Chapters. 24. Life Lessons

After arriving at the Hospital, Deo immediately invited Serli to meet his family, especially the younger brother who was still lying weak.

Deo's parents told Deo that he could attend Golden School because he got a scholarship, even the scholarship received could be used for other purposes.

The same thing happened to Serli. Deo smiled as his parents told him that. He does not deny it. He thanked the owner of the school even though he had never seen it.

From the story of the Deo family, Serli felt more fortunate than Deo, because his family was in good health, in contrast to Deo who had a sister who suffered from a rare disease.

But despite all that, Deo is a jolly boy, it is simply inconceivable that Deo is going through the bitter journey of life.

From there Serli, thought back. He should not have broken charcoal just because of Chika's treatment of him. Even though the treatment would make her bear the shame.

But at least, the smiles of those he loves will always be etched, and there will be no tears dripping from those he cares about.

Serli took a breath, then he convinced himself that he must continue his education at Golden A&H High School even though he knew it was not as easy as imagined.

After a while passed, Serli finally bid farewell to retreat. He returned to the playground to take care of his heart and mind.

He didn't want his family to know what he was going through this morning. Serli sat down while twirling the pen in his hand.

"May I join ?" airin asked with a smile looking at Serli.

"Airin kau ..." said Serli as he looked at Airin who was standing in front of him in an orange uniform complete with all his equipment.

"May I sit down ?" ask Airin again.

"Of course you can, please sit down!" answer Serli.

"Have you been here since morning ?" airin asked after he sat down next to Serli.

"No, this morning I was resting at the Udin mang place, after which Udin mang drove me home."

"But since there was no one in the house I rested here, then I met Deo who happened to not go to school because his sister was sick."

"I just got out of the hospital and sat here" Serli replied.

"Oh so, now how are you doing so much better ?" ask Airin.

"Yes everything is a little better. Airin don't you feel tired, go home to school straight to work like this ?" ask Serli.

"Everything that we do with our whole heart and full of gratitude will feel lighter than we do it with force."

"I've never been tired of doing this. From this street sweeper there are many things I can get. Experience, learning about life that I never had from school, all I got here."

"Sometimes many people judge this work with one eye, but if we reflect on it not everyone can do it."

"It takes patience and sincerity to do it. Just imagine when our city gets an award for its cleanliness. The ones predicted were the leaders when the ones who made the cleanliness happen to be more of the street sweepers."

"Like Sugar who never complains when he makes tea or coffee water sweet, he never gets angry when the so-called is sweet coffee, or sweet tea instead of sweet Sugar."

"Be assured that Allah is well aware of everything that happens on this earth, even a fallen leaf, with His permission."

"So why should I feel tired in doing a good thing. Because God never sleeps, He will replace everything better in His way." Airin explained with a smile.

"Your air is amazing, besides you are a beautiful girl, you are smart it turns out you also have a broad understanding, so you are wiser than your age" said Serli.

"Don't Serli, if you keep praising me, I can fly high. If you can come back it doesn't matter but if you're not happy try ?"

"You will lose a good friend like me." said Airin by tidying up the ape clothes.

Then the two laughed together, while hitting each other and chasing each other.

"Serli what exactly are you hiding ? why does your face look so depressed. Is it true you just want to rest ?"

"Tomorrow I'll find out from Mang Udin, surely he knows what happened. There's at least a speck of path to find out what made Serli skip school today." Inner Airin while still running.

"Serli is enough, we just sit there while enjoying a glass of ice to quench thirst" said Airin while adjusting his breath.

"But I didn't bring any money" Serli said with his head lowered.

"Didn't I take you ? it means I'll treat you so you don't feel so sad."

"Originally you know, when your face is sad the sky is sad too. Look at that black cloud over there !"

"It will soon fall, if no wind or sun will take it with it" said Airin, drawing Serli's hand.

Serli smiled at Airin. Then he followed Airin.

"Airin aren't you ashamed of being friends with me ?" serli asked as they had sat down on the green grass.

"Why should I be ashamed ? instead you're ashamed not to be friends with me this broomstick ?" ask Airin.

Then Airin ordered two ice creams and some snacks for the two of them.

"For what I should be ashamed is not every work noble. Don't talk about it anymore. I made friends not because of work but because of the kindness of someone" Serli said with a smile staring at Airin.

"Well, it's so dong, it's nice to see. Unlike earlier that face bent a thousand, kuel and ugly tau. Just like you have a lot of problems." said Airin, offering ice cream to Serli.

"I heard Chika was taken by the police, what made her arrested ?" tanya Serli tries to divert Airin so that he does not discuss his sadness.

"Chika proved to be the mastermind behind the burning of our house" Airin replied briefly.

"So your house was burned by Chika ?" serli asked as if he could not believe what he had heard.

Airin just nodded, then he went back to enjoying the ice cream in his hand. Airin did not notice the change in the look on Serli's face when he answered Serli's question
