A month had passed since Zhang xifeng and Mei Ling's fight against the Hybrids. Now the two men are in a small village in S City and grilling a fish to eat.

In this one month, Mei Ling and Zhang xifeng had become closer and understood each other. However, Mei Ling kept her true identity a woman to Zhang Xifeng a secret.

It was not that he did not trust the demon general, it was just that in these 1 month they had met several women on his way and Zhang Xifeng hated and avoided them like a plague.

"Zhang Xifeng's! What would you do if someone lied to you?"

Zhang Xifeng stared at Mei ling with a flat face at his sudden question. In these 1 month he felt that he had gotten closer to this brat, however, Zhang Xifeng was somehow able to sense that this brat before him was hiding something from him. Zhang Xifeng did not care much at first, as he felt that at least everyone would have some secrets so he did not force the little man before him to tell him everything.

"I'll be angry of course" Zhang Xifeng replied and saw the change in expression on the face of the little man before him who looked pitiful. Unknowingly the corner of his mouth revealed a slight smile.

"But if indeed someone who lied to me had a reasonable reason, I might think of forgiving him.!"

"Is that so?" Mei ling asked once more and got a light nod from the demon general. Seeing this made him excited. "Alright I'll look around"

Zhang Xifeng nodded his gaze towards the body Mei ling stepped away with a light jump looking excited.

After walking a considerable distance, Ye Mei Ling looked around her place warily. Feeling that there was nothing or anyone, the girl disappeared within seconds into her space.

During the trip with the Demon General, Mei Ling gained a lot of freedom, so when she herself, she will definitely enter the space to do some things.

When he finished with what he did. Mei Ling again appeared at her place just now disappeared.

"What's going on?" The girl's voice sounded hoarse staring at the surrounding scenery standing that had looked fine was now messy and charred in several places.

Mei Ling shook her head softly to wake up from her stupidity. A sharp white-colored long sword appeared in his right hand. The girl stared intently at the surroundings where she was and disappeared a second later to where Zhang Xifeng was.

Mei Ling stared foolishly at the scene for a second before regaining consciousness and flashing away right beside Zhang Xifeng.

"What's going on? I only disappeared for about 30 minutes but why all of a sudden so many scorpions?" Mei Ling asked then looked at Zhang Xifeng who was now right behind her back. They stared vigilantly at the scorpions that formed a circle trying to prey.

"Eitherway! I don't know for sure. However, this scorpion was acting strangely, as if someone was controlling it!"

"Then we have to get out of here first!" Mei Ling proposed, the girl's left hand raised was about to hold Zhang Xifeng's shoulder

"AWAS..!"

The sharp and pointed tail full of poison that was behind the body of the scorpion snatched towards Mei Ling ferociously. Zhang Xifeng hugged Mei ling's twisted body and formed a thick Ice shield. However, because the shield was formed suddenly then the Ice wall had a very fragile toughness.

Crash..!!!!!!

The black scorpion's sharp tail split open the wall of Ice like a piece of paper and smashed straight towards Zhang Xifeng's back viciously.

"Don't......!!!!!!"

Mei Ling screamed in horror hugging the burly body protecting her. The girl frantically concentrated the power of the teleport to disappear from the place to avoid the scorpion's tail being spaced thin like the blink of an eye.

A moment after the two bodies flickered disappearing, the two of them appeared hundreds of kilometers away from that place. Mei Ling and Zhang Xifeng fell in a tight embrace position with Mei Ling on top of it.

Mei Ling whimpered softly and pushed her body to stand up. The girl's eyes reddened with slowly flowing tears staring at Zhang Xifeng who was lying down filled with blood and pain on the ground.

"Zhang Xifeng's? Nah! Nay! I beg! Please don't leave me!" Mei Ling continued to shout hysterically shaking Zhang Xifeng's body with trembling fear.

In the distance somewhere, stood a black figure wearing a black hood on his head staring towards where the battle Mei Ling and Zhang Xifeng had been. The figure seemed to chuckle softly while drinking a thick red liquid in a glass in his hand with a straw.

"Hehhhh, interesting, hehe. I was not very interested in this job at first, but now I am very interested in.huhuhaha"
