"Based on the blood sample I took and then I did an experiment. The result is Miss suffering from end-stage blood cancer or commonly called stage 4 leukemia," explained the doctor made Gyana round her eyes perfectly.
Tears were piling up more and more in his eyes, and as he blinked, those tears were spilling over. Gyana couldn't help her sadness. Gyana smiled wryly, what a great fate. Not yet he gulps what happiness feels like, now it has been given other suffering. Pregnancy was a bad pain for him.
But, he was wrong. It is not enough to get there, apparently God has prepared even more heinous suffering. He suffered from blood cancer, the deadliest disease in the world. And worse, it's late stage. There is no longer much chance for him to heal.
God is fair to him. Should he be given endless suffering without being given the opportunity to taste happiness first. Happiness after passing the tests in his life.
The depression he had felt was not fully recovered. But God has given him a new disease, which is even more deadly. Why didn't God take away his life? Why make him feel so much pain first? Actually, what sin he had committed to be made to suffer in such a way.
"Final stage, does that mean I'm going to die soon, Doctor?" gyana asked while smiling sideways with cheeks flooded with tears.
"I'm not God who can know when Miss is going to die. I'm just an ordinary human being who can only help as much as I can, the rest of the governing God."
"For that, I'll give Miss two choices. First, Miss remove the fetus so that Miss can do treatment, if doing chemotherapy and so Miss will have many opportunities to recover. Or the second, Miss can still defend the fetus, but Miss's life is threatened. In this second choice, Miss just trust in God because the almighty will surely give her a miracle," continued the Doctor made Gyana immediately sobbed.
"Is this disease dangerous for my fetus to be aborted?" gyana asked with a trembling voice.
"The answer's no. Blood cancer or leukemia will not attack the fetus. But, the treatment of a type of chemotherapy that Miss will walk that harms the fetus in the womb Miss."
"In that case, I will still defend my fetus, Doctor." Gyana said confidently.
"I appreciate the decision that Miss made. God must be smiling to see the spirit of Miss keep her tits well. I will pray that God will give his best for Miss and the future baby. If you want, I'll suggest some treatment that's still safe to do." The doctor gave Gyana encouragement and support. He greatly appreciated the decision Gyana made.
After Gyana's departure, the doctor wiped away the flowing tears. Kala remembered the late son-in-law who suffered from the same disease as Gyana. As a Doctor and in-law, the doctor has done his best to save his son-in-law and future grandchildren.
Various painful chemotherapies were passed by his son-in-law. But the result is nil, he lost his future grandchild and son-in-law who fought at the end of life. For this reason, the doctor did not want to force his patient, Gyana, to do chemotherapy.
The doctor seemed to regret that he had forced his son-in-law to stay. In fact, his son-in-law has said he wants to enjoy the end of his life and save his fetus. But, selfishness makes him lose everything and regret always comes at the end.
"What's up, Miss?" ask the driver who is waiting outside the car.
"Already, Sir. Please take me home." at first the driver was curious and wanted to ask how the results of his guess, is it true is wrong? However, looking at the lethargic face as well as the flowing tears of Gyana. He also discouraged his intention to interfere, let alone it was a personal matter of his passengers.
While Gyana just hugged tightly her pregnancy letter, while documents stating about her illness had been thrown into the trash.
After arriving at his apartment unit. Gyana put her bag on the table. Her pregnant statement letter accidentally came out of the bag and lay on the floor. A man who had just entered saw, picked it up and read it, while Gyana went to the kitchen to pick up a drink.
