Alex The Heir

Alex The Heir
Baby F (Flo and Fio)

Arriving at the hospital, Alex was forced to wait outside the room because he was not allowed to go inside. The first treatment for the twins and also Layla who is in critical condition.

He danced his hair while rubbing his face rough, heaving a heavy sigh and pacing back and forth like an iron.

Alex kept waiting for the doctor to come out of the room, unceasingly peeking at the door glass to confirm Layla's condition, he could not think anything when the brain was out of sync with the mind.

Jimmy's assistant comes to see the leader, walking in haste after taking care of Roy's dead body. He was saddened by the conditions, the enemy attack made his leader look very bad, what an incredible trap.

"Hows it? You've taken care of it?" alex glanced at Jimmy's assistant and turned his eyes back to the door glass, deeply saddened by Layla's critical condition.

He took a step back and sat down on the waiting chair with his face bent. "You know, all this time I've been proud of achievements that are only from grandfather's legacy. Being arrogant and always demeaning to opponents, so many people hate me because of my attitude that is so arrogant, cruel, and cunning. My ambition to be the strongest now is like no longer being exposed, my passion in pursuing him is no longer there. It was all meaningless, I just wanted Layla to go through her critical period." He put all the feelings in his heart.

Jimmy's assistant patted the leader's shoulders softly, he was moved to hear it. "Prophe Don, everything that happens has become the destiny of the Creator."

"But still, my money and power can't trade Layla's critical health. Then what's all that?"

Jimmy's assistant fell silent, he secretly contacted John, David Anderson, and Yudistira and told him about the situation.

How long have they waited for the doctor who never came out, from a distance Alex saw three people from both sides of the family.

"What about my grandson's condition?" Yudistira was very panicked and very worried about her grandson's condition, getting word of him not wearing from Jimmy's assistant.

"It's still a doctor." Answer Assistant Jimmy.

John approaches Alex who looks very messy, while David tries to calm the shocked Yudhishthira.

"What's going on? And where's Roy?" ask John who continues to corner Alex with a series of questions.

"The driver who worked with Yudistira's grandfather was a white hawk mafia informant led by Mike, Antoni Mateo's third remaining son. He framed us and attacked in succession deploying all his troops to kill us knowing there would be no reinforcements considering the signal in the forest was very bad." It was clearly Alex who told him the true events, sighed and let him out slowly. "Roy died saving Layla and got shot, he lost a lot of blood and died."

"Where's body? I have to see it, and I want to thank him for fighting to save my grandson." Sela Yudhishthira.

"I buried the body." Assistant Jimmy said. "Master can see the funeral."

"Hem." Yudistira lowered his head, Roy's sacrifice which made him salute and also amazed. "Why did the doctor take so long to check on Layla?"

"Layla was critically ill after giving birth to her two twin daughters by the roadside."

"Criticism?" Yudistira was in shock and almost fainted, lucky Alex grabbed him. "Why did God test me when I was so often surprised to hear bad news?" it was her crying.

"Don't be bad to think, there must be wisdom that we must learn. Trust God and the doctor who handles Layla." Yudhishthira gave his spirit as the two people before him looked almost desperate.

Before long, the doctor came out and immediately surrounded by the family, they were very worried about Layla's condition.

"What about my grandson's condition?" yudistira asked, hoping that Layla would be okay.

The doctor looked at the family member of the patient while sighing. "Had the patient's condition been very critical, lucky he was quickly rushed to the hospital or his life was in danger. The equipment in the hospital is sophisticated, and the state of the patient has passed the critical period, will soon be aware. Excuse me first!" obviously the doctor went.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief at the good news, especially Alex who went straight into the room. Looking at the pale body lying on top of the gurney, she slowly stroked Layla's hair looking at her lovingly. Holding her clasped hands and tucking them in hope that the woman will come to her senses soon.

Those who are outdoors do not want to disturb and make room for both, assistant Jimmy brought the family to meet the baby twins who were born safe, healthy without any shortcomings.

Slowly Layla opened her eyes, looking at Alex who was shedding tears, she rubbed gently with a smile. "You don't deserve to shed tears" she sighed.

"You finally realize." Alex hugged the woman's body and kissed her face several times, as a sign that she was very happy.

"Where's my daughter?" tanya Layla looked at Alex weakly.

"They're fine, you don't have to worry."

"Alex, please take me to see my baby." Persuade Layla.

"No, your condition just went through a critical period. I'll bring you baby twins!" Alex immediately moved from his seat to grant Layla's wish, only a few steps he saw their grandfathers holding twins.

"You don't have to bother, we've brought him here." Yudishthira smiled because she had two female great-grandchildren.

"Help me!" lirih slowly Layla who wanted to lean, with a swift Alex helped her sit down. "Give them to me, they must be very thirsty." No matter her condition, she only wanted to give the first ASI to her two daughters.

"It looks like we should go." David gestured to Yudishthira and John again gave money to the little family.

"They're so greedy." Chirps Alex is happy.

"You're right."

"Do you have a name for them?" Alex turns his eyes to Layla.

"Not yet, I don't think about it." Layla is not so excited by what they are going through, Roy's death protecting her still lingers in memory.

Alex understands the situation, stroking Layla's head gently and giving her encouragement. "After you're out of the hospital, we'll see Roy."

"Hem."

Layla looked at Alex. "Do you have a name for them?"

"I've been thinking about their names when you're six months pregnant."

"Eh."

"Can I?" eyes sparkling expectantly at Alex's show.

"Of course I can, I didn't prepare his name."

"What if the baby twins, Flora and Fiona are named?"

"Flora and Fiona? That sounds like Flora and Fauna."

"Don't be wrong, it has meaning. Flora means blooming or growing, and Fiona means white and beautiful. You can call them Flo for the first child and Fio for the second." Obviously Alex is excited.

"Hem well, the name is not too bad either. But who's her brother?"

"His brother has a mole behind his back."

While Layla beards her head, they seem like a happy family. But no one knows who the real father of the two babies is.

Layla notices Alex's very messy appearance, bare-chested and accidentally sees a nail mark stuck on the man's back.

"I'm sorry for bothering you, and also the nail marks on your back. It must have hurt a lot, but it wasn't my fault entirely, because back then I didn't realize what I had done." Layla said a little regretfully.

"Just nail polish doesn't have to blame you, I should apologize to you for not being able to do anything, my brain suddenly blanked. At that time I was very panicked by the situation that occurred especially there was no experience of childbirth that I learned from Uncle John." Alex is so ashamed that if he does not make the sacrifice of Roy, even the man risks his life to save Layla's life.

Alex can't stem his feelings when the expression of love on the way to the hospital is real, a little doubt in the heart.

"If you want to say something, just say it!"

"I didn't know and didn't realize how I felt about you, when I saw your body faint and helpless I was afraid of losing you. I love you, Layla."

Layla is speechless to hear Alex's love statement she feels the same way, where she also loves the man. But the situation is very different from the identity of the two babies and it is not clear whether it is the man next to him or Roy who has died.

"Do you love me too?"

"I can't give you the answer for now, give me time."

Suddenly the atmosphere became silent, both Alex and Laila were only in their respective minds about such a complicated feeling.

"But when are you going to give me an answer?"

"After DNA testing."

"I'm pretty sure Flo and Fio are my daughters."

"But I need certainty."

After giving enough breast milk, he asked Alex to put the twins to a special baby bed that had been provided there.

Yudishthira, David, and John entered the room, looking at the sleeping baby F.

"Have you given the twins a name?" asked the excited David, he also expected what Alex would want if the twins were her great-grandchildren.

"Alex has given his name, Flora and Fiona."

"Eh, why does the name sound flora and fauna? Are my great-grandchildren plants and animals?" chirps Yudistira frowned.

"But I like that name Cake, we can call Flo and Fio."

"It's up to you to be healthy." Pasrah Yudhishthira.

Alex has been very happy since the birth of baby Flo and baby Fio, which has had a very good impact on him. He who was known to be a workaholic, now reduced his working time and willingly went back and forth to the residence of Yudishthira.

"What about baby F?" ask Alex excitedly.

"They fell asleep after drinking ASI, please don't bother me with waking them up. You won't know how every night I stay up." Layla.

Alex notices Layla's eyes like panda's, she feels pity and stops her intention to meet and wake the twins.

"I'm sorry I don't know anything." Sorry say.
