Part 27: Trying to Forget

Since the events in the library, Gideon no longer tried to approach Thalita, the man was afraid of disappointment, because of Thalita's indifference. Gideon's affection for Thalita, made him hurt, every time the girl acted indifferent. Gideon still hopes Thalita behaves as she used to, attentively.

Thalita also actually felt lost, when Gideon moved away, the girl was still hoping, the guy was still struggling to get back close to her. But regret is always too late. Thalita regretted being indifferent to Gideon, and was too late, because Gideon had already walked away.

That afternoon, Thalita walked toward the campus gate. The heat of the weather, made the sweat wet his hair and face. Thalita's hair was thin with sweat, making the girl look cute.

Thalita took shelter at the front stop of the campus to wait for the angkot. Moses didn't pick him up today, the guy was walking to the mall with his girlfriend.

Gideon saw Thalita from a distance. Intentions were about to offer Thalita to go home together, but fear was disappointed when rejected, making Gideon undo his intentions.

Forcibly, Gideon pretended not to see Thalita and just passed by in front of the girl. A tightness in the chest, felt by Gideon, because he had ignored the girl he loved. But, it should be like that, having to get used to no longer caring for Thalita.

Thalita saw, Gideon passing by and ignoring himself, with a mashy heart. But what to say, he is also too prestigious to accept the man and forgive his mistakes. Not noticeably, clear details seeped in the corner of Thalita's eyes, and was immediately rubbed violently by the owner.

Karin was sitting on the porch when Gideon arrived and parked his motorcycle in the garage. The tangled face of the brother, immediately awakened the soul of Karin's prank. With a loud enough sound, Karin played Lily's video of the toktik.

Gideon did not touch his sister, and immediately gawked into the house, Karin tailed behind him. When Gideon opened the refrigerator door to fetch cold water, Karin stood beside her brother.

"What the hell are you, Rin? How come you follow Brother Mulu? Less work, huh?"

"But, Brother Brother! I just want to get my fruit in the fridge. Kayak e delicious lunch-day gini eat fruit rujak."

Gideon snorted in annoyance, then moved his place at the dining table. Opening the food hood and seeing the menu there was not his taste, making the guy even more upset.

"Don't eat, Bang?" asked Karin while sitting at the dinner table.

"No taste. Mama where?"

"So he said he wanted to go to the candidate's house. Maybe to Thalita's house."

"Don't bother, you're upset!"

"How bad? Mama said that. Try this, I video call, yeah."

Karin fiddles with her phone, to make a video call with Thalita. Before long, the girl's face had already filled Karin's phone screen.

"Why, Rin? Kangen, huh?" hello Thalita.

"I'm not, but this creature next to me is missing you. It becomes emotional and wants to get angry. Look noh refrigerator door, abis bit by her because nahan kangen."

Gideon glared at his sister, and was met with a nosy grasp, making Gideon even more upset.

"Tell him, if you don't need to be detained, it will become acne! Btw, tumben your mama here?"

"You're looking for you. My mom could never move on from you. Can I ask you a favor, Tha?"

"Please pinch your HP to my mama, I'd like to talk!"

"OK, wait!"

There was a picture on Thalita's phone swaying, the sign of the owner carrying the phone was walking, approaching the mama who was chatting in the living room.

"Tante, this is Karin he said he wanted to talk to Auntie" Thalita told mama Karin.

"No call to Aunt's cell phone?" asked Mama Karin while receiving Thalita's phone.

"What's up, Rin?"

"This is you know, Ma, the brother does not believe that Mama again nagged Thalita for him," replied Karin with a grin.

"You want Mama, but Thalita refuses."

Mama Karin glanced at Thalita who looked sullen hearing the mother and child's joke, while mama Thalita just smiled.

"Oh yes, Rin. If your brother is home, tell Mama to come here dong! Than Mama should ride ojol."

"Well, I'd really like this brother. Could have had a reason to meet the idol," Karin glanced funny, but made Gideon even more upset.

"Gideon's not home yet, Ma. Still on campus," Gideon reflex said.

"Who was talking, Rin?" ask Mama.

Karin laughed loudly, laughing at her brother's silliness. It could have said it was still on campus, but it was clearly at home.

"Tell your brother, don't laugh, quickly pick up Mama at Thalita's house!"

"OK, Ma. Waiting yes!"

Karin turned off the video link, and glanced funnyly at her brother. Gideon frowned, picking up the Mama would make him meet Thalita, even though he was in the process of forgetting the girl.

"Say Mama, you're sick, you can't pick me up!"

"ill? What pain?"

"It hurts" said Gideon as he moved to his room and locked the door from the inside.

Karin who banged on the door of his brother's room, ignored by the owner. Even Gideon played the music aloud, making Karin stop shouting. The girl had to call her mother, and said her brother could not pick her up.
