Chapter 5

Al entered a bar called Bluegrass Bar & Grill in Epicentrum, Kuningan. As usual, he was the first to arrive. He took a seat in the corner of the room, then quickly typed a message in the group chat containing Boris, Rene and Aseng.

Al :

@Boris @Rene your office is both in Sudirman, but could it be too late to come to Kuningan?!

@Aseng Lo again! Have thousands of employees, do not need to be late because cook bakmi again.

Shortly after, a reply message from Aseng came in. A photo of a woman paying for groceries at an expensive outlet, in Plaza Indonesia.

Aseng : Bentar boss, again be okay bini first let be taken away tonight.

Al only sent the emoji of one of the animals to Aseng. His best friend is indeed the most successful businessman he has ever known. Opens many stores throughout Indonesia. Smart trading is indeed one of the advantages of his race.

Then, a message from Rene also came in.

Rene: Wait for Boris to pick up.

Al complained again.

Boris, the number one love slave, does not allow Rene, his girlfriend, to go anywhere without him to deliver. Looks like Batak nan Sangar who always managed to help him defend clients in the trial, so it looks geeky if he was with Rene. It is a real example of the sentence ‘masturbation of thugs, heart hello kitty’.

While Rene, the only woman in this gang, is the pure Javanese who is always polite, he said. So, Boris's fangs turn into rabbit teeth when talking to Rene.

The four of them have been best friends since High School. Always there for each other. If one encountered a problem, it only took one sentence in the whatsapp group to gather them all.

Al : Rene's boss makes me almost crazy!

Finally, they agreed to gather in this place, one of their favorite places.

“Excuse me, Mas. This is his menu book.” A waitress came to Al. He refused the menu book.

“Nevent gone, Mas. I'd like to order Bailey’s aja.”

“Glass?”

Al nodded.

“Good. Waiting yes, Mas.” The waitress disappeared immediately.

Soon, Al's order had landed perfectly on his desk. He took a sip of the alcoholic drink, which burned a bit of his throat.

“Heeey!” Someone patted his shoulder.

Al was shocked, he did not recognize the voice. Then, he turned to the origin of the sound. As soon as he saw Al, the owner of the voice immediately realized he had made a mistake. She is an ayu woman who looks to be in her late twenties.

“Eh?! Sorry, I was wrong." The woman immediately nodded. A red tinge immediately spread on his cheeks.

“Nothing,” replied Al, sober.

“Sorry once again.” He apologized again, then immediately went to a table not far from where Al was sitting.

Al was again busy with his smart phone, while the woman was watching him secretly. He was embarrassed, but also interested, at the same time. It is a sight that is hard to ignore.

Half an hour waiting alone, Boris and Rene finally came.

"Messenger first." Boris handed the menu book to Rene. Eventually, he turned to Al.

"Well, Babe?" Boris poked Al's chin, whose face had been perfectly bent.

Al directly slapped Boris' hand, then glanced at the surroundings.

"Because of the behavior of the centil lo who I believe this is why I was hit by bad gossip!"

Boris laughed, "Emang why else would you be the same bokap?"

"Diapah to ask for marriage. This time, though, it's an extreme way. Ask Rene."

"How extreme are you, Yang?" Boris turned to his girlfriend.

Rene, who was still busy mentioning their order to the waiter, immediately looked annoyed half to death because of Boris's interjection, "Don't bother first, okay? You want to buy food, right?"

"Well, I got to scold." Boris pretended to complain, but was smiling.

Al could only roll his eyeballs looking at the scene just now. This is the behavior of others that he cannot understand. Being a slave of love is really the last thing he wants on this earth. How could anyone scold their partner, but instead smile silly like this Boris? How humiliating!

He also grumbled at Boris, "Lo tuh fake Batak huh?"

"Racist you, Babe," Boris again.

Boris laughs.

"Seriously, seriously! Why else would you be the same?"

"Bonded for my appointment just because I didn't want to get married!"

"Well?!"

"And he was my deputy from my own room. Now I'm just given a little cubicle in the middle of another employee. It's crazy!"

"You crazy too! Haha." Boris laughs.

"No playing!!!" Al grumbled in annoyance.

That's when Rene refocused on Al and Boris. He had finished mentioning the order to the waitress, and was now able to focus his attention again on the two of them.

"Oh yes, I met you earlier" said Rene.

"Continue?"

"Say, all this is a lesson to you."

Al growling. Boris patted his shoulder.

"But how could it be, suddenly so serious?! Try telling me from the beginning why are you so angry?" Rene tried to understand the reason all this happened.

Al jumpy. A little worried about whether to explain the real reason to his two best friends. However, in the end, to them alone, he could reveal the entire burden of his mind. So, he chose to be honest.

"Well, bokap denger gossip out there..."

Rene and Boris are waiting.

Al scratched his head tightly, it felt like the word was stuck in his throat.

"Geez! What, woyyyy?!" Boris scolded, impatiently.

"WHATAAA???" Rene widened his eyes.

"HUH?! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Boris as usual, was startled, laughing for a long time as well.

"Lo tuh really yaaaaa..." Al grimaced at Boris's behavior.

"Sorry, sorry. But that oath is absurd." Boris held onto his stomach which was hurting.

"Well, you're not wrong. You never once seemed to be a goo to any girl Al. If I'm a bokap lo, I've long suspected."

"HEY!"

Rene laughing.

"The two of you didn't help me!" Al complained. He put his head on the table.

"Lo really want me to help you?!" Boris's eyes twinkled.

"What help?" Al asked lazily. He knew that Boris' idea never made sense.

"Follow me." Boris suddenly stood up.

"Well?!"

"Udah, come with me!" Boris walked over. Al would not have to obey his orders.

In a sitcom comedy called How I Met Your Mother, Ted, the main character, has a wing man, named Barney, who always helps him approach women at the bar. How Barney's cada helped him, was by doing a game called : Have You Ever Met Ted? (Have You Met Ted?).

He would pat Ted's shoulder, and then, pointing at Ted, he would ask the woman, have you ever met Ted?

Well, Boris was obsessed with being a good wingman to his best friend, like Barney. Darling Aseng is married, while Al may not be dating any human.

And this is the right time to fulfill his wish. He came to a woman who was sitting not far from them, but her eyes were fixed on Al.

He patted her on the shoulder, pointed at Al, and asked, "Have you met Al yet?"

The woman looked at Al. He looked back. That was the woman who greeted him wrongly!

The woman smiled, "Udah just now..."

What possessed Al at the time. Suddenly he got a push from his heart. Unlike the previous nights, this time Al thrust out his right hand, then said, "Hello, whose name are you?"
