School Friend Reunion Party Pt.2

After she arrives at the front gate of Debby's rented housing, Desta tells her she will wait there, and she sees Debby's family getting into a small bus, looks like they're going back to Malang, Desta thought.

Before long, Debby approached the taxi that Desta was riding, and they rushed to leave because it was now half 5pm, and sure enough, the rain was soaking the city.

“Good we took cab” said Debby.

“Mmm.” Desta nodded his head in response to Debby's words.

“I wonder what the party will be like” said Desta who looks not excited.

“Hey come on, it can't be that bad” Debby pinched Desta's cheek to get him back excited.

“Haha, you can indeed make me forget my anxiety..! All right we'll see later” said Desta responding to Debby's actions.

At 6 o'clock 5 minutes and they arrived at the party building, lucky the building had a roofed lobby, so the guests would not be rained.

They also entered the building and immediately saw a decoration that read “Welcome the alumni of SMP Negeri 69 Palembang City at the grand reunion of the generation in 2004”.

“Wah, I thought you wouldn't come.!” it was Gibran, Debby and Desta just chuckling at his arrival.

“Bontet, spirit yes.!” Debby leaves Desta on grounds to take a cold drink.

“To me once you Deb” Desta cried in his heart because he had to face Gibran alone, he saw Debby from a distance was giving him spirit.

“Wah, isn't this Desta the geeky?” said a middle-aged man who looks very classy with his luxurious makeup.

It was Anton, his bully-like classmate and also one of the guys who liked Debby.

While Anton distracts Gibran, Desta slowly retreats and disappears from their sight.

“Huh, thank you Anton, your services will never be forgotten.!” said Desta in my heart.

Desta went straight to Debby who was taking a cold drink.

“Deb, I don't think this party is bad either” Desta is slowly starting to change his view on reunion, because so far he hasn't seen any of his friends showing off his wealth, maybe because of the coming only 20 people out of a total of 45 people.

“But we'll see until this party is done” even so, Desta doesn't want to fully believe that this reunion is not like any other reunion party.

The time has shown at 7 pm and finally the person who was waiting for it has arrived.

He who held this party and also who paid all the fees so that this party could be held, he was Gilang.

As Desta remembered, Gilang was a rich man's son who had a bad nature like a rich man in general, he liked to show off his wealth and only wanted to get along with the wealthy only.

But with the holding of this reunion party and he who became the main star, the desta felt it was possible that he had changed a little, because the invited were certainly not all wealthy people.

Moreover, Gilang had previously considered Desta a very poor person because he left and returned to school to be picked up only onthel bikes, while he always used a luxury car.

It made Desta believe his assumption, that Gilang may have changed a little.

Everyone stood up and welcomed Gilang's arrival with great fanfare until someone shouted, “Gilang, marry me.!”, but Gilang just smiled a little and continued walking towards the main table.

“Everyone, thank you for attending this reunion party..! I can't express how happy I am to see you all after all these years of not seeing each other, for that let's toast in the hope that in the future it will be good again and can strengthen our relationship all” Gilang said a very good speech so that everyone including Desta and Debby raised his drinking glass for toast.
