Graduation Day

"Dad." Silvi poked her head out to peek at Brian inside Brian's room.

"Hm." Answer Brian Briefly.

Silvi looked at her father disappointed. This is not Brian's nature. Brian usually greeted her with a warm look with lips that showed a row of white teeth. But now it's different.

"Can I come in?"

"What do you want to say?"

Silvi finally steps into Brian's room even though Brian hasn't allowed it yet.

"What's my fault? Just because I refused to practice martial arts dad doesn't love me anymore? I've done well. Look, I now have a yellow belt." Silvi looked at her father with teary eyes while showing the belt she got from Alando.

Brian who saw Silvi almost crying, just hugged his daughter. Silvi's tears drenched her cheeks. Brian quickly wiped away Silvi's tears.

"Hey. Don't cry." Brian was struck by Silvi's tears that he hadn't seen again in 10 years.

The last time Silvi cried because her mother died and since then Silvi promised Brian she would never cry for her mother again. Because her mother would also cry if it was the reason Silvi was crying.

"Dad's not mad at you. I just want you to be able to protect yourself. And I'm glad you could get the yellow belt in such a short time."

Brian's loud cough let go of Silvi's embrace to him. Brian coughs many times and long enough, until Brian chooses to leave Silvi to the bathroom.

Silvi stared at the closed bathroom door. Worry began to run deep within him.

A few minutes later, Brian just came out of the bathroom with a face that he deliberately made wet.

Silvi approached her father.

"Is dad sick? We should see a doctor."

"Yes. You look. Your burly father is now sick. So you have to protect me." Brian smiled a little.

"Dad, is this why you asked me to practice?"

"Yes. Of course."

"Is dad sick bad?" the clear crystal back wet Silvi's cheeks.

"Hey." Brian wiped Silvi's tears. "Not bad. The doctor said I should rest. That's all."

"Dad lied."

"Yes. Really." said Brian while peeping his daughter's forehead.

Brian chuckled at Silvi's vexed look.

"Hm. I'll do it for you."

"That's dad's new daughter. Oh yeah, tomorrow is your graduation announcement. Are you ready?"

"Who what? Graduated with the highest grades and got a scholarship offer?" Silvi chuckled and was similarly replied by her father.

"Hey. Look at Ranita, whose nature is this?" Brian saw a picture of his late wife on the wall of his room.

"It's mom's nature." Silvi looked at her mother's photo.

"No. That's your mother's nature."

"Daddy dare to blame my mother?"

"Hey Brian. You dare blame my wife?" Said Brian with glaring eyes.

Both laughed happily. Silvi raised her hand and closed her eyes, then began to chant a prayer in her heart. Brian smiled as he stroked his daughter's head. Brian knew Silvi was missing her mother.

After praying, Silvi hugged her father. "Dad doesn't miss mom."

"always. Every time, I miss your mother."

"Of course not."

"Dad forgot mother said. When..."

"Stop. I never forgot your mother's message. My prayers are always with your mother."

"Hm. Daddyh. What's Rabella doing?"

"Eh? You missed her?"

"Hm. A tad. Silvi showed her little finger. "I thought her retirement was over."

"Rabella's taking care of something. I don't know when he'll be back."

The next day, at Candrawan High School had stood all the students waiting for the graduation announcement to be read out. There even attended by the students.

Robert Candrawan announces 100% graduation for the year. After congratulating all 3rd graders, the Headmaster announced the best students of the year. Justin was ranked third, Tono was ranked second and Silvi was ranked first.

After awarding the Cup and Medal for all three. Silvi is welcome to thank her as the number 1 student of the year.

"Thank you to God Almighty for giving me the position of being the best student at the end of my status as a student. Thank you to Silvi Selvig who has tried so hard and survived because you succeeded."

Silvi gave a small smile and got the same smile from all the audience.

"Thank you to my mother, Ranita Selvig who was my biggest motivation."

Silvi was silent for a moment with her eyes closed. Brian, Lania and Tono know that Silvi is missing her mother. Then Silvi opened her eyes and continued her thanks.

"Thank you to my father, Brian Selvig for all the affection, being a super mom and dad to me. My best friend, Lania Candrawan and Tono Renald. Candrawan High School, Principal, Teacher as well as Staff and friends all. Thank you." Thank you."

A loud applause ended Silvi's thanks. Silvi got off the pulpit and headed towards her father and hugged Brian tightly. Silvi gets some congratulations and gifts from the teachers who love her.

"Hey the champion. So, where are you going to college?" Speak Lithuania.

Lania, Tono and Silvi are now sitting in their classrooms, on their respective benches for the last time. While all the students were busy celebrating their graduation, the three were enjoying the quiet atmosphere in the classroom. This is a Lithuanian idea.

"I wonder which scholarship did you choose?" Connect Tono. Because Silvi gets many domestic scholarship offers.

"Did you forget? Silvi wants to go to L. A." The words of Lania made Tono aware.

"I still have 1 mission before college."

"You want to be a Taekwondo expert. Are you sane?" Tono was a little screaming.

"Very sane. That was my father's first request."

All three silent.

"OKAY. Forget me. What about you guys?"

"I'm going to college in Bandung. I'm not as smart as you guys to compete abroad." Said the excited Lania.

"I'm going to London. On vacation, I got a college that suits my taste."

"Yes. I prefer that one. You have to work hard. My taste is different from others."
