Fic gulped a rough spit. "What do you want Miss? Please just. Don't make it harder for me. I'm in charge of dropping you off at school, picking you up, and making sure you go to school well. Mr. Nath will be angry if you're like this." Fic tried to explain Ellena. Ellena did not answer.

"Kiss me first, and then I'll come down."

"Miss. I told you, you're an adult. I can't do it anymore."

"Who wouldn't allow it?" asked Ellena with a sharp look.

"I'm gonna go downstairs and get to class, if you come back to kiss me like you did every time you walked me. I don't want anything to change."

Fic momentarily stared at the steps of the girl who was no longer small. Fic's back in the car. Quiet enough.

Fic took a deep breath and took it out slowly. Repeated it a few times to eliminate the rumble in his chest that had not disappeared.

"Geez!" Fic rubbed his face violently.
