Luqman smiled faintly at Clara's silly behavior, then shook his head.
"You're not dreaming, Clara. I'm serious about what I say."
"But Clara's not a good woman." There was a gurgle of sadness on the girl's face when she said it.
"Who said? You're so good in my eyes." Shangkal Luqman.
"Tante agreed with what Luqman said." Mama Firda smiled, and said confidently. It seems that he is so supportive of his only son. Clara's parents throw one another a glance and smile.
"Why isn't it just other women who get that expression? Why is it Clara?"
"Because we're a fool."
Clara raised her face slowly, after she had lowered her head for quite a while. Then he dared to look at the man in front of him. He could see eyes filled with hope.
"I don't want to force you, if you want to ask for time to think it doesn't matter. I'll give you a minute to think, from now on."
"What's? A minute? Why not a week?" Clara Protests.
"It's been too long, everyone's been curious about your answer. So think about it now. Twenty more seconds left."
Everyone held back a laugh, seeing the immortality of the two's behavior. They are sure, if their children have the same feelings, but are timid to express them.
Luqman himself looked at the time on his phone. While Clara's two hands are interlocked and full of cold sweat.
'Am I less attractive, so Clara still needs time to answer?' inner Luqman, and looked at him full of probing.
"Time is five seconds. Papa countdown yes, five, four, three..." Suddenly Mr. Andreas raised his voice, but not finished saying, Clara has interrupted.
"So, this papa can't wait for your answer. When else, have a complete package son-in-law like son Luqman."
"Mama agrees." Imbuh lady Anita.
"Sama, I also agree Sis. And, Clara time's up." Mama Firda chimed in.
Luqman was so happy, everyone seemed to support him. Clara looked more nervous. He tried to relax his mind, taking a few deep breaths, then exhaling slowly.
'O Allah, may my decision be correct. I didn't go wrong.' Her mind was hopeful.
"Clara-Clara..." Clara's voice was stuck in the esophagus, it was hard to get out. Finally he nodded his head while looking down. Even so, it was already the thing that made the entire room cheer happily.
"Oh yes, I want to give you this, as a sign that I'm seriously asking for you." Luqman suddenly remembered the thing he had just bought this morning.
He reached out from his pants pocket and showed it to Clara. Everyone stared at the beautiful glittering little thing.
Mama Firda got up from her seat, then stood beside Clara.
"Clara, if you do want to accept Aunt's son, to be your life partner, then let Auntie put the ring on your ring finger."
Clara looked at Aunt Firda for a moment, then smiled and stood before her. Others also stood up and watched the moment in the morning full of haru.
"One-way the ring." Mama Firda smiled with satisfaction, when she managed to insert the ring into Clara's ring finger. And everyone smiled with satisfaction at that.
"Son Luqman, thank you for giving us such a wonderful surprise. May you be a good husband and lead our daughter down the right path." Mr. Andreas stood up and patted Luqman on the shoulder with a smile.
"God willing, sir. I'll try."
