Eva who was lifting the camera in her hand to photograph the idol became stunned. The gossip of those behind him made his soul seem to leave his body for a moment. With a feeling that was not because of the breath Eva became rough with teary eyes when she turned her gaze towards the figure of the man who had been sleeping with her was smiling widely on the campaign stage.
No! No way! Hietlar was too gentle to be the leader of those ruthless people!!
Can't believe it feels to hear the reality that Eva's guesses are limited to mere bad prejudice seems to be true. A cheerful, friendly, considerate and affectionate figure like Hietlar was the cruelest party leader in German history to date? Perhaps not only Eva would not believe it, but her family as well.
But all the strange happenings in his house all this time what?! What did the reporters say was true?!
Nah! Hietlar is definitely not that kind of person, I must be sure!
Eva is actually aware of reality, but her love has blinded common sense. He chose to refuse to be conscious and continue to believe only wishful thinking.
On the other hand, the reporters began to huddle closer the microphone on the table where Hietlar was standing. The tall man dressed in a tosca green suit and his distinctive round hat gave a wide smile greeting to the public who almost filled the entire street in front of the Marientplatz building.
"Good morning comrades in arms that I respect, the indigenous people of our beloved country as well as all the ancestors who witnessed me stand here to uphold the pure values of the country that are almost wiped out by foreign cultures. Today's brutal leadership allows immigrants to rule on their own land. Spreading heresy, doing business, taking over jobs and slowly destroying our country from within! As a party representative, I as the chairman convey attention and concern for our country to invite colleagues all join me to expel the immigrants who have-"
Her sweet words were truly beautifully arranged. Hietlar, I trust you so much but why did you betray me like this!
The speech delivered by Hietlar only further added to Eva's wavering feelings. He was trying to hold back the tears as he saw and heard the gossiping reporters even staring at Eva with disdain.
Although Hietlar's goal is good, he has mishandled his power by continuing to slaughter immigrants over the past decade. His heinous deeds must have been heard often on social networks and of course the journalists who know the original story of the man.
Eva could not bear to hear the words Hietlar kept saying, she moved with tears leaving the campaign. Hietlar who saw this still continued his words but with a blink of an eye he hinted at Hema and his men to follow Eva.
"Eva?! long time no see."
"P-sister Henrich, it's good to see you again." Eva rubbed her wet cheeks rough.
While Henrich, seeing Hema and his men walking, was about to approach Eva, he flapped his hands, signaling them to stop. As per the interruption, they stopped and returned to keep Hietlar safe.
"Sir, there's something I want to ask you. Can we talk to you for a second?"
"Of course, now you're my best friend's future wife so don't worry anymore."
"The matter is uncertain.Let's sir."
Henrich and Eva walked towards a place that was not too crowded, you could say the place they were sitting this time was a long roadside chair that used to be occupied by Gerlt as well as the first place Eva met Hietlar.
"What do you want to ask, Eva?" Henrich asked while offering a warm cup of coffee that his assistant brought him.
"Why didn't you tell me Hietlar's true identity in the first place?"
"I just found out all this when I loved her so much! What can I do now? Just so much you guys." Eva glassy.
His words did sound faint and tremble, as if the suppression of each of his words was truly pitiful. Henrich himself still did not budge, he only let out a long sigh while occasionally sipping coffee in his hand.
"What was it from the beginning that your kindness was also just pretending? you intentionally want to give an innocent girl like me to Hietlar huh?"
"Hietlar is not what you imagine, he loves you sincerely. The reason for hiding all this was also for fear that you would be like now, not accepting with his identity." Henrich.
"I can't go on with her, it's better we end up here than I have to live with a ruthless leader!"
Eva left Henrich with tears in her eyes, but only a few steps had her hand held back by Henrich.
"Eva I beg you to help me, if Hietlar does not want to move to our country." Whisper with a serious look.
"How many times do I have to say it? I can't live with Hietlar anymore, as well as he treats me but I don't want to walk with him on a pile of innocent corpses!"
"Curtain! I mean work for us, watch Hietlar's every move. Gather every evidence of his crimes if you really love this country."
Henrich said softly but with great emphasis, his hand also clasped the wrists of the woman who was looking at him with such astonishment.
"Whatchu mean? Who are you really?!" Eva brushed off Henrich's hand.
Henrich quickly pulled out an identification card from his suit pocket, showing it to Eva quickly. "I'm a member of the state intelligence agency, if you don't give me any answers then I'll assume you're in a rebellion with Hietlar!"
Wh-what's this? Why can't I know so much about their real identities? what am I doing now. I hate Hietlar, but I still love him. What should I tell Mr Henrich?
Eva was stunned for a moment while staring at Henrich's identity card. Today he gets a lot of reality that has been trying to be covered from him. Bitter and painful, because now he is squeezed between the interests of the country and his deep-rooted love.
Behind his current situation, the country is indeed in the grace period after the end of the 1st world war where many immigrants who came to do business and live in Germany because of the contents of the agreement put forward by the United Nations Organization (UN) obliging Germany after losing the war to allow foreigners to settle freely in exchange for the chaos caused by Germany.
Hietlar, who from the beginning with his father embraced Germanism (Fanatic indigenous tribes) did not accept the contents of the agreement and slowly built up a force to voice his desire where Germany should be clean of immigrants.
"So what's your decision, Eva?" Henrich tries to resuscitate Eva, who is still confused.
"Darling?! Why did you suddenly leave the campaign, I got out of focus and hurriedly ended the speech." Hietlar suddenly arrived with a group of guards, approaching Eva and Henrich who were having a serious conversation.
"Don't tell me my true identity, I'm waiting for you tomorrow morning in the Frishcut Cafeteria." Henrich's whispers quickly before Hietlar came before them.
