Swallowing Reality

Arzan looked at his little princess who had already fallen asleep quietly. Apparently he was delirious earlier. His eyes still looked sleepy, probably due to the influence of drugs.

The sound of knocking on the door made Arzan stop his activity, he turned to the door and was ready to move to open the door but someone was seen already standing in the doorway because it turned out the door was open.

"Fire..." Qiana who saw Nathan just standing in the doorway called out to him with a call that made Arzan's heart throb at once in shock. When did his daughter call Nathan.

"Dear, papi came" Nathan finally made a sound, he walked over to Qiana's bed and stood opposite Arzan.

In the past, I was Nathan's papi's son and Mitha's mother but now I'm daddy's son and Tiara's mommy" the energetic voice of the little boy made Arzan even more surprised, he thought about what he had missed these few days.

"We need to talk, come on!" invite Nathan without further ado, he breezed away after first dipping the top of Qiana's head lovingly, there was a heart that again throbbed felt Arzan saw the scene. Fortunately the little girl was also sensitive to the situation.

The hospital cafeteria became where two handsome men sat facing each other. The table at the very end is close to a large window facing the park in the middle of the hospital building to be their choice of seating. Nathan deliberately chose to sit there so that not too many people passed through the area.

Two cups of coffee were on the table, Nathan ordered them as per Arzan's request. The same drink they ordered when they were hanging out at the cafe, but this time Arzan ordered the coffee without sugar.

"Now that we are both adults" Nathan began to open the conversation after a few minutes of silence and dissolves in each other's minds

"Can't we make peace with the situation and live life well in the future?" Arzan was still silent, waiting for what Nathan would say next.

"I know I was wrong to betray you, I'm sorry. From the very heart I sincerely apologize for all my and Mitha's wrongs, and you need to know that for almost nine years I have been pursued with guilt for all that" Nathan sighed to pause his words,

"Heumm" replied Arzan turning his gaze away from Nathan as he reached for a bitter cup of coffee he accidentally ordered. Nathan grimaced when he saw Arzan slurping him.

"bitter?" nathan asked, making sure,

"Heumm" was again the short answer that Arzan gave.

"Today I deliberately ordered bitter coffee, I even accidentally forgot the sugar, so I was used to swallowing reality" said Arzan full of meaning, with a straight forward gaze and thoughts floating somewhere.
