The cold that was left by the rain last night instantly enveloped Nadin who had just set foot behind the house where his chicken coop was located. Lazily he gave his chickens a meal before they crowed and disturbed his sense of hearing.
“Hoaaaammmm.” This is the fourth time Nadin yawns because he is still sleepy. Last night he came home from the stall at about twelve and was finally able to fall asleep half an hour later.
“Nak, have shower not yet ?” Damara asked who again found Nadin feeding his pet.
“Not yet, Nadin is still cold.” Nadin turned to his mother.
“Then, then wash your face first new to the kitchen. We had breakfast together.” Order Damara and go back to the kitchen.
Nadin just remembered that last night he and his mother brought home a boy named Aidan. He realized it when he found Aidan sitting sweet in the kitchen. Nadin also sat down one seat from Aidan's seat. And as usual, Nadin took a vase of flowers on the dinner table and smelled it. His round eyes slowly glanced towards Aidan who was seen trying hard to hold back his eyes that would be closed because he was still sleepy like he was today.
“Hooaaaammmm.” Again Nadin yawned like Aidan. He then placed the flower vase that he was currently holding and put his head on the dining table. Her hair blocking the view she tucked behind her ear.
“Loh, you turned out to be female ?!” Said Aidan who was aghast when he saw a gold earring attached to Nadin's ear.
Nadin immediately raised his head in shock at Aidan's words. Meanwhile, Damara also turned to Aidan who had just found out the gender of his son. However, he just quietly waited for the response of his baby. Suddenly he smiled because he felt that Aidan's words were very funny.
“Of course I'm a girl, my name is Nadin.” Sahut Nadin with a sharp gaze addressed to Aidan.
“Name does not always indicate gender. I even have a boy friend whose name is Winda.” Timpal Aidan with a relaxed face.
“Haaah ?” Nadin could only show a face of astonishment after hearing Aidan's explanation. He found out that there was a boy named after a girl.
“So, since last night you thought I was a boy ?” Asked Nadin who was now sitting facing Aidan.
“Iya, because you look tomboy.” Aidan answered without guilt.
“What ?! Ka...” Nadin was suddenly silent and did not continue his sentence. He did not know the meaning of one last word uttered by Aidan.
“Mother, what tomboy is ?” Nadin looked at his mother.
“Hahahaha. The tomboy means a girl who has a boy-like nature, Nak.” Damara answered who could not help but laugh.
Nadin immediately swerved towards Aidan. He did realize that his hairstyle and way of dressing sometimes like a boy. But, he never felt that he had such a boy-like nature as well.
“I'm not tomboy. I'll show you that I'm really a girl.” Nadin's grouse still stared at Aidan sharply.
“Eh, Son. What do you want to do ? Why talk like that ?” Ask Damara who was surprised. His adult mind immediately took over after hearing Nadin's words. He was afraid that his son would do the things he had in mind right now.
“Nadin wants Aidan to play, Mom. So that she knows that Nadin is a woman.” Nadin looked at his mother again.
“Ooh, yes already. Just don't fight.” Timpal Damara was relieved.
“Jeez, Damara. Think what the hell are you. Your son will be small and innocent.” Inner Damara in the heart.
After finishing breakfast, Damara took Nadin and Aidan to the stall. On the way he met Mr. Heri who is RT sir in his village. Damara used the opportunity to tell Mr. Heri about Aidan's problems, he did that so that RT sir and people did not misunderstand when they saw him and his son suddenly live with a boy they do not know his origin.
“Alright, Miss Damara. I'll tell other residents if anyone asks about Aidan.” Said Mr. Heri after hearing Damara's story.
“Thank you, Mr. Heri. Then excuse me.” Damara turned on the motorcycle he was using. Heri left after she finished talking to him.
“Nadiiin.” Call Lala from a distance when she sees Nadin standing in front of her house.
Nadin who was about to get into the vehicle stopped his steps and turned to Lala.
“Nadin let's play for a while.” Take Lala as soon as she gets in front of Nadin.
Without a second thought, Nadin agreed to Lala's invitation. He asked his mother to go first to the shop. Meanwhile, Aidan chose to stay with Nadin.
“Nadin, who is this child ?” The whisper of Lala who had been staring at Aidan nonstop.
“Name is Aidan.” Answer Nadin. He also explained what happened to Aidan because Lala was also curious why Nadin suddenly with a boy. In fact, Nadin did not like to be friends with boys because they mostly like to disturb him.
“Hai, my name is Lala.” Lala said with a smile to Aidan.
“Iya.” Sahut Aidan who only stands with a flat face while inserting his hand in the pocket of shorts that he currently uses.”
“Did you not introduce yourself as well?!” Tanya Nadin glanced at Aidan. Since this morning he had been irritated by every word that came out of Aidan's thin, red lips.
“He already knows my name. Why do I introduce myself.” Aidan said with a surprised expression.
“Stay you have to do it ! Here !” Timpal Nadin while pulling the hand of Aidan who was standing a bit away from him.
“Come, why are you silent ?!” Nadin whispered when he realized Aidan was silent.
Meanwhile, Lala only smiled stiffly as she felt awkward about her current state.
“Halo, my name is Aidan.” Said Aidan while smiling a little.
“Ha... Hello also.” Lala smiled wider.
“Come in.” Take Lala and open the door of her yard made of bamboo.
Now, Nadin with Lala and Aidan sat on a bamboo chair under Lala's water guava tree. The part of the guava flower shaped like hair fell down little by little and hit the heads of the three children.
“Nadin, I'm sorry because lately I've never played with you.” Said Lala who currently showed a guilty face.
“Why are you sorry ? You can choose who you want to play with.” Nadin Sahut.
“Actually, I want to play with you. But, Ami and her genk keep asking me to play.” Timpal Lala's.
“No, I don't want to be his genk. I am tired of being told to by them. But, I wonder why Ami forbids other girls from playing with you. What's the problem with him ?” Ask Lala again.
Nadin just kept quiet and thought about what problem he had made with Ami. But, as he remembered, he never made trouble or fought with Ami.
“I never made any trouble with him. Never mind, I don't want to think about that. Not now is she like this to me.” Sahut Nadin who already knows the habits of Ami who likes to dominate and pretentious power among the girls in his class.
“But, if later after entering school you are suddenly invited to play with them, will you leave me alone ?” Tanya Lala now looked worried about her fate.
“I think after I don't want to follow his wishes, he will take you and tell the other children to stay away from me.” Lala said, he continued to think about things that would happen to him after making trouble with Ami.
“You don't have to worry. There's me, I'll play with whoever I want. I also do not need to follow his wishes. If later he also does not allow other friends to play with me yes let it, I am used to playing alone.” Obviously Nadin. Lala who heard Nadin's words immediately felt relieved.
“Thanks, Nadin.” Lala could now smile cheerfully.
“Iya.” Sahut Nadin.”
Nadin and Lala spent an hour talking, they both looked engrossed in his chatter and finally forgot about Aidan's whereabouts because Aidan was also silent and did not speak anything.
“Lala, now I have to go to the stall . My mom could be worried that I'm not going there.” Nadin said after realizing that he had been at Lala's house for a long time.
“Then, how about we pick up the guava first. So you can take her to warung.” Sahut Lala then went to the back of his house to pick up the tools his mother used to pick guava.
Nadin and Lala try picking guava with a tool carried by Lala. However, they did not manage to use it. Finally, Nadin decided to climb the tree.
“Eh, uh. What do you want ?!” Aidan asked who was surprised to see Nadin who looked like he was going to climb.
“You climbed into this guava tree, why ?” Nadin asked with a casual expression.
“Ah ? You want to climb a tree?!” Aidan asked, surprised.
“Iya.” Nadin stared at Aidan.
“You're a girl.” Timpal Aidan did not believe Nadin's answer.
“What if I'm a girl? I've been climbing trees.” Nadin began to climb.
“Hey, get off you ! You could fall. Let me climb up !” Shouted Aidan saw Nadin actually climbing the tall guava tree.
“My mother can be scolded by your parents if you later fall while climbing.” Timpal Nadin started picking the red guava.
Along the way to the stall, Aidan was still in disbelief when he re-imagined how Nadin walked leisurely on the tree while holding on to the branches of the tree.
“Have you always been like this ? Climbing like tarzan ?” Ask Aidan who is currently helping Nadin carry the guava.
“Ha ?! You said I was Tarzan ?” Nadin asked glaring at Aidan.
“Iya.” Aidan answered, looking at Nadin who suddenly remained silent and was now behind him.
“I am a woman, where can I be likened to tarzan ? Tarzan is a man.” Nadin Protest.
“Ah, earlier at Lala's house you want to climb too right ? If you can climb, then you are Tarzan, you are a man.” Said Nadin again with a sense of satisfaction can reply to the words of Aidan.
“Then you Tarzan female.” Said Aidan did not want to lose.
“How can I ever watch that movie. No Tarzan women there !” The protest of Nadin whose neck veins were seen appeared out of annoyance.
“Then you are her partner Tarzan.” Reply Aidan with a smile.
“No. You don't talk to me anymore.” Said Nadin with a tangled face and preceded Aidan walking towards the stall.
Aidan only smiled looking at the annoyed Nadin as he continued walking quickly without turning his head towards him. When they arrive at the shop, Nadin does not want to talk to Aidan until late at night. All day Nadin just kept quiet without reprimanding Aidan. Damara, who was busy all day, did not know that Nadin did not want to play with Aidan. He just thought Nadin wasn't talking to Aidan because they weren't too familiar yet.
“Mother, Nadin wants to go to festival.” Nadin said to his mother who was sitting at the cashier table.
“Can't, Son. I can't keep you company.” Sahut Damara turned her head towards Nadin who was currently standing beside her.
“Nadin is already big, Nadin dare to go alone. The place is also near.” Reply Nadin with a clear face.
“Nadin cannot go alone. If Nadin wants to go, take Aidan as well.” Damara.
Nadin just kept quiet to think about whether he would invite Aidan or not.
“Where ?” Ask Damara again.
“Some time, Nadin wanted.” Nadin replied with a pouting face.
Damara then walked over to Aidan who was sitting on the sofa of the cashier room. He asked Aidan to come with Nadin so that he did not get tired of being in the stall. Aidan agrees to go with Nadin. After being given the money, Nadin and Aidan went to the festival. Previously, Damara also advised that they do not separate and return to the stall as soon as possible.
Along the way, Nadin was silent with a disheveled face. However, his disheveled face suddenly turned cheerful after arriving at the festival venue. He was so excited to see the flickering lights that adorned the place.
“Mmm, I want to buy cotton candy.” Nadin said in a rather large voice in the hope that Aidan would follow him. Every now and then he deliberately looked in all directions to make sure Aidan was nearby.
“Pak, I bought two cotton candy yes.” Nadin said as soon as he arrived in front of the candy seller's cart. He was so engrossed in seeing the sugar machine that he did not have time to look at Aidan again.
“Thanks, Sir.” Nadin said again when he had paid and got the cotton candy. However, he was surprised when he did not find Aidan nearby. His heart immediately beat fast, he continued to look in all directions to search for Aidan's whereabouts. His fears and worries grew when Aidan did not show up.
“Aidaan ! Aidaaan ! Aidaaan !” Call Nadin in a rather loud voice. He didn't care about the people who looked at him. His breathing began to feel tight because his heart was beating too fast. Her tears now began to trickle down in fear that Aidan was completely gone.
“Aidaaan, hiks. Aidaaan, you where Aidaaaan, hiks, hiks, hiks.” Call Nadin in the middle of the crowd while still holding both cotton candy.
