The rain soaked the earth that afternoon. The air is cold and humid, making anyone feel lazy to do activities outside the home.
But it is different from a girl who is dancing under the swift rain with joy.
"Jeez, Anaya!!" gwen shouted as she saw her daughter playing with rainwater in the yard. He took an umbrella to get to his daughter.
"Nadiah. Let's go in the house. You will be sick!" Gwen immediately pulled her daughter's hand.
"No, Mommy!" rengek Anaya when forced into the house.
"Don't be reckless! You're so big why are you acting like a kid?" Gwen did not stop babbling while taking her daughter into the bathroom.
Anaya sat on the closet and took off her clothes one by one, then wore a white bartrobe so that her body would not get cold.
"And why don't you wear an ABD (a hearing aid)" Gwen asked as she put the device in her daughters ears, and then she picked up a towel to dry her daughter's beautiful hair
"I'm tired of wearing that thing!" anaya curled her lips.
Gwen stopped the movement of her hand that was drying her daughter's hair.
"Listen to Mommy, you must always wear that tool, Naya," Gwen said in a soft tone.
"Why Mom? Why am I different? I want to be like any other kid! I want to hear the sound of rainwater, the sound of music and the sound of Mommy and Daddy without that device!" asked Anaya with a sad face, and two teary eyes.
Gwen hugged her daughter tightly, holding back the pace of her tears from falling down her cheeks.
"You are no different. You are a special child, you are the pride of Mommy, and Daddy" Gwen said softly.
Sometimes fatigue approached Anaya and made him frustrated with the shortcomings he had. Not only that, he often gets bullyan from his school friends because he is deaf.
Both Anaya's parents move Anaya to another school when they find out her daughter is getting bullied.
But all is not as expected at her new school, Anaya still gets bullied from her classmates, making the girl almost depressed.
"I want to change schools" Anaya said after the hug unraveled.
"About? This is the third time you've asked to change schools" Gwen told her daughter.
"My friends are unwilling to accept my situation," Anaya replied in a trembling voice holding back her cries.
Gwen let out a long sigh then gently rubbed the tops of her daughter's heads. "Later Mommy talk to Daddy," said Gwen softly.
As a mother, of course Gwen felt sad to see her daughter like that. But, back again, Anaya does have flaws but the beautiful girl also has extraordinary advantages.
"Don't be sad anymore. You should be proud of Naya, because you are a very smart girl, have a beautiful voice and make other girls out there jealous of you," said Gwen, who is now combing her daughter's hair.
Anaya smiled wryly at her mother's words. If only he could have a chest like his mother said.
