are you watching me?" Ask a Math teacher. Atherina hesitated.

The boy who had noticed Atherina turned around and saw Atherina. Atherina turned to the boy who was now smiling at her.

Atherina saw the boy sitting on the canteen bench alone. He stepped out to approach the boy who was now looking up at Atherina, "Erina?"

Atherina turned her serious expression into the normal expression of a 10-year-old girl. "Hi, can I sit next to you, Kenji?" Ask Atherina kindly.

Kenji nodded, he shifted his seat. Atherina slams her ass next to Kenji.

Silence,

Silence,

Silent.

"Kenji," Atherina looked at Kenji seriously. There was no innocent expression of the girl on her sweet face. Kenji also became serious waiting for Atherina to continue her sentence.

"There's something I want to talk about, it's very important. About something that. secret." Atherina spoke like an adult. He takes a faded brown envelope from his jacket pocket and gives it to Kenji.

Atherio saw his brother coming out of the canteen. He immediately approached Atherina.

"Sister? Brother Nana?" Feeling her name on the call, Atherina stopped her steps and turned her head. Atherio approached his older brother, "Sister? Brother looks serious, is there anything?" ask Atherio.

"Rio, this afternoon Brother will be late, see you later this afternoon." Atherina rubbed Atherio's round cheeks. Atherio has not had time to say his response, Atherina has left Atherio.

"Ah, it must be the father who keeps Brother Nana busy." Atherio grumbled softly.

A black car was parked by the road near the City Library building. Inside is Ji Hoo. Atherina exited the school area, she stopped her steps across the street. His gaze was fixed on Ji Hoo who was inside the black car. The man also looked at her.

Atherina looked left and right, after believing there was no car from either direction, Atherina crossed the road to the car. Atherina got into the car.

"It's been a while, Uncle?" Atherina asked while putting on her seat belt. "No, just a few minutes. Young master Park is home?"

"He's got a football game, the driver's gonna pick him up later in the afternoon."

"We're leaving?" Atherina nodded.

Meanwhile, Atherio and his team warmed up before the start of the match. Sometimes his eyes were fixed on the spectator bench. There were only a few children watching, Atherio was looking for Atherina. He wished his brother was on one of the benches to watch him play ball.

Elsewhere, in an abandoned building, Atherina and Ji Hoo stand behind Hitoshi Yamamoto pleading for Park's forgiveness. Park's confidants stand behind Park.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Park, I promise I won't divulge this." Hitoshi bowed his body. Park points his gun at Hitoshi.

"You lied too much, Mr. Yamamoto." Park growled in annoyance. Hitoshi looked frightened, he shook his head quickly, "You misunderstood, Mr. Park."

"You're not Japanese. Your ID is fake, you are Korean." Park stared intently at the man before her.

Atherina sighed softly. It's going to be a long time, do I still get to see the Atherio game? Atherina looked at her watch. Hitoshi pulls Atherina and holds her hostage by pointing a gun at Atherina's head. Turns out he had a gun and hid it in a suit.

Park's confidants reacted and approached, "Miss Atherina!"

"Don't make any more mistakes" Park threatened.

A few guards would approach, but Hitoshi bluffed, "Don't come any closer! Or I'll kill this kid!" Hitoshi.

On the field, Atherio prepared at the halfway point of the field. The whistle goes, the football game starts. Atherio moved fast and agile.

Meanwhile, Atherina is still being held hostage by Hitoshi. "You're a fool, Mr. Park. It's been years that we've been working together, and it's only today that you know those facts?" Gertak Hitoshi's. Park clenched his hand.

Atherina grunted in annoyance. Hitoshi's attention was on Atherina who was in his grasp at the moment, "What kind of father does he involve his young daughter into this illicit dark business? That savage monster wants to dirty your hands." Hitoshi tries to provoke Atherina.

Atherina snorted in annoyance, quickly, she moved to beat Hitoshi's body which was twice her size. Hitoshi's body slammed hard into the ground quite hard. Atherina pointed a gun at Hitoshi's face. Hitoshi was shocked by what Atherina had done to him just now. Hitoshi looked at his hands that had lost the gun. "Since when?"

Atherina smiled, "Trust me, Mr. Yamamoto, this isn't the first time I've killed people." Atherina's smile turned into horror. Atherina pulled the trigger but nothing happened. Hitoshi attacks Atherina, Atherina goes into hiding.

Park shoots Hitoshi in the back, "Aarrghhh!" Hitoshi fell down.

"How dare you touch Miss Atherina!" Ji Hoo shoots Hitoshi, again Hitoshi grimaces in pain. The sound of gunfire in the abandoned building.

On the field, Atherio seemed focused on dribbling. Someone entered the spectator bench, Atherio's sight was sidetracked. She thinks it's Atherina, but it's not. The ball was successfully captured by the opposing team. Atherio snorted in annoyance.

In the abandoned building, splattered blood stained the dull building. Some of the blood also dirtyed the uniform that Atherina wore. The rancid smell of blood filled the sense of smell of anyone who was there.

Atherina rubbed a little blood on her cheek. There was no look of fear on his face because of the recent incident.

"He didn't even fill his gun with bullets." Ji Hoo took the Hitoshi pistol that Atherina was holding.

"Dad, I have to see Rio, he's in a football game." Atherina shook Park's hand.

"Go home first, make yourself clean." Atherina shook her head, "The match will be over soon, she can be mad at me."

Park took a long breath. "Alright, clean yourself up in the car." Park gave me a box of tissues and a bottle of body cleansing fluid. Atherina. "Thank you, Dad." Atherina is gone.

"Atherina, do you want to go alone?" Ask Park. Atherina's steps came to a halt, she turned around then smiled sweetly in embarrassment. Park's confidants laughed at how cute their Miss was. Ji Hoo also chuckled small. Park turned to his people with a murderous expression. Suddenly everything was silent, including Ji Hoo.

"Ji Hoo, get me my daughter."

"Good, Sir."

Atherio's breathing was breathless, his gaze fixed on the scoreboard. The numbers are 3-2, the opposing team is superior. Team Atherio deliberated on making a strategy to equalize the score.

The whistle reads, Atherio's team takes the position. Atherio's gaze was fixed on the spectator bench. He saw his brother there waving his hands. Both of Atherio's round eyes sparkled, he also waved his hand at Atherina. The girl smiled looking at the cheerful-looking Atherio.

Atherio became excited after seeing the whereabouts of his brother. He dribbled the ball into the opponent's goal. Atherina stood up and took a serious look. Atherio will kick the ball, but the opposing team hit him to fall down. The ball is successfully captured by the opponent.

Atherina clenched her hands, "Isn't that cheating?" Atherina grumbled in annoyance. The ball came in at the Atherio goal, the score being 4-2.

The opposing team that won, Atherio hit the ground, "Ah, shit." Atherio saw a pair of legs in front of him, he poked up, it turned out to be Atherina.

Atherina reached out to him. Atherio received his brother's helping hand, he stood up. "The name is also a game, don't get too dramatic." Atherio gave an upset to his brother.

They both walked out of the field. "You don't want to congratulate your winning friend?" Ask Atherina. Atherio snorted softly, "Tomorrow, all with a bouquet of flowers."

Atherina laughed at the sarcasm of her sister. "Once in a while the main lead has to lose, right?"

"This brother speaks like an adult" Atherio grumbled, holding his hands. Atherina laughed, "I'm 10 years old, I look like I'm a kid, too, but my dad taught me to grow up fast."

"Are you watching a blue movie?"

"You crazy? It's banned!"
