"This is what Ma?" Kirana stared confusedly with her blue medium-sized suitcase being parallel to the same-sized suitcase her mother was in the guest room without her permission. He who looked exhausted from a day struggling with lectures and a feeling of heartbreak that he tried not to look by giving a fake smile and force on his lips, he said, being inexhaustible what was in the mind of his beloved mother prepared all that. Come on, don't let your silly idea make things worse...
"Preparation to go tomorrow, son," Rea answered casually as she typed the script of her novel on the laptop she placed on her lap.
"Where are we going, Ma?" Kirana let out a long sigh and placed the brown backpack she carried on the family room table then headed for the toilet to wash her hands and feet. With his current mood taking time to be alone, it felt too imposing if he had to travel far away as if fleeing.
"Something you'll definitely like!" Rea answered while raising the thumb of his right hand without allowing his body that was sitting casually on the family room sofa.
"I don't have much free time Ma, I just want to calm myself down and not go anywhere this weekend," Kirana approached Rea and sat down next to her. Not forgetting that he kissed her right palm and was reciprocated with a warm kiss by Rea on Kirana's forehead.
"It's precisely because Mama's weekend wants to take you out, so there's no time to lock up and mourn that sad and heartbroken you" Rea continued.
"Mama won't understand how I feel right now" Kirana's eyes became pushy and she tried half-dead to hold back her tears from falling down her cheeks every time she touched on her parting from Akio. The days are no longer the same, the steps become heavy in undergoing all his activities. Damnit damnit! He never thought that having a broken heart felt this bad. He is famous for being tough and strong even though breaking up with his ex-girls used to finally feel what they felt when they broke up from him. He did not expect to fall in love so undermined not only his pride but also his heart. Seeing the affection that was always shown by his parents, he was sure he both lived their complicated romance by sticking to strengthen each other. How envious he was when reading one of his novels that tells about their love story and his Papa's struggle to get the blessing of his Grandpa and Grandma in Indonesia. If only Akio had done the same. Ah, it felt like wishful thinking when Akio easily let go of the relationship that the man had struggled with to open his heart. Kirana feels like the dumbest person in the world to realize how easy it is to give up her heart so she does not expect to get hurt. The man attaches more importance to his self-esteem and a ridiculous promise to Daichi to stay away from him just for the so-called friendship reason than to maintain their relationship. Every time imagining the facial expression and speech of the word 'broken' Akio uttered as if what they lived was just a mere fantasy making his chest pain like being stabbed in pain. He patted his chest to ease the pain.
Rea who could not bear, then pulled the head of his son to lean on his shoulders. "Have, if you want to cry, cry..., rather than you hold on and even more hurt your heart?"
"Ma..," Kirana hugged Rea tightly and began to cry loudly to vent her emotions that she had been enduring for a week. He is tired of crying, but this heart does not want to synchronize harmoniously with his logic to accept the fact that everything is over, that his dream that he began to knit with Akio could not be accomplished because of the cowardly attitude of the man. He only hopes that this will be his last cry so that he can refocus to reach his goals that he is so proud to be a doctor. He only hoped that everything would return to normal as it was when he did not know the young man. He just hopes...
"Yes, let's just say this is the beginning of the happiness you will embrace in the future," Rea gently rubbed the hair that was in line with hers. “Satisfy your tears today and tomorrow we will have fun..”.
“Um...,” Angguk Kirana in her tears and embrace Rea tighter and spill all the flavors that burst her chest.
Without Rea and Kirana realizing their every move was monitored by CCTV cameras connected to computer screens on Daichi's desk. Let's say he's crazy for spying on Kirana's every move.
