THE VAMPIRE; Nark De Melchias

THE VAMPIRE; Nark De Melchias
XIII. Controlled

The atmosphere of a girl's bedroom was filled with the aura of grief and sobs of a boy's cries. William cried with a body that hugged the body of the brother.

Strange vibrations came from the body of the older brother. Dante felt a foreign aura emanating from Ethel's unconscious body.

"William, stay. Something strange happened to Miss Ethel." said Dante.

William is pulled and hides behind Dante's watchful back. A powerful attack attacked Dante until the man bounced against the wall of the hallway. William looked at her with a surprised face.

"Sister?" he muttered.

The bead of eyes turned gray as if controlled, open portal Nark and Dion emerged from the Portal carrying Ethel's unconscious soul. "What's this?" Nark asked.

Ethel's room was a little messy with a broken door. Nark turned to look at his already unconscious girl with different eyes. "Dante." Call Nark.

The man, a vampire doctor, arrives unharmed despite being bounced from the attack Ethel launched on him. "Yes, Your Majesty?"

Nark's pupils shone sharply, with his hands still holding Ethel's soul. "What's going on here? Why would Ethel be sober with that soulless body?" His tone was full of emphasis.

"I don't know it either, Your Majesty."

The girl had intended to attack Nark with an attack she had already prepared, but a protector broke the attack. Nark just stared at him sharply with his shining pupils. "Who are you?"

The soul floated up with a red aura enveloping it, the soul slowly flying closer to it. The strange vibration made the ground shake violently, Nark's pupils lit up.

"How dare you touch it, your master will I exterminate it from the civilization of the world."

The big hand reached Ethel's body under control but the burning and stinging of his hand hurt.

He smiled, both hands raised above the air and held Ethel tightly. Whispering something that makes the control a little loosened.

With that chance, Nark touched Ethel's stomach and let out a hint of his aura for the control to be completely detached.

Ethel's soul slowly fell on the girl's bed. Ethel was unconscious once the soul disappeared.

"Dante?" Nark called out to Dante with a trembling tone.

"That's normal, Your Honor. He'll be conscious in a minute."

The sun changed the bright moon. Light up the room from the sidelines of the window that is not covered with curtains.

He remained in Ethel's bedroom, his warm hands not stopping to wipe the girl's face and head. Occasionally rubbing Ethel's eyes so softly.

"When did you wake up?" Nark murmuring.

Her red eyes stared at the beautiful moon accompanied by several stars in the night sky. He remembers the night they went into the human world and that's when they met Ethel.

"The Imperial Star.." he muttered.

His face was slightly calm with an engraved smile. He still remembered how much the human girl hated him for being fond of him.

Hand movement felt in the skin of Nark. The head turned to the girl who slowly opened her eyelids and revealed eyes as blue as the sky at night.

"You're awake, thank God." he clasped Ethel's hand on his forehead and closed his eyes.

Slowly the girl's body rose to lean on the back of the bed. "Who are you, sir?"

Feelings of tightness, pain, anger and also no confidence mixed into one and enveloped his heart.

His hand was about to wipe Ethel's face, but the girl gently brushed her hand away. "I'm sorry if I'm presumptuous, sir. But your actions really don't match the nobility's ethics."

"Ethel?" Nark muttered in disbelief with a drop of tears falling on his left eye.

The blue eyes looked at him blankly. "Ethel? Is that my name?"

Like being shot by thousands of arrows, Nark's heart momentarily stopped and beat rapidly. Heard her maiden mention the name of another man in front of her.

"A-Arsene... who?"

The girl smiled sweetly with her eyes closed. "Arsene is my fiancee. We've been engaged since childhood." He laughed at the end of the sentence.

"Wedding?" Nark continued muttering with clenched hands on the bed.

She's upset. His eyes filled with great anger until his eyes turned red. "Ethel—"

"If you're not Arsene, then who are you?" Ethel interrupted with a blank look.

She cried. His head was raised and a smile was etched, a face full of sadness. "Yes... I'm Arsene.." he said.

Ethel felt a strange aura from the man. However he smiled as soon as the man was his fiancee. "I thought I was kidnapped, Arsene."

His body stiffened as the girl hugged him suddenly. "Ethel?"

Ethel opened his eyes. Tears fell on Nark's shoulders and soaked his clothes. "I dream, my family is slaughtered and I live in a different world, Arsene."

"That's terrible. They are cruel and scary creatures. I don't want to live with them." Ethel.

Nark seemed to understand what Ethel was going through, Isaac came to slaughter whoever he saw. At that time, the world of vampires was almost wiped out.

"Yes, they're terrible. So, don't stay away from me."

The deck is getting stronger. Ethel drowned his face in Nark's chest. "certain."

The early morning atmosphere where Ethel's bedroom is visited by Dante, William, and Dion sees a girl hugging the body of the most influential man in the vampire world.

"The Mu—" Nark put his index finger on his lips and stared intently at everyone standing beside the bed.

He slowly wakes up with Ethel's hand holding him. "He forgot his memory" said Nark.

"Sorry, Your Grace? Forgot memories?" Dante said he couldn't believe it.

William was ready to cry. But with all his might he lowered his head and held back that cry. "William, do you know who Arsene is?"

He raised his head, tears welling up in his eyes. "Y-yes. Arsene De Belvedre is Ethel's fiancee. He's a young duke who's following the war with Duke Belvedre."

"However, he died of the war. And that makes Ethel turn silent."

Nark speechless. Arsene was a valuable man in Ethel's life. "As long as his memory has not returned, I am considered Arsene by him. Call me Arsene in front of him."

"We will recover his memories slowly and win the war with the rulers of the three nations."

He gently rubbed Ethel's head which slowly frowned before opening his eyes. "Archaeene..."

Everyone's surprised. Nark just smiled with his eyes closed. "Morning, Ethel."

"Eh.. Who're they?" Ethel.

"William De Galiadne. Why are you with a stranger, come here." Ethel exclaimed with a demand.

Someone in the room gritted his teeth. Seeing a girl he dreams of has lost his memory.

"Don't you remember me?"

"uh? Sure oes. You're my brother, William De Galiadne. Why should I forget my sister?"

Seriate..
