64. Feckless

After successfully extracting information from Jono who was a former member of the Scoot master, the police also reopened the case of Desiree's abduction is still a mystery. Even Darta was appointed to lead the investigation by her superiors. Although Jono is not currently in custody, he is under police surveillance.

“ Mmm.., I do know that. But from where do you know if Bu Siti has died. Not that the news circulating is that Bu Siti ran away for fear of being dragged into this problem.?” ask Hasman curiously.

“ Do you believe me if I say Bu Siti is the one who told me directly..?” tanya Darta hesitates but is quickly embraced by Hasman.

“ I believe...,” sahut Hasman steady to make Darta smile.

“ Alright, please cooperate. Tell Us the slightest information it...” pinta Darta while thrusting her business card.

“ Good Sir. I will contact you later...,” sahut Hasman while reading Darta's business card carefully.

Afterwards Darta and Fauzan left Hasman's office to proceed to the next place with several members of the civilian-clothed police waiting in front of Hasman's office.

While in a luxurious house seen a couple who were enjoying their breakfast in silence. They were Henry and his wife Susan.

This kind of atmosphere is common in this couple because the relationship is no longer harmonious in recent years. They survived in unhealthy households only because they did not want to lose the title of being the most harmonious pair of officials in the city.

Hendrik did serve as mayor while his wife was a lecturer at a well-known university in the city. Both are notoriously busy so that when they can perform together in public, the public sees them as a compact and loving couple.

Hendrik doesn't understand why he became ‘weak’ when he confronted his wife. He has tried to seek treatment everywhere in order to return to his duties as a husband in bed. Hendrik raged at Susan's words. Hendrik was terrified. Not only afraid of losing the title as a harmonious couple, but Hendrik did not want to lose the woman he loved. Hendrik sat on the floor covering his face. He did not expect that his marriage would end soon and it was because of him.

Hendrik got up and went to his study. There he poured out his annoyance by drinking. He feels a little better when drunk because he can forget about his problems for a moment.

If Hendrik had been a little honest. She has experienced that weakness since she cast**saan on Desiree, her own fiance the day before their wedding was inaugurated. Desiree used to scream and cry as Hendrik kept pushing himself. Just then the swearing came out of Desiree's mouth.

The next day Hendrik returned to his room to pick up Desiree for the wedding ceremony. He was surprised to see Desiree's naked body lying on the floor of the room with blood flooding her body. When approaching to check on Desiree's condition, Hendrik looks panicked because he found his fiancee has died.

Unwilling to bear the shame, Hendrik ordered Jono to carry Desiree's body away from his home. Then Hendrik went to Mr. Scoot's house and pretended not to know about Desiree's disappearance.

Since then it was without Hendrik realized he had lost his ability to make his partner happy above

the bed for taking Desiree's vow.
