"Why are you avoiding me?"
"Just feel it, Mom. I didn't mean it that way."
"You're not like this. Even I called you so many times you didn't answer."
"I just don't want mom to disturb her break. Mas, I went to Mom's room first, she must've been waiting."
"Diana, what's wrong with you?"
Diana left Haris who was still sitting on the stairs of the internal medicine room.
The stairs leading to the second floor of the hospital located at the end of the hallway where they met were silent whenever the opportunity arose.
After the incident that night Diana tried to avoid Haris. Guilt haunted him. His little heart was eager to have Haris as a whole not as a mistress.
Even if it's just a wish that won't be real. Diana tries to little by little make Haris not to see her again so they will forget each other.
At 12 pm Diana was still awake. He lay on the couch. Sometimes he looked at his mother who was asleep.
'I want us to talk'
A message came in on Diana's phone.
'Where?'
'*I'm waiting in the parking lot'
'Yes*'
Diana enveloped her mother and touched the old woman's forehead, ensuring that her body temperature was not problematic. Then he headed for the parking lot.
Diana sees Haris' car and approaches him immediately. Before that, he used a mask to cover part of his face.
"We're talking somewhere else."
Haris took Diana to her apartment.
"Why you?" Ask Diana again
"I can't get rid of the guilt of your wife, Mas. I'm afraid if he finds out, then he'll be furious. My family will be very disappointed."
Her biggest fear was disappointing her family, especially her mother. In their eyes Diana was an obedient child and never made trouble.
If her family knew, perhaps Diana would end her life to make up for her current folly.
"He'll never know, we'll overcome this. As long as we're careful."
"When he knows everything, you'll definitely prefer him over me."
"I will still choose you."
"What if she's pregnant. You must have left me immediately."
"Whatever happens I will still choose you, Di. I'm just waiting to love you."
"Leave me, Mas. I'm afraid I'm disappointed again. Until whenever we can't be together."
"I'm going to divorce my wife for you but you have to wait."
"How long do I have to wait?"
"It won't be long, I promise. We're getting married."
That feeling was what Diana was so afraid of. Desire to have what is not his, want to belong to others to be made his happiness.
He kept asking if Haris could be trusted. Whether all his words are true or just a joke.
I don't know the failures and disappointments in men he has often faced. So it feels like every man's speech is not sincere.
That night they were again dissolved in their own feelings. Diana was defeated by Haris' caresses and gentleness.
Reaching the height of enjoyment together. Sweat sprayed as if the air temperature cooler does not work.
"Why don't you use security? What if I'm pregnant."
"I will divorce my wife and marry you."
Haris pulled Diana in his arms.
"If we had met sooner, we wouldn't have been like this."
"I'm sorry I haven't been able to make you the only one in my life."
"You still love your wife?"
Haris did not answer Diana's question. He chose silence.
Of course that's a very difficult question. Diana cursed to herself who gave a silly question. Now he is injured because he has no answer.
If Haris answers not to love his wife then Diana is unlikely to believe and if Haris says only love her then that too is unacceptable.
"I have to go back to the hospital now."
"We take a shower first. After that I will take you there. Mom was asleep when you left?"
Diana nodded and walked to the bathroom to clean her body.
They did it one more time in the shower. Haris' touch was so intoxicating, Diana could not resist it.
But regret continued to arise afterwards. Diana knew Haris felt that too. Haris' mind burden is also very heavy however he is married.
The next day Diana drank the morning after pill to prevent pregnancy.
Diana does not want to get pregnant out of wedlock with Haris. Honestly, Diana didn't want to believe Haris' words.
Although repeatedly he said he wanted to get offspring from him immediately.
It's a form of self-protection for Diana. Because everything now still looks ash-and-ash and full of uncertainty.
Haris could have arrived - suddenly left himself when all was revealed.
