My Beloved Father

The wind blowing very fast makes the sand dust fly. Everyone chooses to take refuge in the house. Until the wind subsides, they leave the house for all their needs. This is what Ibrahim did. He saw his father making a statue out of wood. These are the statues that are adored and praised by his people.

Abraham intended to advise his father. He is commanded by God as His messenger to convey the truth to his family and people. Ibrahim began to approach his father who was carving a statue. Then the statue was painted and worshipped. Strange is the feeling of Abraham. The statue his father had made. What kind of god is that? God was made by man.

Abraham looked back to the past. Before he was commanded as a messenger of God to preach his people there had been people before whom the Lord had sent. They are the chosen ones. And they're gone. The messenger of the Lord to his people who are still alive is Luth. A country far away from Babylon.

Ibrahim was surprised by his father's response.

“My dear father. May peace be bestowed upon you. I ask forgiveness for you from my Lord. Verily my Lord is very good to me”. Ibrahim was disappointed at his father's strong and harsh words. Then he left his father alone stunned and still angry with Abraham.
