Youth Knight

Youth Knight
I'm a Knight? I

___

I came home early in the afternoon, said goodbye to Mr. Dery and immediately rushed back to my new residence. The trip from the store to my house is now twice as long as before I moved out of the old house.

___

I saw Adry in his yard sitting looking at something. I looked towards what he saw, a pair of birds that might be in love.I just assumed maybe he was thinking of something about a relationship with someone.

Then I greeted him until his focus was split after realizing my existence, then asked about the number of all the pieces of silver coins that were inside the chest, " Have you counted how many silver coins there are?"

His focus was split and responded, "Yes, I've counted them, there are about 2300 more silver coins, I guess yours is the same as mine", 2300 silver coins? That's 38 little gold coins, oh my God, I'm rich!

Then Adry said, "Now that you have become a noble, a knight, you must have armor and weapons to protect the land of our Master. Put on the money Mr. Adipram gave you."

I just got the money, now I have to spend it!?

"How, do you want to look around the armour?", asked Adry.

___

At first I refused, but in the end we both visited a blacksmith, who was an acquaintance of Adry, located not far from the castle.

From the front, the blacksmith's residence looked like an ordinary house, but when Adry took me towards the backyard, it was a small house, I caught a glimpse from outside of a sizable room that was extremely messy and filled with dirt and dust produced by heated coal and dozens of people inside who were at work.

The sound of the roaring flames, accompanied by the hammering, was clearly heard from outside the room.

We looked around at the iron armor that was neatly plastered ready to be used on a row of iron armor shelves. Someone looked at us and asked, "Can I help you?"

Adry looked at me from top to bottom, "It looks like the finished armor doesn't suit you."

" You insulted me?", he said so because of my small, thin body.

"Haha, it's not like that. The armor must fit your body so you can be free when using it. You have to train to increase the mass of each of your muscles, otherwise the weight of the armor will kill you haha"

"Training the body is exhausting and painful", I can't even do all that.

The one who served us said, "Everything emblazoned here is an order from someone, if you want to order something, just ask my boss."

Adry replied, "This much war gear? Then thank you, I'll ask your boss."

___

This was my first experience standing in the study of a blacksmith. As soon as I entered, I was immediately very sultry with the heat coming from the forging ground, but I was also fascinated by the intricate details of the room.

The blacksmith that Adry meant was the owner of this place was an old man of small stature and wrinkled. In spite of all that, he had an incredible experience in his field. His body was filled with soot stains as well as sweat. The movement and energy he displayed was so deft that it was completely incompatible with his age.

He brought something and poured hot molten metal into a mold.

Adry approached him as the old man finished pouring the molten metal, "Hello uncle", the old man glanced at Adry and replied, "Adry, long time no see!", the two shook hands.

Adry dribbled my body to introduce me to the old man, "He's Reza, my friend!"

Then the old man stretched out his hand, inviting me to shake hands, "Call me Kenner, a blacksmith!"

I shook his hand even though it was filled with dusty dirt, "I'm Arezha"

He picked up an iron bar heated with a clamp, "Say what you need?", asked Uncle Kenner.

"This friend of mine needs a pair of armor, can you make it?"

Uncle Kenner forged an iron bar that had been heated using a hammer. Sparks flew about as he made the forging of the iron rod, working on it seriously.

" I am now working on the task Mr. Pier gave me" said Uncle Kenner

Adry replied, "Can you take a little time to make his armor? By the way how many armour did he order?"

I felt sore from standing for too long. Then I looked for a comfortable seat around the room, saw the two of them talking.

Uncle Kenner stopped forging and replied, "It seems that right now the blacksmiths in the entire kingdom are receiving the same task, the Kingdom needs weaponry to fight the Empire", then he re-forge and continue his words, "They want us to make it for the next 5 months"

I forgot about the empire, how long have they been siege on the city of Aldea?

Adry sighed, "Busy is that huh, how many swords and armor did you produce in one day?"

"Our shop produces 12 simple swords every day, and 4 sets of protectors every 3 days" replied Uncle Kenner.

"It seems there is no need to rush. You can make it anytime for my friend later, and then I want to fix my armour"

"I'll tell you again in five months, right now the kingdom is top priority"

"You're right uncle, the Kingdom is a top priority"

I stood up from my seat and approached them, "So I can't buy it now?", which means I don't have to waste my money!

Adry replied, "We can only order for now and wait. You brought money?"

"No"

He took out a bag of coins, "Then use mine first, after all I'm sure you haven't traded the whole silver coin for gold coins" and then he gave the bag to Uncle Kenner.

Uncle Kenner took it and counted it, "It's too much, 20 gold coins is enough", then he returned the rest.

Adry took the rest and said, "In 5 months I'll be back uncle, make the best armor for him"

We both left the place and came back, and on the way Adry said, "You owe me 20 gold coins"

I sighed, "I shouldn't waste money just on armour"

"You need it anyway, because one day we will be needed to fulfill our duty. You'll need that armor and your chances of survival will be higher"

"May they win the war in Aldea, so that we are not needed" I said.

"Yes, hopefully. If the cities of Aldea and Venavo are penetrated, then our last fortress is only two large rivers that separate the kingdom and the empire", Adry responded.
