Choosing Silence

All the way home, there was no conversation between Steve and Riana. Riana seemed to be very angry at what her husband had just done. The atmosphere was so quiet that Alana turned her brain to find a way for her parents to talk, as if they knew they were having a problem.

Suddenly Steve braked the car suddenly. Fortunately, the road seems quiet, so no other vehicles come to a sudden stop and will cause a traffic accident. Instantly, Riana and Alana became shocked and speechless. Especially after realizing that Steve is currently staring at them very sharply.

"I'm sorry Papa, honey, it must be because Papa is too fast to bring his car. Come on now we're in, " Steve said.

"It's okay Pa, Mama also threw up earlier. I want to go in with Mama, Pa" replied Alana.

"Riana, are you okay?" Steve asked with no answer at all from Riana. The woman took Alana and brought her into the house.

Steve was silent for a moment staring at the back of Riana's departure, then followed the child and his wife into the house.

"Darling, how's the nausea, is it gone?" Riana asked who looked very anxious.

Steve who saw from the crack of the door also felt guilty towards both of them, let alone seeing Riana who was just silent did not rub it at all. Though usually Riana always denied every word that. Riana and Alana lie down, so she leaves Alana's room, letting them both rest.

Riana blinked her eyes which still felt very heavy, until then his eyes opened wide and realized that he was still in Alana's room with Alana still sleeping by hugging him.

"What time is this, Riana muttered and then glanced at the alarm clock that was on the nightstand beside her son's bed.

"Hah at 17:00 WIB, means quite a long time also me and Alana sleep," muttered Riana who recalled that they had arrived at the house at 14:00 WIB.

Riana tried to raise Alana's tiny hand because she wanted to wake up immediately, but because Riana moved her body instead made Alana also wake up.

"Where are you going?" Ask Alana.

"Honey, I'm so sorry that you're disturbing your sleep. It's already 17:00 WIB Dear, Mama wants to wake up first, want to shower continue to prepare our dinner," said Riana who never forgot her obligations as a wife, who was, although at this time she chose to be silent to not serve Steve so that her husband was not always angry and make Alana as his outlet.

"Riana, are you a sucker now or mute? I'm talking to you!" Steve snapped and suddenly got out of bed and pulled Riana's hand violently, then pushed Riana's body against the wall and stared at her sharply, making Riana really very surprised at the treatment of her husband.
