When Love Remains Blind

When Love Remains Blind
Prologues

The world has not been well for centuries, the fear of the terror of monstrous creatures as a warning that there will be no more safe and peaceful place in any corner.

The shadow of death gripped, drawing people to the submission of destiny later on.

But it is only an embodiment for those who see events with the naked eye or when it lurks them. Many of them do not know if they are in danger.

As if it covered all his senses, they say if it's just a made-up legend so that children don't wander at night or people go to dangerous places alone because of a lot of crime and hungry wild animals.

Yes, that is the reality, who would have thought when their mouths were wide open when their children's flesh or even their own body parts were being shredded and chewed. In their hearts they cried out, lamenting over the distrust of the reality that had been told over and over again.

This hilltop used to be a place of prayer for those who believed in gods. Then people abandoned their beliefs and turned to worldly desires and became the top of this hill just a peot old navel.

There is an old building like a hut but made of good wood as the foundation and walls, the yard is spacious and there is a gazebo that is enough to accommodate many people.

The building describes if this place used to be visited by many people but now only seen an old hermit sitting on a small bamboo bale that only fit the butt.

The puff of smoke in his breath was thick to the point of covering his face, proving that the air above the hill that afternoon was very cold. but his gaze was slit as a voice from a distance explained a faint shadow like two people were approaching.

The ascetic stood leisurely but his eyes were still on his feet, afraid that the approaching might be something as dangerous as he had seen before.

His sense of alert immediately decreased replaced with anxiety made his pace quickly hunt towards two young people, the, one boy is about 15 years old and one girl is about 20 years old.

Both of them looked exhausted and needed to be rested immediately, but the old hermit's anxiety and worry was directed at the elder brother who was deathly pale and seriously injured in almost all parts of his body.

The hermit quickly took one arm and broke it "Quickly let's take him inside."

Finally, the two brothers without a word immediately followed the accompaniment of the hermit, looking relieved face though still very anxious etched on the face of the sister.

"Grandfather please save my brother, I beg you to save brother" that was all that came out of his mouth before he fell sprawled and fainted, probably exhausted from a long distance while frightened.

The old hermit was not a healer, but he was quite adept at medicine. He has been taking care of the two brothers for more than a week.

The elder brother had not been conscious since the day he had also fainted from enduring the excruciating pain in the wound on his abdomen, it was the most severe wound.

While the younger brother woke up the next day since his last sentence to the old hermit. But since then also the sister never spoke or told about what had happened to them.

It was still morning, the cold thin fog still enveloped the top of the hill and indeed as usual the recluse since early morning blind had been sitting on the bamboo bale that supported the butt.

Hawa hill was not too cold that morning, so wearing thin clothes was not a problem, it was also because the clothes of the hermit were still in the clothesline, can not dry because this week the weather is always cold.

The door creaked, someone opened it. It was the younger brother, he came out in a hurry.

His steps were shaky but sure, cold sweat adorned his plain face that was handsome and filled with guilt that was somehow meant, but would soon be answered.

He put the hermit aside and immediately kowtowed "Sorry ascetic grandfather, I should have directly told him what happened yesterday, but I was afraid that I would even trouble you."

The hermit smiled warmly as he investigated the young man's reddened face after rising from his prostration "Come here.. What the child wants to tell me."

Then the young man clasped his palm, stammering he told in detail the incident that befell them.

Over time, his breathing began to regularize while telling the true chronology. Unlike children his age when telling stories, this young man is very smart in choosing words, building a concise and clear story like an experienced storyteller, that's enough to prove if he's smart enough and likes to read.

From the story, he and his brother came from a distant village called Bendung Village, a small village surrounded by a water supply dam for a large city not far from the village.

At first the village was peaceful and peaceful until the morning blind, his house was attacked by a terrible creature. He described clearly what the creature looked like, the appearance of its body was like that of an ordinary human in general but its skin was pale like a corpse, its eyes were red-flamed in the darkness with slightly golden-colored pupils, his jaw was abnormally wide with all the sharp front teeth.

Her mother's father died tragically before her eyes by the creature, while her brother was mortally wounded to protect her.

They cried out for help, the creature miraculously disappeared after the cry of the two, but no one came until the sun rose.

Deep fear forced them to stay in position, hugging. But after easing up, she ventured to check on the situation while her brother bowed palely losing a lot of blood.

The pieces of his mother's father's body lying in a pool of blood made him want to vomit, but no more crying, all drained during the fear in his brother's arms.

The hermit did not interrupt but his countenance turned red, his breathing began to hunt from time to time.

The young man checked the state of the village, but the village was like a cemetery, deserted and deserted in all corners, he did not know whether the residents were dead or had fled.

She did not dare to check further, or rather she realized that her brother had lost a lot of blood.

From what he had read, if a living thing was bleeding a lot then his life was being threatened, then in the cover wound his brother with a cloth or anything that could stop the bleeding.

They walked for 8 hours looking for help in a nearby village, but like not finding life anywhere, but if they go to the city they do not have money for medical expenses. Like out of their minds they just keep walking hoping to find someone who can help until it ends at the top of this hill.
