POV Amalia
I was on a plane heading to Pekanbaru. With Siska's help, I reached the airport. Not an easy matter, I decided to stay away from Mr. Angga. The man who has taken my heart. He's a good man. Honestly, it's so hard to leave her. Especially considering his struggle so far so that we can unite. But, I realize. Where is the real place I am. I don't deserve Mr. Angga. Moreover, her parents were clearly against our relationship. I don't want to make Mr. Angga a bad boy. Because he was against his parents.
Not only that reason, I decided to leave Mr. Angga. Mr. Dwi's threat is the main reason I leave the people I love. It's heavy, but I have to be strong. Let me grow up the child in my womb alone. I don't want his existence to be a burden on his biological father. Am I strong? I'll try it. It is not easy to raise a child without a father.
That night I could not sleep well. There are many things that disturb my mind. One of them is how to escape from Pak Angga. At first I was hesitant to leave Mr. Angga. But I remember my parents in the village. They are now suffering from living their lives. What if Mr. Dwi does not mess with his words. That would make my family suffer. The rich man will do everything in his power to make his plan work. Including hurting others.
I don't want my parents to carry a heavier burden. Let me, I, bear it myself. I could see them living comfortably there. Let me suffer. My decision is round. After dawn prayers, I told Siska to pack my things and take her straight to the airport. Of course, Siska would be happy to help me. Before I left, I wrote a letter to Mr. Angga. I purposely wrote, that all this time I had never loved her. So that he doesn't try to find me and forget me. Because I felt I was lying to her all this time.
I came out of the room, I saw Mr. Angga still sleeping on the living room sofa. Slowly I approached her, I stood next to her sleeping. Without feeling these tears fall down my cheeks. I feel so guilty for playing with her feelings. I stared at the face of the man who was still asleep on the sofa. Her face was very shady, making my heart hesitate again to leave her. I think I'd really like to touch it. But I'm afraid, it'll disturb his sleep. I just looked at Mr. Angga's face. Until I realized, there was a non-certification of incoming messages on my phone.
"I was in front of the complex" said a short message from Siska who deliberately picked me up.
With doubt I approached Angga sir. I observed from a close distance the man who was still sleeping on this sofa. My instincts move fast. Unknowingly, I kissed her forehead. I also moved straight from there. Afraid she'll wake up. Goodbye sir, I love you. It is undeniable my heart says I love her so much.
I met Siska who was waiting in front of the minimarket.
"Am!!!" she shouted as she watched me search for her whereabouts. I immediately approached Siska.
"You're ready, aren't you?" siska asked a little doubtfully.
"I'm ready" I answered with confidence.
"Well, I'll take you to the airport, okay?"
By driving an online taxi that Siska ordered. We drove to the airport. I took the eleven o'clock flight. That was all that prepared Siska. I am lucky to have a friend like him. After an hour, we arrived at the airport.
"This is my grandmother's home address, and this is her cell phone number. Hope you feel right there, Am. Oh yeah, I asked my cousin to pick you up at the airport. But if he doesn't bother, he'll pick you up. I gave you the address of Grandma's house. Just in case my cousin can't pick you up at the airport." Siska gave her a piece of paper containing her grandmother's address and mobile number in Pekanbaru.
"You be careful, right there. I will definitely miss out on you. You take good care of my niece..." And Sedaya hugged me. I am really moved, because there are still good people like Siska in this world.
"Thank you Sis, thank you very much
*******
Silver panther car, which is parked in the airport parking lot. Become the center of my attention. One of them waved his hand at me behind the steering wheel. I'll approach her soon.
"With Amalia, right?" because that guy was me.
"Yes, are you Afdal?" I answered asking him back.
"Yes, let's go in!"
After I met Afdal and I got into his car. Siska's cousin turned out to be very friendly. We talked a lot in the car.
It was true what Siska said. The village where her grandmother lived is still fairly quiet. Seen still.numerous rubber and palm trees here. Along the way, that's all I see. It is rarely his home here.
We entered a nice house. Because I can see his house clinging to each other. Shortly after, our car stopped at a permanent house in front of which there was a button.
"We've reached Am, let's go down." Afdal opened the door and then got off. I'm still sitting on my seat. A little bit of nervousness, awkward whack into one.
"Am, let's get down!" Afdal's words seemed to suggest I'd come down.
Afdal took me into the house.
A woman over half a century old approached me. He smiled kindly at me. My nervous feeling instantly disappeared after seeing Grandma's hospitality to me.
"You're Amalia, beautiful." Then he hugged me.
"Let's take grandma to the room." Grandma took me to one of the rooms in the house.
"Well, you sleep here. Consider it your own home. Don't hesitate," he said, smiling at me. After showing me my room, Grandma told me to take a break. He knows my true condition. If I was pregnant, now.
In this place, I will start my new life. After this I will set my front tone from now on. I have to open a business with money given by Mr. Dwi. I have to live this dark life. Far from parents or family. Here I will try to forget my memories with Mr. Angga. I'm going to raise my own son. Let him not know where his father is. That's better in my opinion.
Goodbye to Jakarta, goodbye to Mr. Angga. Goodbye to my true love...
