The Silly Question

Jane kept on kneeling begging for mercy under Kendrik's feet. The young woman had admitted all her faults because she herself also had no other choice to save her life from a life-seeking angel like Kendrik.

"You've been working for years with me, but why are you even doing this heinous thing? Even you intend to kill me before him? Women really don't know themselves!" kendrik said with a fury.

Looking at Jane's face, Kendrik of course was really fed up and disgusted. All this time he had fully trusted his butler to take care of everything in his house but he got even a betrayal and now Kendrik was very disappointed with the attitude that Jane had done that's.

"Sir, I beg his mercy ..." Jane remains willing to humble herself in front of Kendrik but unfortunately what he has done will certainly not make Kendrik change his mind, he will clearly give the punishment that is worth Jane's actions to Serena.

"Jane, what exactly is your reason for doing all this? Isn't the money I've given you all this time enough to finance your family's life, huh?!"

Jane was confused how she could explain it to Kendrik because the work she had done so far was not at all due to compulsion, but because he was very jealous of Kendrik's life who did not know the feeling of fatigue or fear of his lost wealth. Jane who wants a luxurious life for as long as she is willing to do anything, including committing a betrayal to her own master.

"Wilson! Get rid of this shameless woman!" kendrik.

Wilson quickly dragged Jane into the car. While Kendrik returned to the place where Serana was waiting for him and he will wait for news from his bodyguards about Jonathan who had previously escaped. He hoped that the man would be caught soon so that he could be a little calmer. Otherwise, the people around her would be a threat to her including Serena herself who would be Jonathan's target.

From a distance Serena saw Kendrik had returned and the woman looked so relieved to see the presence of the man, now her fear finally slowly disappeared. Serena even went out of the car with a faint smile.

"Have you caught the guy?" serena asked curiously.

"Hem, that's it and that's it!" point Kendrik towards Jane who is being smothered by Wilson.

"He?!" serena asked very surprised to know all the truth. He did not expect the person who had smothered him at that time was Jane. Whereas when she was in the villa before her, Jane did not look at all like she wanted to do something evil to her.

"It was fitting that the tone of his voice back then was so similar to her and it was true that it turned out to be her!" muttered Serena.

"Mr Kendrik, why does she know about my husband?"

"You mean?"

"Before she mentioned my husband's name and I thought he had a relationship with that man! I even thought the people who had kidnapped me were my husband's own man!" obviously Serena.

Seeing Jane being dragged by Wilson, the woman's heart seemed to feel unbearable. But, he also can not be too good to others because it will all hurt himself. Since escaping from Bram's house, there have been many things that Serena has been through but the woman has made all her problems a lesson for her future self.

Now Kendrik's got Serena back in the car. However, Serena suddenly noticed a blood stain on Kendrik's abdomen and she quickly examined the previously unhealed wound.

"Your wounds are bleeding again!" serena said, The woman looked a little panicked. However, he was confused about what to do so that the man's wounds would stop bleeding.

"What if an infection gets worse?!"

"No problem, anyways we're going to my apartment that's around this place."

"Then we'll just go home!"

Wilson quickly drives his car, while Jane is put in the garage. Until the woman really felt very tormented to be in her, even to get up to sit alone she was unable to do it because her place really felt so narrow and hot. In the car, Serena seemed agitated to see Kendrik's wounds continue to bleed and she was sure, it was all because the man was moving too much, though it should be with serious injuries like that Kendrik should rest a lot in bed only. But, the man even went to and fro and it was all because of him who was too troublesome Kendrik, to make the man have to suffer from enduring the pain in his stomach.

"Sir Kendrik, you actually know where I'm from?" ask Serena who is curious.

"I have a lot of connections that make it easier for me to find you" explained Kendrik briefly.

"Oh."

"We've arrived, come down now."

Serena got out of the car, followed Kendrik into an elevator leading to the top floor. Serena saw the floor they were heading to at this time was the 10th floor until a few minutes later they had arrived at Kendrik's apartment and the man was seen issuing a card similar to an ATM to open the apartment door.

"Mr Kendrik, you're a very rich man but why don't you find a woman to be your wife. It's free to have everything but live alone like this!" obviously Serena while looking around the apartment owned by Kendrik who was involved so luxurious and big it.

While Kendrik chose to treat his wounds but hearing Serena's words just now made him speechless. Although he knew what the woman was saying was true, that he should have found a wife not to mention that his age was no longer young and had made enough of a household, he said, but Kendrik has never thought about it all.

"Then what about you? Why why. You ran away from your husband?"

"A very stupid question! It's obvious what all the facts are like, but it's still asking me!" pissed Serena.

"Did you love your husband before?" asked Kendrik curiously.

"Why did I say that to you? Is that really important to you?"

"If you don't want to say it, I don't mind it either!" For some reason in his heart, Kendrik felt very upset with Serena who did not want to tell the truth for him.

"This stupid man asked something silly like that! Married to that man alone because it was forced and I obviously couldn't possibly love him, what's more he's a very cruel and selfish man, which woman would put her heart to a man like Bram!" muttered Serena in her heart
