A Flavor to Love

A Flavor to Love

"I'm home..."

"Welcome, Daichi-nii!!" Kirana immediately hugged her beloved sister to welcome Daichi's arrival.

"Well, you're spoiled like this? There's gotta be something she wants, right?" Daichi ruffled Kirana's hair.

"Aren't I supposed to be spoiled with my own brother?" Kirana pursed her lips. "I haven't had dinner together in a long time with Daichi-nii, we both have it despite living one roof but it really isn't like one roof. Fate blood type B, apathy with each other because busy with their respective affairs."

"You know for yourself, what my busy life is like." Daichi loosened his tie and sat down on the sofa. Kirana followed while offering their favorite orange juice. "Thank you."

"Ne, Daichi-nii, is it not hard being CEO?" Kirana asked timidly.

"Tumben once did you ask that?" Daichi raised his eyebrows next to his sister's slightly overcast face.

"It's okay just that, I feel like I'm the most selfish person in this family.." Kirana let out a heavy sigh. His eyes glanced at the outside window that showed Tokyo Tower filled with light at night. The weather was pretty clear today and there was no sign of rain. "All my actions have always made this whole family worried. Especially since the fatal accident that almost took my life made Mama almost become an ungodly child for scolding Grandpa and Grandma who he thought could not take care of me if Papa did not try to prevent it." His face looked down with his eyes glazed over. "More Luna reminded me earlier not to add your burden to me..."

"Luna talks like that?" Daichi was a little surprised.

"Don't misunderstand, sister, it's a sign that Luna cares and loves you," Kirana immediately straightened out her words. He does not want this misunderstanding to make the relationship between his brother and his best friend is problematic. Seeing them together made her heart happy. "I've been friends with him for over four years and have never seen him so seriously talk about the opposite sex. You're great at conquering the ice princess given the trauma of her selfish father."

"I didn't expect him to be your best friend you've been telling me about" Daichi raised both his legs on the table and leaned his back against the sofa to relax his position. "You know, I'm kind of karmic because I've been a playboy all along."

"From the beginning I wondered what made Daichi-nii behave like that?" Kirana's sadness gradually disappeared changing into curiosity. "Did any woman hurt you to make you that way, sister?"

"Well, it's more or less like that," Daichi smiled wryly recalling the incident. "The woman knew from the beginning that I was the eldest child and heir of Matsumoto Group but she pretended not to know and used me to be able to raise her prestige because she managed to conquer me so well...you can conclude for yourself, I don't believe any woman approaches me without any purpose." He lifted his shoulders relaxed.

"A childish excuse," Kirana smiled slightly mockingly when she heard the reply from Daichi.

"Finally you smile back.." Daichi ruffled Kirana's hair and pressed his kennel against Kirana's forehead reassuring the sister. "Don't be sad anymore, I make sure that I really like my job now my sister. If Papa and Mama knew these conditions wouldn't rule out they'd invite you to live in Europe together and leave me alone again. We're just two brothers so if there's any problem we should share it with each other..."

"Um..," Kirana lightly patted. For the time being it was better that he did not think of the words from Luna. All he had to do was make everything alright, especially making this beloved brother of his not worry about him.

"Hmm.., what if we had dinner outside," Daichi got up from his seat. "We haven't eaten together in a long time given my terrible busy life plus your schedule doesn't suit me."

"That's a great idea!" Kirana stood up excitedly. "Do we need to take Luna?"

"No need for my dear sister," Daichi grabbed Kirana's little shoulder and pinched her anxious sister's nose. "I want the two of us to have a video call with Papa and Mama."

BRACKET!

The sound of the door opening violently slamming the wall behind him shocked Akio. He immediately set his eyes on the figure who was willing to open the door of his office space.

"Akio's oath, you really suck!" Kazuto protested while walking towards him. He was upset when he learned from his supervisor's lecturer that Akio had completed his scripture. He did not expect that his best friend since infancy with him had managed to step forward before him. They used to be together, studying together, playing together, being jerks together, running away from joint heir status.

"How do you mean?" Akio whose face was originally pouting became a light laugh. What miracle! Akio could laugh like now. Usually, he will pout a lot or smile cynically. What makes it like that.

"You said we were going to graduate together, but what did I see? You cheated on me in advance of the thesis trial and in a matter of hours now you're leaving me alone on the campus." Kazuto threw his body in the front seat of Akio's desk while folding both his hands.

"I want to walk independently without you by my side," Akio glared far away staring at the end of the road he was walking along with Kazuto. "I know you've been too spoiled with your concern for me ever since my parents died that you sacrificed so much for me. But there is something that has made me dare to step out of the shadows of my past..."

Kazuto could see the seriousness on Akio's face. After a long time this time the aura of Akio's face looks so happy. What the hell is going on?

"Have I missed anything important?" Kazuto asked full of probes.

Akio simply raised his right eyebrow in response to Kazuto's question.

"Come on..., have you started playing secrets to me?" Kazuto Whine. "You've become more obedient to your authoritarian grandfather."

"Obviously," Akio shrugged his shoulders and picked up the rubik box that was placed next to his laptop then played it. Kazuto knew very well that with Akio playing his rubik box he was trying to divert something. "So just because of a trivial matter I graduated first from you so you have to bother coming here?"

"About!" Kazuto shouts Akio's head and is responded with a sick ring. "I've got a good Tender but it looks like we have to involve Senpai to get the Tender from this government."

"Why should Senpai be involved?" Akio frowned at the sign he did not like the idea Kazuto had conveyed. Ever since he learned that Daichi had a younger sister, he became anti-business related to Daichi. He is lazy if the Grandpa ends up trying to match himself with his senior brother. Given Daichi's threat not to approach his sister nearly a year ago made him think long enough to do business together. Even though doing business with Daichi is very profitable, it is proven that almost every hotel owned by the Daichi family there are special outlets trademark retail business. You can imagine how much profit his company got from the cooperation. Not yet added to the joint efforts of the three of them that they worked on when they went to college?

Actually he was quite curious about the younger brother of a Daichi Matsumoto. But his curiosity has been lost since his world was sidetracked to an indifferent jutek girl named Kirana Kiseki. Remembering the name of the girl made her longing rise again. He had to meet him to ask his absence for a week.

"Hows it? You interested?" Kazuto asked as he submitted the Tender proposal he discussed. “Don't that mean it could further strengthen the business network of the three of us?"

Akio took a long breath. "I'll think about it later..."

"No, you're really weird!" Kazuto returns in protest and exits Akio's room. "You can talk to me again if your strange nature is gone!"

Akio could only shake his head at Kazuto's sulking action. He again directs his position towards the large window that shows the sparkling lights of Tokyo at night. Had he not been preoccupied with various projects he might have desperately come to the girl today. But never mind, giving him a chance to be alone first is also okay...
