After successfully achieving peace between the yokai and human worlds, Yumeko and Fujiro feel that they must better understand the origins of their respective worlds. They want to find out more about the history of yokai and humans, as well as the secrets that have been hidden.
As they begin to investigate, they discover fascinating evidence about the deeper yokai world and the rich history of mankind. They both felt that something was hidden from them, and they wanted to reveal it.
The clues lead them to an old temple hidden in an unexplored forest in the yokai world. When they arrived at the temple, they found a room full of ancient scrolls and magical artifacts. One such artifact is a crystal ball that emits magical light.
As Yumeko holds the crystal ball, the two of them are suddenly dragged into a vision that reveals important events in the history of yokai and humans. They witness the first encounters between yokai and humans, the major events that shaped these two worlds, and even the origin of Kitsune, the yokai Yumeko species.
They also witness the tragic love story between the Kitsune yokai and the humans that repeated over the centuries. It is an inevitable love story, but it is also full of grief and sacrifice.
As they exit the vision, Yumeko and Fujiro feel that they have understood more about their world history, but also find that they now have a great responsibility. They must maintain the peace they have been working for and respect the history of these two worlds.
Returning from the ancient temple, Yumeko and Fujiro begin to discuss about their role in maintaining peace.
