The Regrets Too Late

Not only the doctors who were ready to wait for Alden's arrival, not long after Alden was taken to the ER room, Daddy Wira accompanied by Reno and Om Juan arrived at the hospital.

“You're okay, Belle ?” ask Daddy Wira when he saw his adopted daughter was sobbing in front of the ER room alone.

“It's okay, Dad. Forgive Belle for making Alden so,”t Annabelle in the middle of her sobs while holding Daddy Wira's fingers.

Annabelle did not dare to throw into Daddy Wira's arms because her shirt and jeans were filled with patches of Alden's blood.

“It's not your fault, Belle. All this was planned by Sarah, only she did not suspect that Alden would be the victim.”

“Sarah ?”

“Yes, your friend and Raka are taking care of this in the police station, so don't blame yourself,” Daddy Wira said as he patted Annabelle's shoulder which made the girl grimace.

“Belle, you must have been hurt too. Let the doctor check on you too,” Daddy Wira frowned while gesturing for Reno to bring Annabelle into the ER room.

Annabelle felt pain in her right knee and arm.

While Annabelle was downstairs to the ER room, Daddy Wira immediately contacted Papa Rano, hear about the incident that happened to Annabelle without telling Alden's condition and ask him to come to the hospital to bring a change of clothes for Annabelle.

Not long two doctors came out and saw Daddy Wira conveying Alden's condition and the actions they must take immediately.

“Do whatever is best for my son,” orders Daddy Wira.

Annabelle who had just changed into hospital clothes saw Alden's body that had been attached various aids immediately approached with a slight limp step.

“How is Doctor doing?”

“Will be operated immediately because there is bleeding in the brain and two ribs cracked.”

“But Alden can still regain consciousness right, Doc ?”

“All depends on God's will, Miss,” The doctor just smiled and ordered his team to immediately push Alden's body towards the operating room.

“Just pray for Mr. Alden,” The doctor touched Annabelle's shoulder to soothe.

It turned out that Annabelle's right knee and calf were slightly injured and bruised as well as her upper arm supporting the asphalt. His eyes were also sprained.

It was impatient to wait for her to be treated and after she was done, Annabelle was not allowed to walk alone but in a wheelchair.

Finally Annabelle relented and assisted by a nurse, she forced her way up to the 2nd floor where the operating room was located.

His tears flowed back when he saw there was already Mommy Lanny crying in the arms of Daddy Wira.

“I'm sorry Belle, Mom. Sorry,” Annabelle said in between her sobs and a face full of regret.

“Darling, all this is not your fault, not your desire to make Alden this way. That wicked woman who can't accept you guys being happy,” Mommy Lanny wiped Annabelle's tears that kept flowing while occasionally stroking the girl's cheeks.

“Then we walked together..”.

“There's no point in wondering, honey. Pray that everything goes well.

“You also have to take care of your health, Belle. The results of the doctor's examination, right leg, knee and arm injuries and should not be used for strenuous activity for several days. Daddy will have one room prepared for you.”

“No need, Dad, let Belle be treated at home only.”

“If you're being cared for at home, it's hard for you to visit Alden. You want for days not to see Alden ?” mommy Lanny said with a meaningful smile.

Mommy Lanny memorized the habits of her adopted daughter who did not want to trouble anyone let alone make Daddy Wira have to pay for her treatment in the hospital.

But on the other hand, Annabelle's presence near Alden would have been a good influence for her son.

“Belle come with you then. Belle did not want to be away from Alden,” finally Annabelle relented after considering Mommy Lanny's words.

While at the police station Sisi looked at Sarah who looked down with a face full of emotion until Raka had to persuade her lover to hold back.

Shortly after the crash, Sarah, who was detained in the campus security room, was taken by police who came with Raka.

Alden's assistant picked up his mistress who became a cab and took Alden's car with a spare key.

The rental car Sarah used to hit Alden was also held up as evidence.

“Sedang underwent surgery. Annabelle also needs to be treated for a few days. His eyes sprained and some parts of his body were bruised. Om Wira asks Annabelle to be hospitalized first.”

“What is Mr Alden's wound severe ?”

“Not yet, Darling. Hope everything is okay and this incident can unite the love of Annabelle and Alden.”

“Iya I really hope so. They change their head hard,” said Sisi with an annoyed face.

Raka laughed softly and rubbed the head of Sisi who ended up leaning on Raka's shoulder. The incident in front of the campus really made Sisi shocked because with his eyes he saw how Alden's body floated and was thrown to fall onto the asphalt.

“How are Alden and Annabelle's conditions?”

Raka and Sisi looked up and found Reyhan standing in front of them.

“Don't tell Mr. Reyhan to come here as the devil's woman's legal advisor,” voice Direct emotional side.

“Honey,” Raka rubs Sisi's shoulders to soothe. “I contacted Mr. Reyhan and informed him of this incident.”

“How are Alden and Annabelle doing?” Reyhan repeated his question regardless of Sisi's gaze not liking his presence.

Raka also told what he had told Sisi.

“Can I have their inpatient room info ?” pinta Reyhan with a pleading face that Raka was carrying.

“I will see Sarah first, not as her legal advisor but as a friend,” Reyhan explained at length when he saw the look on Sisi's face. Raka just nodded.

Reyhan continued to step into the room where Sarah was being held temporarily after police finished making news of the incident.

“Reyhan !” sarah's face immediately sparkled when she saw her ex-lover coming.

“Thank you for coming for me and being my lawyer,” Sarah continued with a fluffy smile.

“I came not as your lawyer but as a friend who will break with you forever.”

“Reyhan,” Sarah looked at him with a disappointed face.

”Now I understand why you hope to escape from the descendants of Amora. Because either your mother, your sister, or even yourself, are just people who find it hard to accept reality when their wishes are not realized. You three are like a curse to my family.”

“I'm not the same as my mom and sister because I can love you as sincerely as my heart,” Sarah denied half yelling.

“If you are different, it will not cross your mind to eliminate Annabelle. I've said more than once that the main cause of my disappointment is the loss of our child-to-be. The women I sleep with are just trophies that make me want to be on par with you.”

“I've never done to another man besides Mr Peter and you !”

“If you really love me, of course you will be patient waiting for my heart to forget your incident with Papa. I told you that Alden and Annabelle supported me to come back to you, not throw you out of my life. But your vindictive nature turns out to be too big. And I thank you for not having to waste your time and energy thinking about the possibility of coming back with you.”

“Rey...” Ogre Sarah.

“Alden and Annabelle are right that I do love you and it is difficult to erase your shadow in my life, unfortunately your love is not as big as I have. Your love is only limited to the mouth because your soul and mind are only filled with hatred and resentment. And now I make sure that your name is really going to be erased from my memory. Thank you for the 5 years we have spent together and hopefully the law will give you justice.”

Reyhan moved out of his chair with a faint smile.

“Rey.”

Sarah's call led Reyhan to close the door.

”Can you open the opportunity once again for me ?” sarah in between her sobs.

“It's too late, Sarah. Very late. Maybe if nothing happens today, we can start everything in a new sheet.”

Reyhan immediately opened the door and ignored Sarah's call, still begging her to stay.

Reyhan took a deep breath and exhaled slowly while smiling bitterly.

At least his worries these few days were finally answered. Getting back to Sarah wasn't the best option. Stop looking for an outlet with the paid women is also not a solution to make his heart calmer.

Reyhan continued to step towards the exit of the police station with a slight feeling of relief. He is determined to reorganize his life, repair his relationship with his father and give happiness to his mother who is almost desperate to move on.

A smile spread across Reyhan's face as his hand lit the car's mess. Losing Sarah certainly creates sadness of its own but that is not an excuse to stop but learn to be more careful going forward.
