Zia's Love Story

Zia's Love Story
Chapter 2 Friends of SD

Bloom...

The sound was very loud and made us all stand staring towards the origin of the sound in the rapids that were close to where we played. We all look at each other.

At once we were silent. There was no movement at all in the rapids. Only the sound of water was heard. The water in the rapids also seemed to be motionless.

“What sound is it?” rian asked, followed by Karin's question, “iya voice pa ya?”

Eko, Taufik, Erna, and I simultaneously shook their heads.

“About what sound huh?” Also ask.

Suddenly a familiar voice came into my ear.

“Hahahaha..., you guys are so funny, just heard a strange sound directly scared.” Kak Khotim said with a laugh and walked towards us from behind a tree.

“Oalah, it was Kak Khotim who surprised us? Make a hanger only.” Erna said while shaking her head.

“Iya niih..iseng really Big Brother,” I also chimed in, and started my brother's talk super chatty.

“You are yes, although today is Sunday you should be able to divide the time. Not just playing. Hot and hot playing in the river. The sun and up. Have you all prayed yet? Have you eaten what yet? Is there PR from school? It was fun playing in the river. It's look! Your feet have been wrinkled over time in the water.” Kak Khotim.

We all fell silent while looking at Kak Khotim. We also simultaneously saw the feet of each of them are still submerged clear river water flow. True also said Brother, our legs look pale and wrinkled.

Not long ago Eko replied while crying, “one-one-time Mbak nanyanya. We are confused which answer?”

“Iya Mbak, but it is also true what Mbak Khotim.” said Sahut Erna's.

Taufik added,” we are also starving. What time is it now Mama?”

“Now it's almost two noon.” Answer Khotim quickly.

“That's it donk, you guys just disturb my sleep. If not Mother who told me I would have been dreaming. It's all coming home!” Kak Khotim's Order.

We all dispersed and walked out of the river area and towards our own salty houses.

While walking behind Kak Khotim I asked, “tadi Kak made a strange sound that surprised us huh?”

Kak Khotim laughed, “hehehehe.... Is it good to be done? You guys bother Brother first. Again engrossed in sleep, I wake up tell him to look for you. Yes, I'm a fad.”

“Walah..turns out Sister Khotim revenge.” Taufik chirps from behind who heard us talk because we were still on the same road.

Arriving at the intersection we went home to each other. Eko, Rian and Erna turn right towards the next hamlet. Taufik and Karin turned left towards their home. Kak Khotim and I went straight to the next intersection and turned left then it was home.

We all live in one of the villages in East Java, precisely the south coast of East Java. Most children in the village attend school in one Elementary School located in this village. My classmate is 15. But what is familiar is only a few. Like me and my five friends.

As time continued to roll, six years on the SD bench passed with full joy and sorrow. We graduated according to our abilities. Most of the friends continued to the Junior High level, the closest was Junior High 1. But I did not continue there because our family chose a madrasa school, although the distance to the house is not a little far. Both my brothers have continued here. Although not a public school but more religious education so that my parents are determined to finish school there.

Finally, since entering school after Elementary school, I and my SD friends rarely meet again because they are busy with their respective affairs. But occasionally we spend mabar (playing together) in one of the friends' houses alternately. Sometimes once a month, even two months we get together. If so, we are busy with our stories.

After three years on the bench of Junior High then it is time we draw knowledge to a further place. There are those in SMK, High School, and I also chose in MAN. The more days of busy learning and other busyness are increasing and we have rarely gathered as before. Even during the Eid, we also cannot gather. Only communicate through electronic media.

Such is life, the young must grow up, the mature will certainly be old too. Life continues on. Until we go to work or college.
