"All this food...." Urana's words deliberately hang when looking at dozens of dishes on the table for patients. He doesn't even know where he is. "It's too much for me, sir."
"Nothing." The village chief was softly smiling. "Watch all the food they find as thanks, there are still palace people who care about us in the end."
"Ah, sure...."
"Yesterday, someone who was good at curing diseases said you were still weak." He changed the subject. "It's good that you rest here. Have mercy on your child."
However, Urana did not hear her last sentence. Raie's face scared her mind. Looking at the stare as sharp as the sword he was using, or a punch as strong as tens of tons, to make Urana's body tremble violently.
"N-no, thank you." His feet immediately stepped on the barren land inside the room. "S-I have to per---"
"Miss Urana!"
Exactly he caught his limp body, terrible pain shrouding Urana's stomach. He's moving. He kicked Urana's stomach skin as if he wanted to get out of here as a result of Urana's selfishness.
"Pity your son, Miss," he again led Uraa to sit by the bed, and put away a little table with plenty of food. "What makes you have to go quickly to the palace?"
"What's up, Chief?" Two people entered to see Urana who was panting with her hands gripped by the village head. "Is Miss Palace okay?"
"I don't think so." He glanced at his subordinates. "Tell all the people. This lady needs to be protected. Don't let the palace intruders find him. Only the honorable Count Faer was allowed to meet with him. Then, find the safest place for this Miss. Recruit people who look professional in keeping Miss inside the hideout."
"One person, whose body is the largest, must be here to take the Miss."
Too bad, Urana did not hear their words. This intense pain damaged all of his body's senses. He could not see clearly but could not hear. At least, Urana was grateful to be able to hear the sound and texture of the village's scalp when calling out her name.
"Listen, we should go to the library immediately," he said, leading Urana to stand up and let one big-looking citizen carry him.
"To the library?" Urana frowned faintly. His voice is also raucous. "Why are we going there?"
"There will be much safer, Miss." They ran parallel, of course, if the village head was not carried due to his long life. "The library was known only to Count Faer. Raie will never know where she is."
Wait, the frown on Urana's forehead is getting clearer. He never mentioned the name to the village chief, but Urana did think about how cruel he would be if caught running away from the palace. Why would he link Raie? Although the condition is weak, Urana can see slum buildings that deserve to be called ruins or empty buildings or it can be buildings that are swallowed by sand and dust.
This library should be called the safest place, the mind back lethargic. He thought it was just his outward appearance that looked unkempt. Apparently, it's worse inside. Spider's nest. Dust as thick as paper on each shelf. Until black ceramic is similar to sand. Fortunately, books and reading tables look clean.
Many children stay silent here, spending time reading until their mother comes to give food and storytelling sessions before going to bed.
What is here also where the children are hidden from Raie's cruelty? Hmm, interesting. Urana who was carried by a large man arrived in a patch of room. This is beyond a doubt. The place was very clean even though the wooden window was closed. Doesn't make Urana cough.
"Let me have a one-on-one talk with Miss," said the village chief without looking at his subordinates. So did the man, leaving without refuting.
