Caitlyn turned her back and saw Edrick standing behind her.

"Edrick," said Caitlyn.

"How are you doing? Are you well?"

"What do you mean Ed?"

"Cat, didn't you go to the hospital today? I saw you and Jeff in the hospital. I saw you guys in the ER."

'Oh, my God, maybe what Edrick meant was Amber. It's possible that Jeff took Amber to the hospital. Good, that means Jeff did his job well to keep Amber. All right, then I'd better pretend that Edrick isn't suspicious, ' Caitlyn muttered with a smile.

"Oh of course, I'm fine Edrick. I just slipped and Jeff took me to the hospital. Just a light wound," Caitlyn replied with a smile.

"Jeff is a good husband, he can always take care of you."

"Yes, he loves me very much."

"Then why are you alone? Where's Jeff?"

"Oh.. This is how it was after coming home from the hospital. Jeff had a sudden job so he went to finish the job. As for me, at home I can't sleep. So I went here to get some fresh air."

"Yes" replied Caitlyn. When Edrick was about to step foot suddenly he turned his body back then approached Caitlyn who now began to walk away from him.

"Emh..The paint!" call Edrick. Caitlyn turned her body back.

"What's up Ed?"

"Cat, are you still mad at me?" ask Edrick. Caitlyn smiled wryly at Edrick's question.

"So you haven't forgiven me, Cat?" ask Edrick back.

"Take it, let's just say I've forgiven you."

"Thank you very much. Caitlyn, can we talk to you for a second?" ask Edrick.

"About what?"

"About that contract of employment."

"What do you mean?"

"Sit on my desk" Jeff replied. He then stepped onto his desk, while Caitlyn appeared to be walking behind him. They then dropped his body on the sofa next to the table.

"What's up Ed?" asked Caitlyn while frowning.

"Look Cat, about the contract. We could have made that contract change even shorter. Before, I'm sorry Cat. I used to expect too much from you. I was too ambitious to lose my mind. I framed you for signing the contract for five years so I could stay with you. I should have realized long ago, until whenever I could never have your heart because your heart belongs to Jeff. Unfortunately, I realized too late. Now I want to fix all the mistakes that have happened, Cat. I want you to be happy, I don't want you to be restrained by my ambition."

"We're going to do a re-signing, Cat. I will change the contract to two years. After that I want you to be free, I won't come back to you, Cat."

"Well, then I go home now" said Caitlyn.

"Going home? But you haven't ordered any food here, Cat."

"No, I want to rest. Frankly, all this time I couldn't sleep well because of the contraction of that cooperation. And today for the first time I feel like I'm free from the pressure that's been holding me all this time."

"And that's because of me, right? Sorry if I'm late to realize all this. I was selfish and always filled with my ambitions" said Edrick, who was met with a smile by Caitlyn. Suddenly Amber's shadow flashed through Caitlyn's mind.

'Yeah, it's actually too late. But it's much better than having to go through with that five-year contract. And unfortunately I have also chosen Amber as our surrogate mother. And when we were just about to start a pregnancy program, all of a sudden I had to sign a five-year contract. Of course I feel very confused. I love Jeff so much and I don't want to lose Jeff, so I took the initiative to get a son from a surrogate mother."

"Surrogate mother?"
