The brown desert and red velvet became a hot topic this afternoon for the two boys sitting in the passenger seat with their grandmother. Yes, Cinta decided to return to Bogor after meeting Nana who became a hard worker, and tend not to be chatty after the departure of her lover. Of course with two people who were very enthusiastic from morning wanted to accompany him home.
"Tante, is Aunt sure you want to go to the house of Love?" asked the two children, who seemed doubtful.
"A hundred percent sure. Are you the one who doesn't want you to go to your house?"
"It's not so, but the way to Love's house is hard, Tan. Up and down, it's dark."
A small laugh escaped the lips of Laras. "Who do you think we're talking to, son? I have lived and lived in Indonesia before you were adopted by your mother's father. If it's just a matter of dark and up and down streets it's been a mother's daily meal of the young."
"Oma make no mistake, usually if that night there are strange sounds," chirped the Queen with a serious face.
"Oma must be afraid of her. That's wuk, wuk, wuk. Aunt Rumi did not dare to go home if the sound was heard."
"really?"
"Yes, Oma, said the grandmother, her voice was an owl. If anyone passes him his eyes will be like this .. haa ...," said the King with buying eyes while turning his head mimicking the movement of an owl.
Laughter was heard from two women of different ages. The love that sat in front even tilted her body stared at the two adorable boys. He was not aware that someone had occasionally stolen a glance at him and the two boys behind him through the rear view. A smile rose on the lips of the Throne as the warmth of the laughter tickled his heart.
Keep it like this. You have to laugh happily every day. I promise to make up for every second of hardship and sorrow you've spent alone before, my dear.
"Papa, look at the road!" reprimand the son only his way with a ketus.
The throne caught glancing at Love can only swallow her saliva when the attention of the woman beside her is directed at her. That straight path made it easy to take his eyes off once in a while.
"After this the road turns. If you can't focus, let me drive."
"Yes, Mama," answered the Throne obediently like a scorned child.
"I'm not your mother."
"Indeed. My mother's behind you. If you're the mother of my children."
No doubt the relaxed answer of the Throne makes Love throw a sharp look at him. However, just like a few seconds Love turned her face towards the window. He thinned his lips, half-deadly holding a smile that thrashed wanting to expand on his thin lips. His smooth cheeks had even a faint reddish hue. His heart this time felt unsafe, there was a small heartbeat that he had never felt back even while with Rudi.
This is not true. I shouldn't have gotten carried away and fallen into the mouth of this br*hsek man. Love takes a deep breath and exhales slowly. Set his expression to professional mode again.
"Oma, Oma, look! that's grandma's garden!" pekik Ratu while pointing at the expanse of carrot gardens on the hill across the street.
"Grandmother's garden?" Laras raised his eyebrows while looking at his grandson's hand.
"Mas Rudi's Mother, Aunt. We're almost to the village. And in this driveway is Mas Rudi's family estate."
Laras just nodded his head at the explanation of Love. His little heart was slightly intrigued at how vast the estate his granddaughter had pointed to was. It turned out that her ex-daughter-in-law's husband was not an easy opponent when compared to her son's current wealth. But again God's blessing is in his hands. God gives way by calling the husband Love, giving his son the opportunity to ask for forgiveness.
Laras stared fiercely at the Throne that was focusing on driving. Just look if you let me down again, I'll cross your name off the heirs list. Let Gema alone be the main heir to Mother's wealth. The child does not know himself, he could have thrown away the diamond that I have given only to fake agate.
After passing dozens of twists and climbs, finally the Jazz car stopped in a simple white house. The throne looked at the house with a slight frown, then he set his eyes on the monitor screen on the dashboard of the car.
"Is this really his house?" he asked as if he did not believe the information he got from the GPS on the screen.
"really. Let's twins we're down." Love immediately opened her seatbelt and opened the door.
"Yeyy, we go home ... we go home ..." the Queen cheered excitedly jumping out as the door was opened by her mother.
The king casually picked up the chocolates and his sister's doll that was left in the car seat. A smile rose on Love's lips as the King got down from the car while holding on to his hand.
"Tante, let's go in."
Two people who had just descended were still standing in front of the car staring at the white-fenced house.
"Is this your house?" The throne has opened its mouth.
"Yes, is something wrong?"
"The three of you live in a house this small, son?"
"Yes, Aunt. Let's go in. It's cold outside. Magrib soon." Love chose to hold the arm of her former father-in-law. Led Laras into his yard.
Ornamental grass surrounds the yard of the house that is not so thick. Paint dominated by white makes the simple house look more prominent and elegant. Although according to Laras and Throne this house is not so worthy, for Love this house is the most comfortable place for him. Away from the hustle and bustle of the world which is sometimes so painful.
"Assalamualaikum" said the children as Love opened the door and they ran in first.
"There's people at home, Ta?"
"No, Aunt. It's just a kid's habit to say hello when entering the house."
"Mom thinks there are people, because the house is also clean left long ago," said Laras while circulating his views.
"Usually Rumi who likes to come here while Love just left, Tan. He cleans it once a few days."
"Rumi is your neighbor?"
"No. He's Mas Rudi's brother."
Laras smiled faintly hearing the reply of Love. Again the man's family took care of his granddaughter and ex-daughter-in-law. The Throne is behind them. A sad and disappointed look was clearly drawn on his face when Cinta again mentioned the name of the man who had changed his position. He was disappointed in himself for playing no part in the lives of his two children.
They went back inside, stepped into the living room where the children gathered and laid down their bodies. Netra Throne was immediately fixated on the wall on his left side. He stared at the photo with a large size that was neatly attached to the wall. His gaze was so hard to interpret. His chest even seemed to be moving up and down faster. The photo that if he could ask for had never existed in this world, even the most painful sight made his chest rustle.
"Beautiful," muttered the Throne after being satisfied looking at the wedding photo.
If only he hadn't been so stubborn. If only he had cherished the sacred promise made to Love. If he had once wanted to take the time to take a picture of a couple with Love, maybe the photo of the two of them today would be the most valuable item in this world. But regret is only regret. If it had been spoken too much, maybe even he would not have been able to string all the words if it had been overnight.
"Papa, come on toys," the Queen took in her cute voice while pulling the little grey t-shirt that the Throne was wearing.
