The Tomb Next to the House

The Tomb Next to the House
1. Prohibition Village

The name of the village sounds strange. Prohibition Village. Are there many restrictions in the village? I don't know. I don't give a shit.

Most importantly, we have our own home. Not living together with the fierce in-laws who always wanted to interfere in our household affairs. Organize everything I do. The house feels like hell. Living like that, long ago can make my brain unhealthy.

Everything is arranged. From waking up to sleeping again. I'm a human. Have feelings. It is not a robot that is programmed to fulfill orders from its employer.

But my joy was immediately lost when I saw the house we were going to live in. Actually I was already feeling awkward when I had just passed the entrance to this village.

The cold and gripping cold made my hair bristling. It was still day, and the sun was hot.

"Mam, let's go down." The voice of Althaf, our only 10-year-old son, broke my daydream.

With ogah-ogahan I got out of the car.

"Mas!" call me after Raihan, my husband, who's almost at the door.

She's looking.

"What's up, Deck?"

"Mas sure you bought this house?" many wonder.

How not?

The first impression when looking at this house is haunted. Even if viewed from a distance, as well as from the straw hole will also remain the same.

The house looks unkempt with a building made entirely of wood—although it does not deny the fact that it is wood with the best quality. Tamanan vines lush body on the roof, and dirty floor naudzubillah ....

Is this building worth mentioning?

"You know how else. You are the one who asked to buy a house quickly. Yes, only this house is sold at a cheap price. You know what my finances are right now, right?" said Mas Raihan, making me gawk.

"But not like a haunted house either time, Mas."

"Hus! Be careful when you say."

"What's? A ghost?" Althaf suddenly nongoled from behind, while dragging his own suitcase.

"Your mama, if you don't filter it first. Anyhow there's a ghost in broad daylight like this." Husband chiming.

"Whatever it is, Mama's ghost. Hihihi," always Althaf. Start with the flow.

"No. His ghost will be afraid of your mother. You see, if again angry ghosts also lose their serem. Haha."

"Haha."

Laugh as much as you. My grunts in my heart.

I left the father and son's gossip with my face bent.

Deserve my husband got a house with a period that can be said to be fast and affordable prices. Wherever there are people who want to buy a set of land with buildings that look haunted like that.

Walk up the path in the middle of the unfamiliar village, hoping to meet the natives here to ask about this village. Even though I lived for a long time in an area not far from here, I never heard of this Prohibition village.

Or maybe the location of this village is not on the google map? Then how do I shop online if the position is only impossible? What if the courier is stray?

This is a ghost village or what? Why is it that there are no signs of life? No one walks past, not even out of the house. The doors were tightly closed in unison.

Eh? What's that up ahead? The river?

It turned out that this path led me to a river with clear water. Wow, what a coincidence. Although the air here is a little mystical, but my body still needs natural freshness.

I also intend to play around with water for a while. To cool my hot heart. The desire to bathe in the river suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Without waiting for long, I set foot down the steep rock that would lead me to the river.

But a pat on the shoulder suddenly shocked me.

"Astaghfirullahal'adhim!" seruku while looking.

Wanted to know who the prankster was suddenly startling. I'm sure there was no one else here.

"Oh my goodness, Grandma. People want to swim!" my protest, seeing an old woman who was already standing at the back.

"Sir, don't come down. No bathing in Sendang Fragrance."

I watched him for a moment while frowning.

"Don't ask too many questions. Now go back to your house," continued the grandmother as if to know the questionable gaze I had placed on her.

"B-well, Grandma."

I had to force it. While re-raising next to my feet that have already come down.

After the old grandmother left to continue her journey, I returned to my original intention.

Honestly, I don't believe in mystical things. I am the kind of rational person. My principle is that humans are higher than the subtle creatures. We need not fear their threats.

Foolish time with grandma's ban. What right to forbid anyone. Don't know what, I'm hot?!

I tread on the descending steep rock carefully. It didn't take long to get to the river.

Immediately take off my clothes one by one, then put the body still wrapped in thin cloth in the two sensitive places into the river.

Ah, fresh ....
