Starting a New Beginning in Kampung Orang

At 4 am I can not close my eyes again until sayup - sayup sound of azan sound from the mosque which is not far from the house om Riswan.

Today we will start our activities in the village om Riswan. Working as usual when wandering in the village of people, this time we will work as a construction worker in a housing that is being built in the office area for the staff.

My mind was still drifting where when Aunt Rasti's voice woke us up.

" Have a bad time, men wake up.. Today is a long day. Many of your activities start today." The incessant exclamation of Aunt Rasti while struggling with her activities in the kitchen.

" DANTIS.... VINDA...!!! Well, geez... You guys haven't left your room yet.!!" either..!!" The screams of Aunt Rasti again on the two girls.

" Okay, Aunt.. It was a big morning. Don't bother, we can snack on the way to work.." Yudi said before entering the bathroom to clean up.

" Angels divide the windfall at dawn, Jud. if you wake up late so you can not ration fortune dong." Sahut aunt Rasti spirit.

" Yeah, auntie.. " Reply Yudi did not want to take a headache from inside the bathroom.

" You take a shower, Jud.. Let's not go for it later." Aunt Rasti is back.

Without calling Aunt Rasti's words, Yudi immediately wandered his body. It is customary that he always takes a shower in the morning before starting his activities every day.

" Morning aunt..." Sapa Beny while sitting on one of the chairs, still with a pillow face.

Aunt Rasti turned to "The others are awake, Ben?"

"Aunties have lined up on the terrace while wrapping their bodies with their sarongs.." Beny said and smiled faintly.

" What else, Ben... until marching?" Ask aunt Rasti wonder.

" Let's see the girls of Riswan gathering while swimming.." Beny said giggling passed in the bathroom when he saw Yudi coming out.

Aunt Rasti looked astonished.." Danti and Winda swimming?" I don't have a swimming pool in front of my house. There's only a small river, and there's no way Danti and Winda can swim there.

" I mean his duckling om Riswan aunty.." Yudi explained because he saw the expression of Aunt Rasti who looked very surprised.

" Pardon Beny, aunt thought." said aunt Rasti began to understand and just shake her head while smiling.

Not long after the breakfast menu was ready, we all sat in a circle on the mat as usual enjoying the menu. Eating a lot is very delicious even though only enjoy a plate of fried rice and egg omelet served. But everyone felt very satisfied and full.

After breakfast, we were all ready to sit on the terrace waiting for Riswan who would deliver and show our workplace.

He said it wasn't that far, but it would be very difficult if we had to go back from work to Riswan's house. Until Riswan asked the developer to prepare lodging close to the job location.

" Is everything ready?" Tanya Om Riswan looked speechless at the terrace. Om Riswan looked fresh and ready to go.

" Ready, Om. " said Beny spirit.

"Nothing left, is it?" Ask again.

" In shayah, safe om.. If anyone is left behind, they can come back here. " Sahut Yudi is also greeted with a smile by om Riswan.

"Yes, let's go." Said Riswan again.

" Aunty, we say yes, pray for us to be healthy at work. " Said Sahid said goodbye first and followed by others.

We were all immersed in each other's thoughts along the way. Honestly, for a few days here I started to miss my hometown, my parents and my sisters. Although rarely at home but every day I can go home and meet with them.

The silent atmosphere was broken by the sound of Beny's cry looking extremely shocked and rubbing his face repeatedly " ASTAGAAAA....... "

" What, uh Ben. My eardrum can be damaged by your voice." Roy was sitting next to Beny.

"You didn't see Roy, that was a pretty girl.. " Beny said unceasingly looking back.

"What do I think, Ben.. Ben's.. " Sahid complains while shaking his head.

"Seriously... Am I the only one who saw it?" Beny said reassuringly.

" Maybe a ghost, Ben, it's still morning." Said Riyan also commented to scare Beny.

"What is possible, where there are ghosts that still roam with the condition of the sky that has been reddish like that." Omel Beny pointed towards the eastern sky. Welcomed by others.

" It could be, Ben. mbak kuntinya curious as you so faithful waiting for you to pass.hahah...." Yudi also laughed.

" you... " Beny took a deep breath not finishing the word - he said. " Just wait when he shows up again you'll be blown away. I'm sure he's not a ghost." Beny continued still upset, seeing the others down one by one from the car, telling himself, Riyan and I who were on the back seat.

" That's it, Ben. let's go down." I said as I pushed him down immediately.

Actually I also saw the girl Beny saw. It seems, maybe he lives around here, meaning that we will meet often. I who is sometimes a little indifferent to the surrounding environment sometimes it is a stupid period with some things, including what has just become a debate Beny with others about the girl.

"Yud, come here.." Shouted om Riswan to Yudi. It seems that he is seriously talking to someone.

We were still standing near the car while still joking, waiting for Riswan who spoke first with the foreman where we would work.

Just for a moment, Yudi approached back towards us. " Ayoo, put that stuff down in the car, we're going straight to the basecame." Yudi said as he opened the car door.

" far not..?" Ask sahid anyway.

"near. The car can only get here.the road is not too passable by a small car." continued Yudi explained again.

We all just nodded and followed Yudi's steps. Om Riswan was still busy talking in the basecame living room with the foreman's head, while watching us who had been pacing a few times - and then entering the goods into our new residence. A small house with a living room that blends with the dining room, has 2 bedrooms, one bathroom that is only separated by a partition with a kitchen.

After all the stuff is done we move from the car, we are all scattered looking at our new place. " It's nice, having the kitchen utensils sober." I muttered while in the kitchen and stepped back into the living room.

" Where is the clean water, sir?" I asked politely to Mr. Agus, the head foreman who smiled cheaply.

" Something is going on every morning. If you want to drink or cook with the water in the gallon." He answered, pointing towards the gallon in the corner of the stovetop.

"Tap water is only used for bathing and washing well, the water is a little smelly when the rain is heavy. but still clean enough if only for washing and bathing." Agus continued again with his friendly smile.
