The applause echoed in the hall where the engagement was held between Grand Duke Oliver Nerithone and Lady Letizia Alova Wilson. They had just pinned the rings on each other's fingers.

Oliver kissed Patrizia's hand. "You're officially mine, Patrizia."

"Rex, don't call me by that name when we're in a crowded place" Patrizia recalled.

"Yes, sorry baby." Oliver stroked Patrizia's cheek gently.

Everyone in the room dropped their jaws looking at the Grand Duke's sweet demeanor. They did not expect that the cruel Grand Duke could turn out to be so sweet when with his fiancee. The ladies who saw him were envious as well. Deteriorated their hope with the man like a drop of the Greek god.

Albert recalled what he had done to Letizia. He was a very cruel father. How could a father abandon his sick little daughter. He does not deserve to be called a father.
